Are your eating habits now better, worse or the same since stay-at-home started?

I'm eating better than I have in years.

Better in that we're looking at calories and portion sizes and cutting back on both; worse since we have bought non-perishables and canned goods, and those tend to be low on nutrients and high in salt.

I decided that fear of stores would be a good time to cut carbs. About two months now without the Usual Stockpile Suspects (pasta, rice, beans, flour, potatoes,...), and I'm quite getting used to it.

Smaller portions = smaller poops!

Better. I’ve always cooked 90% of our meals anyway. But I’m much more conscious of my activity levels and snacking out of boredom. Now I keep track of every morsel and am losing weight.

Eating leftover Mac and Cheese, the kind out of a box.

Better because we're not relying on carryout as much, but worse in a way because we just don't trust produce like lettuce or pre-cut fruits that can't be washed easily. The healthy stuff that's easy to wash or doesn't need washing is frequently sold out.

Worse. Before I ate out every night and had variety and balance and quality. Now I make a proper effort maybe once a week, and for two or three nights I will pick up some good prepared food or order in (good food again.) The rest of the time it's trying to make some sense of the odd things in my kitchen or just snacking instead of a proper meal.

For lunch I frequently did take out from buffet places.

That was the meal during which I'd eat the bulk of the vegetables I'd have during the day - broccoli, peppers, carrots, spinach.

I really miss that.

Intermittent fasting is definitely more tricky when you are working from home
