I cried while rewatching “Real World: New Orleans” Complete Season

I LOL so hard at Danny making the entire first day about himself with “the secret”.

There was such an awkwardness between Jamie (from North Chicago) and David (from South Chicago) when they met. I was uncomfortable watching lol.

I loved Real World because it really did put different young people from different backgrounds in the same house to live. A fantastic experiment.

I remember being repulsed by David when this originally aired but while watching now I am like “damn, he’s sexy”. It must be the personality that killed it for me. But he seems super cool at first. Idk why he becomes antisocial with the cast eventually.

My favorite seasons are 11 and 12.

11 (Chicago) is the final season that followed the original format and then 12 (Las Vegas) changed the franchise forever and made it about hot people fucking.

I remember watching The Real World in the mid to late '90's when I had just become a teenager. I thought it was exactly how my 20's would be. Lol how dumb was I?

Danny is the type that falls hard fast. I’ve seen people just meet and pretty much fall in love right there. Never ended well, minus one, who are still married.

I bought the complete first season in New York on DVD at Amoeba on Sunset (RIP) for $3.99, which was my favorite season and cast.

I found out later that the music rights were only cleared for broadcasting on MTV, and replaced with generic, soundalike songs for physical product and syndication, which takes away a lot of the appeal. There were so many early 90s songs throughout the first season that it's very noticeable when they are removed.

I'm surprised that RW:NO aired in 2000. I think of the show as from the 90s and even though I know it kept going I thought I stopped watching it back then. I did watch NO for Danny but that was the last season I kept up with. Watched Las Vegas briefly for the stripper guy from Austin but it wasn't enough to hold my interest. I'm still surprised Matt from New Orleans wasn't gay. He seemed gayer than Danny.

Melissa found out from one of the promoters who called her and said why is this chick trying to undercut you? She proved she would do anything to get ahead when she tried to kill Veronica in the challenge. She literally tried to kill her by removing her safety vest in a challenge where they were hanging 100 feet above the street. She then claimed she didn't know she could not do that as Veronica was screaming at her to please not do that and begging production to stop her. The entire cast was yelling at Julie to stop as Veronic cried and she just kept going.
