It just dawned on me that gay pride in SF is suppose to be in just 3 months. Im horrified at the prospect that they might cancel it. Knowing how this bitch mayor was one of the first shut the whole city down, I wouldn't be surprised if she decides ruin gay pride this year.
Cancelling gay pride in SF
by Anonymous | reply 59 | April 18, 2020 2:05 AM |
Of course it is going to be cancelled.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | March 29, 2020 9:05 PM |
extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | March 29, 2020 9:07 PM |
Yes, of course, gay pride celebration should outweigh the public health.
Eye roll.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 29, 2020 9:07 PM |
Just think of the spontaneous Pride everywhere when this is finally over! There'll be fucking in the streets!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | March 29, 2020 9:10 PM |
[quote]Im horrified at the prospect that they might cancel it.
MARY!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | March 29, 2020 9:10 PM |
Your concern for my health is literally homophobic!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 29, 2020 9:12 PM |
OP, if you're so desperate to rub one out while watching strangers suck and fuck on the street just watch videos from last year's pride on Pornhub.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 29, 2020 9:13 PM |
Cancelling gay pride is LITERAL MURDER!!!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | March 29, 2020 9:14 PM |
Los Angeles already cancelled their Pride.
Things are NOT going to be back to normal by June.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 29, 2020 9:14 PM |
provincetown, and indeed, likely ALL public events will be cancelled, dearie.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 29, 2020 9:16 PM |
It's not a matter of "might" OP. It's going to get cancelled. Sorry, Mary.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 29, 2020 9:17 PM |
Who fucking cares about Pride? It's the goddamned apocalypse.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 29, 2020 9:18 PM |
Don’t let that schoolmarm tell YOU what to do, OP. You just march your pretty ass right out there and SHOW YOUR PRIDE no matter what. Who wants to live forever?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | March 29, 2020 9:22 PM |
by Anonymous | reply 14 | March 29, 2020 9:22 PM |
I think if they cancel pride, gays should take to the streets in mass protest and tear the city up like they did after the Dan White acquittal.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 29, 2020 9:28 PM |
Op in drag performed at The Proms in London. Nice work.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 29, 2020 9:29 PM |
If you are American, you need to spell "canceled" with ONE L, not TWO Ls.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 29, 2020 9:31 PM |
Jealous fat bitches are happy as they don't have to see people having fun.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 29, 2020 9:34 PM |
Whatever will the trannies do?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 29, 2020 9:36 PM |
Gee, I can feel the spirit of Pride just radiating from your post r18.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 29, 2020 9:37 PM |
Stay home, pour yourself a cocktail, put on some Gloria Gaynor and dance around in a thong.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 29, 2020 9:39 PM |
I'm sorry, OP, this year you're just going to have to fuck yourself.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 29, 2020 9:41 PM |
The hysteria will die down by then.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 29, 2020 9:43 PM |
Maybe you be be proud without a parade?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | March 29, 2020 9:43 PM |
Please Mary.
Mayor Breed is an idiot yes but the greater Bay Area governments made a JOINT AND SMART decision to shelter in place early.
They should extend it, but SF idiots are too entitled and immature to think they should be held as responsible adults. Too many Peter Pans in this town.
SF Pride has been tragic for a decade now. As has been the Castro.
Seriously can't believe some tragic SF queen is crying over this.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 29, 2020 9:49 PM |
OMG !!!! We cant march in solidarity with our trans brothers and sisters !!!
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 30, 2020 2:10 AM |
I don’t get these people who think everything will be back to normal in a couple of months. They’re building a fucking hospital in Central Park right now. This is going to be catastrophic and we won’t be back to “normal” for another year.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 30, 2020 2:15 AM |
OP = Russian disinformation specialist working diligently through the plague to try to make idiots believe anyone thinks glittery gogo boys on pickup truck floats is more important than a mass die-off.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | March 30, 2020 2:18 AM |
This is suppose to be a free country and yet, our freedoms have been taken away. People should not be just sitting back and accepting this.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 30, 2020 2:57 AM |
Go back to Moscow, [R30].
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 30, 2020 2:58 AM |
Extra! Extra! Gay Pride replaced with Gay Disappointment as Rona continues to wreak havoc throughout America!
by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 30, 2020 3:15 AM |
OP and R30 - if SF Pride is not happening, may I suggest that you use the time freed up in your busy calendar(s) to take a remedial English course?
The use of “Suppose to be” is always the sign of an idiot.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | March 30, 2020 3:23 AM |
Bay Area Shelter in Place extended to May 1.
Sorry OP, not happening this year.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 30, 2020 9:24 PM |
Oh OP, you moronic fucktard of little brain. No one will miss you, if you go traipsing off into the parade traffic of your mind.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 30, 2020 10:58 PM |
Don't rain on OP's parade.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 30, 2020 11:01 PM |
SF's Pride Committee is full on still pushing for Pride 50 to continue despite everything going on.
I'm sure they will argue it's about how the show must go on, resiliency, normalcy, etc.
But like every SF organization, they just need to justify their existence and salaries.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 30, 2020 11:19 PM |
In San Diego, our Pride parade is in mid-July. No word yet about cancellation.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | March 31, 2020 12:21 AM |
California has several Pride parades so it has to spread them out:
May: Long Beach. June: SF and LA, July: San Diego. August: Orange County. November: Palm Springs.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | March 31, 2020 12:23 AM |
LA and Long Beach Pride were canceled weeks ago. And before you dismiss it because it's not SF, it still draws a crowd of about 500,000 people each year. Did you just wake up OP
by Anonymous | reply 40 | March 31, 2020 12:28 AM |
I wish they would cancel them all in perpetuity. They've been taken over by psychotic, deluded trans homophobes anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | March 31, 2020 12:30 AM |
You know what, I think we all need a break from Pride anyway. They have become too commercial, repetitive and stagnant. Maybe it's a good time to regroup for next year with new people and new ideas instead of the career pride people grifting off the event.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | March 31, 2020 12:31 AM |
"Don't rain on OP's parade."
All the gay boys immediately flashed back to one of the greatest tragedies in the history of the Tonys.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | March 31, 2020 12:34 AM |
At some point, people have to rise up and say, ENOUGH of this shit! Cancelling summer festivals is a step too far!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | March 31, 2020 1:57 AM |
I thought gay pride is also about our fight against the epidemic. We are not afraid of AIDS, why should we be scared of COVID-19?
Fuck the virus, we're proud and we're not scared!!!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | March 31, 2020 2:03 AM |
R45 Uhh, pretty sure "we" were scared of AIDS.
And modified our behavior.
Enjoy mass disruptions through the summer because you can't sit your ass at home for one month.
#ProudandStupid

