Who else is kinda disappointed that this Cornonavirus hasn't become a World War Z type of pandemic.... yet?

The misanthrope in me wants humanity wiped out.

by Anonymousreply 105March 23, 2020 10:08 PM

I am very disappointed too. They are promising us the Black Plague but it will probably just be another bird flu.

by Anonymousreply 1February 18, 2020 2:17 AM

I am very disappointed too. They are promising us the Black Plague but it will probably just be another bird flu.

by Anonymousreply 2February 18, 2020 2:17 AM

My husband is. He keeps watching the numbers and gets excited “they’re doubling every day!” Poor guy. He’s crushed.

by Anonymousreply 3February 18, 2020 2:19 AM

Certainly the results in China have been extremely disappointing. And no spread to other places needing climate-protective population reduction.

A mere decrease of about five billion would be such a positive thing. Especially if taken from the appropriate places. And not fast enough to lose control of nuclear weaponry, power plants, agriculture, and other things we wouldn't want to be collateral sources of mess.

But noooooooo. Another let-down. At least the slowdown will bump up again when the Chinese start moving about again. But it won't be enough for anything except another reason for the insane Red Oligarchy to slice more humanity from their drones.

And Russia really needs something to hit the Party.

by Anonymousreply 4February 18, 2020 2:22 AM

According to some, this is just a test. The real one is coming soon.

by Anonymousreply 5February 18, 2020 2:26 AM

Don't worry op it's coming soon to a city near you. The us health department spoke that it will last through the end of next year. We will see how excited you are then.

by Anonymousreply 6February 18, 2020 2:26 AM

You could always try to infect yourself, OP. Just take a flight to one of the cities with infected people in the US and walk into the right hospital ward and kiss each patient on the mouth.

by Anonymousreply 7February 18, 2020 2:28 AM

The people rooting for a significant death count should.be the ones who get it and die.

by Anonymousreply 8February 18, 2020 2:29 AM

THE WALKING DEAD should take a cue from Coronavirus and FIND A FUCKING CURE ALREADY!

The broken record is played out, son!

by Anonymousreply 9February 18, 2020 2:30 AM

A mass die off is inevitable for humanity, whatever form it takes, this one isn't actually so bad, sadly it isn't going to take out all those dirty third world poors everyone secretly despises.

by Anonymousreply 10February 18, 2020 2:31 AM

Oh I want to die.... I just want every motherfucker out there to die too.

by Anonymousreply 11February 18, 2020 2:31 AM

The major problem area is Africa, where they mainly produce more people, but not goods and services. At least in China, those who survive will continue making the goods we need since we don't produce most of them anymore in the US.

by Anonymousreply 12February 18, 2020 2:48 AM

I caught a bit of a cough last week and got excited. Not a damn thing. No fluid in my lungs or blood or anything. Now, I’m gonna have to go back to work tomorrow. Fuck my life.

by Anonymousreply 13February 18, 2020 3:06 AM

Give it time!

by Anonymousreply 14February 18, 2020 3:17 AM

The big one will come from Africa. The population is exploding and encroaching into the wilderness Bush meat is huge. Governments are ill-equipped to deal with a highly contagious pathogen. Expect something truly devastating. It'll make Ebola look like a cold.

by Anonymousreply 15February 18, 2020 5:44 AM

It needs to emerge from somewhere isolated, and become fatal only after developing the ability to spread quickly. Play Plague Inc. and you'll see.
Oh I want to die.... I just want every motherfucker out there to die too.

Well, they and you will, eventually.

by Anonymousreply 17February 18, 2020 5:55 AM

If it happens, it happens.

But it has to happen to Gwyneth first, and I want for them to saw her head off, just like in that movie.

by Anonymousreply 18February 18, 2020 5:56 AM

It has been a disappointment, hasn't it? I guess we'll have to wait for a comet or asteroid to hit us.

by Anonymousreply 19February 18, 2020 6:18 AM

Lots of End Times true believers writhing for the rapture.

by Anonymousreply 20February 18, 2020 6:45 AM

The fact that those people are going to be sorely disappointed mitigates my disappointment.

by Anonymousreply 21February 18, 2020 7:11 AM

It only kills East Asians.

by Anonymousreply 22February 18, 2020 7:43 AM

It would be much easier to wipe yourself out of humanity, OP. Just rid us of all of your shit stain.

by Anonymousreply 23February 18, 2020 8:22 AM

It is the AIDS of the 20s

by Anonymousreply 24February 18, 2020 8:24 AM

OP’s attitude is very much like what people hoped for for the gays in the AIDS epidemic.

by Anonymousreply 25February 18, 2020 8:32 AM

It's East Asian AIDS.

by Anonymousreply 26February 18, 2020 8:42 AM

No. No, I am not, OP, you sick fuck.

by Anonymousreply 27February 18, 2020 9:07 AM
It is the AIDS of the 20s

And the buttcrack remains the new cleavage.

