Janet had a GREAT career, and then she got old. And fat. Just a normal progression.

She's gotten older - 54 this year, and music is so youth oriented. She's had a lot of hits with her wispy, little voice ( she found great songwriters) so she's left her mark in her own way.

She wasn't authentic. She had too many producers and writers without any talent to back it up (except for dancing.) Also the Baja Fresh commercials made her look desperate in a lot of people's eyes.

R28 She had the same producers which is suspicious. They propped her up. They did it all. Once they left, she flopped. She never did have talent and her dancing is basically just that easy military style dancing your local HS cheerleaders can do.

Regardless of how she ended up career wise , I LOVED a lot of her stuff in the 80s and 90s . Same with Hagdonna .
