"If Trump is the emergency you say he is..."

“If Trump is the emergency you say he is—and the Democrats put forward Bernie Sanders—and you tell me you can’t vote for him?

Then that leads me to believe Trump isn’t the emergency you say he is.”

Brilliant @esglaude calling out “Never Bernie” hypocrisy

by Anonymousreply 1February 18, 2020 6:21 PM

Never Bernie is hypocrite, but that's exactly what an important part of his supporters did last election (some of them even voted for Trump)

by Anonymousreply 2February 18, 2020 6:29 PM

R2 12-15%. It's common, though, because 25% of Hillary's supporters voted for McCain over Obama. And before you screech, "It's not the fucking same [expletive]," Hillary was considered as much the front-runner as Obama was, so it is the fucking same.

If we're going to weaponize supporters against their candidates of choice, let's really go there.

by Anonymousreply 3February 18, 2020 6:33 PM

R3 And? What's not good in one case it's neither in the other one

by Anonymousreply 4February 18, 2020 6:42 PM

R3. It’s not the same because Obama won in spite of it. If Hillary had won, it wouldn’t be an issue either.

You want the front runner to be Sanders. How does he plan on dealing with down ticket races when his message is that Democrats are just as bad as Republicans? How can he sincerely address the current threat Trump and the Republicans are to our democracy when many of the primary people working for him voted third party because they thought Hillary was a worse choice than Trump?

You think longtime democrats should be lectured to by Jill Stein supporters?

by Anonymousreply 5February 18, 2020 6:45 PM

Bloomberg admits Bernie can win. Why is he running again?

Hint: Bloomberg was a Republican in 2018.

by Anonymousreply 6February 18, 2020 6:51 PM

Totally agree with OP post. The emergency is Trump.

by Anonymousreply 7February 18, 2020 6:58 PM

"How does he plan on dealing with down ticket races when his message is that Democrats are just as bad as Republicans?"

Was his message "Democrats are as bad as Republicans" when he was busting his ass campaigning for Hillary Clinton at 39-- count 'em, 39!-- rallies in 2016? Give me a break!

by Anonymousreply 8February 18, 2020 7:07 PM

R6, you keep posting that same thing in multiple threads. You’re a very troll and I’ve reported you.

by Anonymousreply 9February 18, 2020 7:54 PM

Bloomberg is a Republican.

by Anonymousreply 10February 18, 2020 7:57 PM

His logic is flawed. Getting the Democratic nomination doesn’t mean Bernie isn’t as dangerous as Trump, nor does it mean that Trump isn’t as bad as we say he his.

The idea that they are both demagogues who use people for political purposes is completely logical and the fact that the panelist at OP ignores that in order to score a rhetorical point tells me all I need to know about him.

by Anonymousreply 11February 18, 2020 8:09 PM

Bloomberg is 10× the threat to the middle class than Trump is.

by Anonymousreply 12February 18, 2020 8:25 PM

The black guy is absolutely right. Bernie is not even my pick but I wanna punch that smug fatass at the end of the video.

This shit is not gonna make me vote for Bloomberg.

by Anonymousreply 13February 18, 2020 9:29 PM

He’s a right wing shill. So is OP. This is their talking point of the day. Plump tweeted the same thing.

F F OP already

by Anonymousreply 14February 18, 2020 9:31 PM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 15February 19, 2020 1:15 AM

I would be willing to bet there are a lot more Bernie supporters who won't vote for the Democratic nominee if it isn't Bernie than the reverse. Just like in 2016.

by Anonymousreply 16February 19, 2020 1:37 AM

Bloomberg is not an option.

by Anonymousreply 17February 19, 2020 2:28 AM

Yeah, he is an option. My dog, Skippy is an option. Trump has to go. Period.

by Anonymousreply 18February 19, 2020 2:34 AM

No, he’s not an option. He’s a variation of Trump.

by Anonymousreply 19February 19, 2020 2:46 AM

Bernie's cult thinks he is actually going to give them everything free. Just as they haven't had to work for anything in their lives, just gimme gimme gimme.

by Anonymousreply 20February 19, 2020 3:01 AM

R20 Is that all your retarded ass knows how to do? Weaponizing supporters against their candidate is a sign of sheer desperation. That’s all you’ve got on Bernie:

“I hate Bernie for reasons, his fans cuz they Bros who want free stuffs!$&&$!!!”

Fucking grimy retard, you are.

by Anonymousreply 21February 19, 2020 3:34 AM

Bernie FOREVAH!

by Anonymousreply 22February 19, 2020 5:05 AM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 23February 19, 2020 2:22 PM

If Trump is the emergency you say he is -- then why would you choose Bernie Sanders as the contender?

by Anonymousreply 24February 19, 2020 3:39 PM

Because even Dump let’s it slip on occasion that Bernie is a real threat to him. Dump is just hoping for or depending on (or both) the establishment blocking Bernie and giving him Bloomberg to chew on.

[quote] "Frankly, I'd rather run against Bloomberg than Bernie Sanders," the president told reporters at the White House. "Because Sanders has real followers, whether you like him or not, whether you agree with him or not. I happen to think it's terrible what he says. But he has followers. Bloomberg's just buying his way in."

And then, of course, from 2018, a secret recording released during the impeachment hearings.

by Anonymousreply 26February 19, 2020 3:49 PM

Yes, let’s take as unimpeachable truth the rantings of why many consider to be the dumbest president America has ever had.

I won’t be scared into voting for Sanders, not by Trump nor by Sanders supporters.

by Anonymousreply 27February 19, 2020 4:04 PM

This election is going to come down to a few thousand votes again in crucial swing states, just like it did in 2016. Don't believe any pundit or pollster who tells you differently. That means we need a candidate who can get Democrats to the polls. I'm thinking that that person is Bernie Sanders.