A US Twitter account posts stats about the coronavirus several times daily, she swears she's not into promoting fear and alarm, but her numbers are for the world, leaving out that over 98% of confirmed cases are still in China, more people are recovering than dying outside China.

Accounts like hers remind me Americans freak out about the wrong things. Still more likely that the common flu or bullets will fell an American, especially Americans not in large cities.

My city has more than half my country's total coronavirus sufferers, but I'm not at all worried.

by Anonymousreply 31February 18, 2020 5:35 PM

You first, R8.

by Anonymousreply 32February 18, 2020 5:37 PM

R31, what country? Or what numbers? Your being too vague.

by Anonymousreply 33February 19, 2020 12:29 AM

All my Zika babies are furious

by Anonymousreply 34February 19, 2020 12:33 AM

We have a Cornholavirus epidemic in our town and we're all out of TP which is sad because I need it for my bunghole.

by Anonymousreply 35February 19, 2020 12:36 AM

What, OP, do you want a bunch of coronavirus sufferers running around forcibly coughing in people's faces?

by Anonymousreply 36February 19, 2020 12:38 AM

With my luck, I'd survive. The thought of having to forge for food, lack things like water and toilet paper and have no working heat or air conditioning sounds awful.

by Anonymousreply 37February 19, 2020 1:47 AM

r34

All them smashed in headed babies sure were cute, at least.

by Anonymousreply 38February 19, 2020 10:06 AM

You guys remember the charts in Contagion and Outbreak? "This is the US after 24h, this after 48h....". So the Corona virus is really disappointing far. More than 2 months and only 70k cases world-wide and mostly in China.

I have to admit I was hoping the virus would really crush the world economy and particularly the US economy. I dont want anyone to die. People should just get sick for a couple of weeks, unable to work, and then make a full recovery, but bad enough to tank the economy and Trump's re-election chances.

by Anonymousreply 42February 20, 2020 8:58 AM

What if snowflakes were too sick to vote? Those who wished the pandemic to tank the economy are too stupid and short-sighted to influence anyone.

by Anonymousreply 43February 20, 2020 10:40 AM

^What if a pandemic exposes Trump as the weak leader he really is, unable to lead the country in a national crisis. Defunding the CDC over the last 3 years and using the money to build a ridiculous wall would not look good on his record when millions of Americans are sick.

by Anonymousreply 44February 20, 2020 11:19 AM

Unfortunately this coronavirus has a low mortality rate, so there will be no global pandemic. Maybe it will mutate into something far more lethal.

I believe in returning the planet back to the non human animals/flora/fauna that inhabit it.

by Anonymousreply 45February 20, 2020 1:11 PM

What did you expect, OP? After all, it’s “Made in China”....

by Anonymousreply 46February 20, 2020 2:21 PM

A little bit. I admit, however, that I'm a little annoyed that it seems to be blowing up in South Korea just having bought a ticket for late April.

by Anonymousreply 47February 20, 2020 3:06 PM

R47, so you want the disease to explode and kill all as long as it’s not in the country you’re setting foot in. Got it, you selfish cunt.

by Anonymousreply 48February 20, 2020 8:22 PM

It’s okay, OP. There’s a planet-killer asteroid out there with Earth’s name on it, and it’s just a matter of time.

by Anonymousreply 49February 20, 2020 10:56 PM

Just the ones you might be in R48...

by Anonymousreply 50February 21, 2020 3:38 AM

Even the official thread is slowing down a bit. I figured I'd be battling people for the last can of frosting in the supermarket by now.

by Anonymousreply 51February 21, 2020 12:08 PM

Yeah, hardly any cases outside of China. Guess we all have to wait for that asteroid now.

by Anonymousreply 52February 21, 2020 1:37 PM

Bump. :'(

by Anonymousreply 53February 22, 2020 4:35 AM

You’re sick

by Anonymousreply 54February 22, 2020 4:50 AM

You spoke too soon OP

by Anonymousreply 55February 22, 2020 2:18 PM

How so R55? Death count is pretty low.

by Anonymousreply 56February 22, 2020 5:04 PM

Spanish flu also had a low mortality rate, but it was high enough.

by Anonymousreply 57February 22, 2020 5:11 PM

Well in the official Coronavirus thread someone is claiming they're selling off all their stocks because the virus will soon become a pandemic. Jeff Bezos is reportedly doing the same thing.

by Anonymousreply 58February 22, 2020 5:16 PM

BO-RING!

by Anonymousreply 59February 22, 2020 5:35 PM

"Spanish flu also had a low mortality rate, but it was high enough."

The Spanish Flu killed millions of people. Corona so far less than 2000 after 2-3 months. So far it is still disappointing and I actually wasted some $$$ on masks and beans.

I think people are worried that the virus and the Chinese lock down could potentially start affecting the supply chains and crash the stock markets, but unless other parts of the world are affected, I doubt it will be 1928/29 soon.

by Anonymousreply 60February 22, 2020 5:53 PM

All the cassandras in the numbered Coronavirus threads with 'fun' flu names are praying that they're right because that's more important to them than living.

by Anonymousreply 61February 22, 2020 5:56 PM

I have the Modelo virus, it is like the Corna virus but cheaper.

by Anonymousreply 62February 22, 2020 6:08 PM

Let’s all root for OP to get it, die in agonizing contortions and remove his garbagey DNA from humanities gene pool.

