Moron go casino.

by Anonymousreply 1May 23, 2020 8:51 PM

Why do all of them want to go to a casino? Are people dumber than I thought?

by Anonymousreply 2May 23, 2020 8:53 PM

And what's especially ironic is that many of them are elderly and/or fat. Definitely a high risk group.

by Anonymousreply 3May 23, 2020 9:05 PM

Not a surprise. Most of the Coachella Valley and Inland Empire (outside of the nicer parts of Palm Springs) are filled with some of the dumbest, fattest trash that has ever lived.

by Anonymousreply 4May 23, 2020 9:07 PM

It’s an addiction, folks! They have been in withdrawal long enough.

by Anonymousreply 5May 23, 2020 9:47 PM

The casino probably tightened the slots to make up $

Not a good time to lose what little money you have.

by Anonymousreply 6May 23, 2020 9:56 PM

Degenerate gamblers.

by Anonymousreply 7May 23, 2020 9:58 PM

Are the machines literally catching fire because they're playing so hard?

by Anonymousreply 8May 23, 2020 9:59 PM

They had a "WE'RE OPEN!" radio ad on last night.

by Anonymousreply 9May 23, 2020 10:23 PM

Look closer, fools. The majority are Chinese who bus from the LA area to the casino. Great convoys of private buses.

by Anonymousreply 10May 23, 2020 11:35 PM

R10 is right. The Chinese are serious when it comes to their gambling. Lots of Chinese at that casino. The outlet mall next door to it has announcements in English and Mandarin. Not English and Spanish.

I don't see a ton of overweight people either.

by Anonymousreply 11May 23, 2020 11:46 PM

R10 is Stevie Wonder. Don't see Chinese in the photo, just trashy Americans.

by Anonymousreply 12May 23, 2020 11:48 PM

Alaskan king crab at the buffet.

by Anonymousreply 13May 23, 2020 11:58 PM

R10 and R11 those photos don't suggest an overwhelming Asian presence at all.

Buffets are all closed, so no Alaskan King Crab legs.

by Anonymousreply 14May 23, 2020 11:59 PM

ABC7 did a brief piece on the crowds. Again, they are definitely not primarily Asian.

Desert Hot Springs and much of the Coachella Valley is a dumping ground for trashy meth heads. Not surprised. There goes those social security checks.

by Anonymousreply 16May 24, 2020 12:25 AM

morongo casino, omg I am LOL. They are just taking people's money.

by Anonymousreply 17May 24, 2020 12:38 AM

California. Figures.

by Anonymousreply 18May 24, 2020 1:24 AM

Is morongo casino a nice place, luxury? Or is it low end?

by Anonymousreply 19May 24, 2020 1:32 AM

R19 - there are very few luxury casinos anywhere. This one is in the middle, but they had just expanded quite a bit.

It's in the middle of the nowhere in an ugly patch of the desert. It only exists to take money. Oh, but there is actually a good outlet mall there - a real outlet mall with high-end brands.

by Anonymousreply 20May 24, 2020 1:39 AM

R20, Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirage is much nicer but overall, the Indian Casinos in California aren't luxury like the Wynn Las Vegas. It's a different experience. Morongo's not bad, probably comparable to the Mirage but much better than some of the others like Pechanga which is thought to have a strong gang presence.

by Anonymousreply 21May 24, 2020 1:45 AM

They better keep their fuckng Covid in Rancho Fucking Cucamonga then! I'm fucking sick of working from home. I have people to judge cruelly in Studio City!

by Anonymousreply 22May 24, 2020 1:48 AM

I lived in Palm Springs about 15 years ago. I am a physician and worked at Betty Ford ( we call it "Betty").

Betty was desperately trying to capitalize on the wealthy Morongo and Aguas Calientes tribes, who had high rates of meth abuse/behavioral issues. Betty saw dollar signs for sure.

But back then Betty was run by irritable dry drunk Irishman, a fervid 12 stepper, who would take patients off their psychiatric medications so they would experience "authentic suffering". It was a disaster. I had psychotic meth addicts that were rooming with upper class drunks from Orange County. One of my Morongo patients decked her roommate during a psychotic breakdown. I still remember, the roommate was the daughter of a prominent surgeon in OC.

They brought me on board to quietly medicate the psychotics and depressed.