"I don’t get these people who think everything will be back to normal in a couple of months. They’re building a fucking hospital in Central Park right now."
Let's clear up this information.
It's tent examination rooms which are being utilized as a temporary assistance in servicing the high number of patients.
They are not constructing a physical hospital building in the traditional sense.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | March 31, 2020 3:26 AM |
They are thinking of using the old Raiders stadium in Oakland for the same here in the Bay Area (makeshift treatment facility).
Things won't be normal until Fall.
Spring and summer are shot.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | March 31, 2020 3:44 AM |
No one is having any parties or parades in the next few months OP. Let it go, it's not the end of the world. If you are very lucky, maybe Halloween. And that is a big maybe.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | March 31, 2020 7:01 AM |
Mass deaths of old fat farts and smokers are to be accepted, albeit with heavy heart. Told them hundreds of time to fucking lose weight and/or stop smoking. But never did they listen!!! Well it's time for corona-dearest to run its course of population control. At least what's left will be younger, leaner and healthier people. Less burden to social security too.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | March 31, 2020 7:13 AM |
The OP is trolling, but really come on, you didn't even put in 1% of effort.

San Francisco and the bay area put more restrictions on people today. We are now officially a police state!
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 1, 2020 3:43 AM |
Now that the have actually done the unthinkable and canceled the 50th anniversary of pride. Gays should decend on the city in mass on that day anyway and march down Market street locked arm in arm in a fuck you to city of SF and social distancing!

I don't see it happen, but I'd love nothing more than for Pride to regain its counter-cultural roots. It's so boring as a government-sanctioned, corporate-sponsored annual function.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 17, 2020 3:04 AM |
Oh lord! At this point Pride is beer companies, politicians and straight people everywhere. Super boring.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | April 17, 2020 3:19 AM |
So truelala R57. Well-intentioned and overly friendly bank tellers and cable company representatives or likely homophobic straights looking/forced to work extra hours who look miserable in their booths all day long.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | April 17, 2020 3:51 AM |
I'm going to boycott anything in SF once life get back to normal. There is no justification to cancel pride.
