Anyone watching? Hugo is sexy, Ivan is absolutely gorgeous, Jairo is sweet, Andrea is so vulnerable, and Macarena is iconic. Even the murderers are hot.
It has more twists and turns than an episode of Midsomer Murders.

All the clients are women and no mention of gay sex or gay for pay. Big yawn.

R1, is he the pitcher or the catcher?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | March 23, 2020 1:46 AM |
R2, Jairo is gay, does gay for pay, has a relationship with a mentally ill twink. What more could you ask for?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | March 23, 2020 1:47 AM |
More subtitles. And the English dubbing is probably awful. Why does it seem like all the hot, sexed up shows with male eye candy are coming from Latin America?

I saw the entire series and I loved it.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | March 23, 2020 2:06 AM |
Is it a typical Spanish telenovela masquerading as a crime drama?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | March 23, 2020 2:23 AM |
LOVE the show.
I guessed right away who the murderer was, but the longer it went on the more annoyed I got since the twists came off as really desperate (and IMO some scenes didn't work considering who turned out to be the murderer). The better twists were about who the burned victim turned out to be and his backstory. I think that was set up quite nicely.
Love the family feud between the two high society families. Love the old crone with her fancy garden scheming like Angela Channing from Falcon Crest.
The stripper drama was great, too. Each episode features a different performance of the group.

Is there any male nudity?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | March 23, 2020 3:33 AM |
R9, you see lots of butt but no peen.
I figured out who the real killer was early on but I was 100% surprised by the cliffhanger of an ending.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | March 23, 2020 7:14 AM |
The female lead, the lawyer with glasses, was the weakest link. Even Denise Richards was more believable as scientist in The World Is Not Enough.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | March 23, 2020 10:04 AM |
R11. She is the girl from elite another Spanish show with hot eye candies. The movie is horrid and the eye candy strippers weren't enough to keep me watching.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | March 23, 2020 10:45 AM |
Wait, what? THAT's her? She played Marina on Elite? Did not recognize her at all. I guess those glasses and the straightened hair really did change her looks. Still, the role didn't give her much to do other than be an amateur sleuth.

One of the sub-plots took me by surprise. When the newbie agrees to do the hustling gig with his girlfriend being ok with it (and the side by side scene of both regretting it while it's happening). But then no follow-up. I thought that was odd.
I am a total ignoramus when it comes to foreign shows so ... SPOILER ALERT !!! I was completely shocked when the mute character all of a sudden speaks in the dream sequence. I thought the actor was mute in real life, too. LOL.

SPOILER WARNING
The gay storyline was fucking AWFUL. In a world of sex, prostitution and drugs we don't see the gays fuck once. Not even Jairo with any of his clients. The gay couple only shared a PG kiss before making out in the very last scene. I expected so much more from a country that shows teens in threesomes in Elite.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | March 23, 2020 12:40 PM |
R5 This show is from Spain, not Latin America.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | March 23, 2020 12:45 PM |
R2 Nailed it. There is a gay sub-plot, but it's very badly done and it barely gets any screen time. Also, not much gay affection. Which is odd in a show about prostitution and drugs.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 23, 2020 12:46 PM |
It made a bit sense though, that they held back on the gay relationship part, since both characters were in their own way, messed up and at first even embracing their weirdness. At the end they resolved their issues and were ready to kiss. Especially Andrea was messed up by being raped at 10.

Are the guys very hot? In the trailer they looked more like attenuated fashion models than muscle boys or strippers.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 23, 2020 4:29 PM |
R19 I think Ivan and Jairo are really hot.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 23, 2020 11:54 PM |
Is there gay sex in it? Otherwise is a turd.

The cast is jawdroppingly hot, especially the main character accused of murder

R21 No, only a lame gay kiss. No gay sex by a long shot. The gay "storyline" is so bad they barely had any screentime together, let alone showed affection. The show always came up with lame excuses as to why Andrea couldn't be with Jairo. It was always way too convenient.

The main character is so hot

There is very little stripping in the show

I need to know Raudel Raúl Martiato‘s gym routine. His physique is goals.

I watched it when it got on Netflix a few months ago. I didn't expect much but then ended hooked to it. Loved the density of twists and characters in each episode, hot guys aside. Hope there will be season 2.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 14, 2020 12:30 PM |
I was really into it the first 5 episodes or so but I thought there were too many unnecessary twists and turns and the story was taking longer than it should. I still haven't finished it for this reason, it started to bore me and confuse me a little. Love Macarena though.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 14, 2020 1:22 PM |
You are nitpicking.
[quote] not much gay affection
The gay story is told as pure love and super romantic, like I-would-die-for-you romantic, overcoming all possible obstacles to a final kiss. Given the blue boy's childhood trauma, the kiss is logical culmination in S1.
[quote] In the trailer they looked more like attenuated fashion models than muscle boys or strippers
They had nine months of serious training to build more muscle and learn dancing (here is a clip from one dance class from "Ivan"'s IG). "Hugo" was wannabe profi football player, but still got ten kilos of muscles from their nine months preparations.
[quote] The female lead, the lawyer with glasses, was the weakest link.
I disagree. María Pedraza is a very famous actress in Spain. You can see her in other Netflix shows: Élite and Money Heist (La Casa de Papel).
[quote] There is very little stripping in the show
!? Despite a complicated story to tell, there was enough time for elaborate stripping shows, at least one per each episode IIRC.

That a gay prostitute would be holding back from kissing his partner because of trauma is laughable. Plausible in the world of Latin soap opera operating under homophobic premises, but laughable otherwise.