Oh, and at that time, the Riverside County sheriffs said they would no longer enter the Morongo Reservation, as they were getting shot at by drugged up tribe members with assault rifles.

by Anonymousreply 23May 24, 2020 1:59 AM

R21 does pechanga have Asian or Mexican gangs. It says 4 stars on google.

by Anonymousreply 24May 24, 2020 2:08 AM

R21, African American gangs.

by Anonymousreply 25May 24, 2020 2:10 AM

R3 Natural selection. Thin out the idiot population.

by Anonymousreply 26May 24, 2020 2:15 AM

My folks live in Palm Springs and go to Aqua Caliente. I've gone with them and it has pretty decent rooms and a great pool area-I don't really gamble so avoid the casino for the most part. Today, they got a letter from the casino giving them each a $500 gambling credit. They don't even go that much and won't be going anytime soon but I'm sure that incentive will draw a lot of morons.

by Anonymousreply 27May 24, 2020 2:18 AM

Pala has a fairly substantial Mexican gang problem. That's almost historical there.

by Anonymousreply 28May 24, 2020 2:19 AM

WHAT R4 SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 29May 24, 2020 2:20 AM

Who has the fucking money to gamble? WTF?

by Anonymousreply 30May 24, 2020 2:23 AM

They should stand a bit father apart. That's all I can really say.

by Anonymousreply 31May 24, 2020 2:27 AM

Well, this is only fair. We gave them small pox.

by Anonymousreply 32May 24, 2020 2:29 AM

They are giving away $500 in gambling credits. Of course these losers will risk their own lives for $500.

Gamblers are disproportionately old and Republican. Culling the herd.

by Anonymousreply 33May 24, 2020 2:36 AM

R10. Are they Chinese? The Filipinos flock to the casinos too.

by Anonymousreply 34May 24, 2020 2:46 AM

Tribal land doesn't follow federal law.

by Anonymousreply 35May 24, 2020 2:49 AM

Tribal land doesn't follow state law. It does follow federal law.

by Anonymousreply 36May 24, 2020 3:13 AM

Regardless of whatever laws they follow R35, the Morongo buffet is closed.

"The pools and spas, gyms, Cielo Steakhouse and Potrero Canyon Buffet will all remain closed, along with valet parking, and poker and bingo rooms."

by Anonymousreply 37May 24, 2020 3:25 AM

No Bingo? F@ck it I’m not going!

by Anonymousreply 38May 24, 2020 3:31 AM

Both Pala and Agua Caliente have also closed their buffets. I believe they follow the guidelines from the National Indian Gaming Commission and it has decreed no buffets as a condition to open early.

by Anonymousreply 39May 24, 2020 3:33 AM

No buffets? Damn Indian givers.

by Anonymousreply 40May 24, 2020 3:45 AM

Release the drones.

by Anonymousreply 41May 24, 2020 4:07 AM

Expecting my mom to sneak off to the casinos now.

by Anonymousreply 42May 24, 2020 4:12 AM

And everyone who goes there probably got a stimulus check. What a waste.

by Anonymousreply 43May 24, 2020 6:17 AM

The Agua Caliente Casino in downtown PS can be fun for a few hours with friends and the buffet is cheap and decent enough. However, I don't envisage visiting a casino for a very long time.

by Anonymousreply 44May 24, 2020 7:29 AM

If they drinkum enough firewater, they will lose all their virus checks.

by Anonymousreply 45May 24, 2020 1:08 PM

People are spoiled and they were upset that they couldn't have a Memorial Day weekend, and all corporate politicians were getting heat from businesses who wanted Memorial Day business, so they caved and opened a lot of places up.

Check the nationwide Covid stats around June 7th or so, should be interesting to watch.

by Anonymousreply 46May 24, 2020 1:14 PM

Another problem with this - they don't pay federal taxes yet they've applied for government bailouts. WTF?

by Anonymousreply 47May 24, 2020 2:02 PM

[Quote] People are spoiled

Truth!

I'd say Americans are spoiled!

by Anonymousreply 48May 24, 2020 5:45 PM

So Brave and Passionate.

by Anonymousreply 49May 24, 2020 5:55 PM

I don't get this. I had called my favorite gay B&B in Palm Springs, which is basically 15-20 little bungalows with all exterior, outdoor access. There is a plenty of space at the pool, yet the owners were telling me that Palm Springs was still on lockdown similar to LA and that right now mid June is the earliest they might be able to open. Why is Morongo getting to open up in any capacity, especially a casino? Isn't that like stage 3 or 4 for CA? Is it b/c the are on an Indian reservation or something?

by Anonymousreply 50May 24, 2020 6:07 PM

[quote] Is it b/c the are on an Indian reservation or something?

I was going to respond with the answer, but anyone who doesn’t take the time to spell out ‘because’ should take the time he saved with that abbreviation to read the thread.

by Anonymousreply 51May 24, 2020 6:19 PM

[quote]Is it b/c the are on an Indian reservation or something?

That, and they know all the worlds to "I'm an Indian Too" from Annie Get Your Gun, Rose.

by Anonymousreply 52May 24, 2020 6:58 PM

Isn't it ironic now that pro-choice eldergays won't let fucktards choose how and when they are going to die?

by Anonymousreply 53May 24, 2020 8:03 PM

You think the fucktards aren't going to infect any other people who had no choice in the matter, R53? That's the difference, Einstein.

by Anonymousreply 54May 24, 2020 8:40 PM

R54, abortion is contagious!

by Anonymousreply 55May 25, 2020 1:46 AM
