Do you need to watch the series in order to enjoy the movie?

I haven’t seen any of it before, will I be lost watching the movie?

If you'd posted this in an existing "Downton Abbey" thread (there's an active one right now), there wouldn't have been any confusion and you would've gotten an answer from someone who's familiar with the show.