Biden still does the best in head-to-head matchups against Trump, but voters aren't excited about him, which means low turnout.

Bloomberg has the money to spend and would have a massive turnout operation to rival Obama's, but we would lose a significant portion of Sanders voters and the far left.

by Anonymousreply 28February 19, 2020 4:22 PM

Trump has too much to attack him on...Socialist...Heart Attack....

by Anonymousreply 29February 19, 2020 5:16 PM

R29 How about Trump’s ammunition for Doomberg?

Racist, Homophobe, Heart Attack, Cancer, Stop and Frisk, redlining, Dem to Rep to Ind/Rep to Dem again.

Bernie crushes both of these petulant, narcissistic oligarchs.

That’s why Bernie’s going to win. Doomberg is a warm-up for Dump.

by Anonymousreply 30February 19, 2020 7:10 PM

I hope they ask all of the candidates if they will support the current front runner, Bernie Sanders, once he’s won the nomination.

by Anonymousreply 31February 19, 2020 11:08 PM

Where are all the outrage mongers about Trump's Grab Em By The Pussy comment? I guess they only care if they aren't democrats.

by Anonymousreply 32February 19, 2020 11:12 PM

So per OP, Never Bernie is bad, but Never Bloomberg is just fine - per the other thread OP started stating that he won't vote for Bloomberg if he gets the nom.

Pick your candidate, vote for them in the Primary. If they don't get the nom, vote for the one who does. Trump is worse than all of them.

OP is a hypocrite, and the one running around DL calling referring to Bernie as Daddy.

by Anonymousreply 33February 19, 2020 11:16 PM

Trump is not worse than Bloomberg.

by Anonymousreply 34February 19, 2020 11:21 PM

Trump is worse than EVERYBODY.

by Anonymousreply 35February 19, 2020 11:24 PM

Thank you r33. The host should have turned it around on the guy regarding a Bloomberg nomination.

r34 Bloomberg ran a basically clean house as mayor of New York. I don't have to break laws like Trump to get his way, he can simply offer campaign donations to move the needle on his objectives. That is a very distinct difference between the two. Bloomberg acts within the confines of the law, at the time (cough Stop and Frisk) while Trump shits all over our laws and Constitution. And right now Bloomberg is helping Democrats craft an anti-Trump message nation wide, when has Trump every helped Democrats?

by Anonymousreply 36February 19, 2020 11:25 PM

Yes, every single fucking person running as a Dem (ugh Tulsi) is better than what we have. FAR better than what we have and I will not listen to trolls (I see you BORIS) saying anybody is as bad or worse than the fucking nightmare we have in the WH now. FUCK YOU!

What I do not like are the Never Ts trying to tell us Dems how we should stop with the progressive policies and go more moderate. Don't tell us what to do or try to badger us into adopting moderate policies. Every Dem running, including Bloomberg, is pretty progressive. Warren is very liberal and Bernie is pretty far left liberal. 90% of the Dems running have reasonable progressive policies.

I do not like Bernie and I am not sold on Bloomberg BUT I will vote for them enthusiastically over this dumbass nitwit in the WH now.

by Anonymousreply 37February 19, 2020 11:26 PM

r37 I think people are past the point of trying to convince others to support moderate or progressive candidates in the general. The primary discussion on DL and across the Left is about the General Election. I don't know where this protest vote mindset came from, but it needs to stop. You are either for Trump or you're against him. There is no gray area this time around.

by Anonymousreply 38February 19, 2020 11:30 PM

R33 Aw. You’re pressed.

I’d vote for no one before I vote for Bloomberg, who has no ideology but money. He’s part of the Oligarchical Party along with Dump.

Anybody who won't vote for the only option against this thing we have as President is a fucking Russian troll. That card never gets old because it is TRUE!

by Anonymousreply 40February 20, 2020 2:44 AM

R40 Do you realize your retardation now or will it dawn on you when you rewatch (or watch!) tonight’s debate.

Yo DL, all the candidates are Russian Troll except Doomberg.

by Anonymousreply 41February 20, 2020 2:55 AM

R41 is the offensive Bernie “retard” troll. Pathological.

by Anonymousreply 42February 20, 2020 2:57 AM

R41 Boris, drink some more cheap vodka from that centuries old shithole Russia.

by Anonymousreply 43February 20, 2020 2:58 AM

Bloomberg can beat Trump. Sanders cannot.

Democrats, please don’t blow it.

by Anonymousreply 44February 20, 2020 12:11 PM

Pretty big request there, R44. The Democrats seem hell bent on mass political suicide this year. Meanwhile Trump is well rested, well funded and licking his chops over whatever potential victim the Democrats serve his way, that is if they can stop their infighting long enough to actually nominate some poor sap.

by Anonymousreply 45February 20, 2020 12:40 PM

Despite a “less than” debate performance, Bloomberg can still beat Trump. Can you just imagine the “socialist-labeled”commercials Trump is going to run if Sanders is the nominee? Please do not nominate this guy.

by Anonymousreply 46February 20, 2020 1:27 PM

I agree.

by Anonymousreply 47February 23, 2020 2:29 AM

You know, the reason people don't get it, and so many of them don't see the dangers of Trump, is because right now their personal lives are not affected by him. ost people try to be as invisible as possible, living in their own little world with their own circle of family friends, job, and community. They rarely venture beyond that world. They'll do the 7 nites 8 days in London & Paris and think they're worldly.

by Anonymousreply 48February 23, 2020 4:47 AM

another republican troll post

by Anonymousreply 49February 23, 2020 6:54 AM