Hands up!

by Anonymousreply 63February 22, 2020 6:22 PM

OP what guarantee have you that you’ll survive??

by Anonymousreply 64February 22, 2020 6:39 PM

There’s evidence that Chinese/Asian people may be more susceptible to this particular virus.

by Anonymousreply 65February 22, 2020 6:41 PM

Tell that to those two dagos who just died r65

by Anonymousreply 66February 22, 2020 6:42 PM

A part of me really longs for chaos and won't mind if it takes me out too. I think human population needs to be drastically reduced. But I really hate to see people suffering so I'd rather have it happen by a decrease in birthrate than a catastrophic event killing people.

Some studies have suggested that coronavirus infections could lead to male infertility. If the death rate goes down and transmission rate goes up, this could be a good way of reducing our population.

by Anonymousreply 67February 22, 2020 9:20 PM

This what you want, OP?

by Anonymousreply 68February 22, 2020 9:57 PM

Close, but no banana ....

by Anonymousreply 69February 22, 2020 10:36 PM

Do you think the Chinese regime is a bit disappointed? The one-child policy may have taken too long. A virus that killed a disproportionate amount of the elderly might have helped with their coming demographic trouble.

by Anonymousreply 70February 22, 2020 11:11 PM

Honestly, not having to worry about money anymore would be a load off.

by Anonymousreply 71February 23, 2020 12:41 AM

This is what happens when they start pushing young, up-and-coming viruses on prime time before they’re ready.

The fledgling Corona should have been allowed to “grow legs” on its own, out of the limelight ... let THE PEOPLE discover it!

by Anonymousreply 72February 23, 2020 6:06 AM

Cautiously optimistic that this will INDEED become a WWZ pandemic. :)

by Anonymousreply 73February 23, 2020 9:27 PM

Well, none of the dead are reanimating and chasing down living people, so there goes that scenario. At best, we'll get "Contagion" with widespread panic and mass graves.

by Anonymousreply 74February 23, 2020 9:31 PM

This is starting to get out of control, innit?

by Anonymousreply 75February 26, 2020 1:10 AM

There's nothing scary about the symptoms either. Coughs and a high temperatures pale before the gory Ebola type symptoms which include projectile vomiting blood, exactly like the 28 Days Later zombies.

by Anonymousreply 78February 26, 2020 1:15 AM

I remember seeing Swine Flu progress like this in 2009 and eventually it was declared in the UK to be 'in the community' and people just got on with it and didn't bother quarantining. It killed some old people and some ill people, like this is, and then it died out.

by Anonymousreply 79February 26, 2020 1:18 AM

r74 Only because they are burning the bodies. Why do you think they sealed off the buildings? It's the zombie apocalypse.

by Anonymousreply 80February 26, 2020 1:20 AM

What was the name of the viral variant that was especially tough on perfectly healthy young people in the US about ten years ago?

The media had everyone at risk of dying from it. They didn't.

by Anonymousreply 81February 26, 2020 1:21 AM

Thinking back on the Ebola hysteria. And the Zika.

by Anonymousreply 82February 26, 2020 1:26 AM

by Anonymousreply 85March 2, 2020 10:24 PM

'What was the name of the viral variant that was especially tough on perfectly healthy young people in the US about ten years ago?'

Swine flu. It killed plenty but died out after 18 months.

by Anonymousreply 86March 2, 2020 10:29 PM

The terrified Preppers on the official DL corona threads are hilarious. So easy to trigger them.

by Anonymousreply 87March 3, 2020 3:16 PM

I don’t remember what year it was, but it was during the West Nile virus scare in NYC. At a restaurant bar with my boyfriend, we met an elderly epidemiologist with NYU and asked him how bad it might get. He was happy to talk about it, predicting doom and gloom. This virus was going to have a huge impact because it was spread by mosquitos, and the city’s insecticide-fogging was insufficient and there weren’t enough hospital beds to accommodate all the sick and dying, etc.

We all survived.

by Anonymousreply 88March 3, 2020 5:08 PM

From the Coronavirus main threads

"Going out today, upon request from "Saturday Night Fever" reposting my Coronavirus Freakout topic title suggestion "The Lung and the Breathless" as this thread'll probably top out at 23h00 UTC."

God what retards.

by Anonymousreply 89March 3, 2020 5:13 PM

Those retards are terrified of the virus and genuinely think it will bring the US economy to its knees.

by Anonymousreply 90March 3, 2020 10:27 PM

From the main corona thread. Hysterical. Such babies.
going the hydrogen peroxide route myself. Buying up a lot of it (the regular stuff you get at the drug store), and mixing it 50/50 with distilled water to put in multiple spray bottles to wipe down my home surfaces, work cube and environment, etc. Am trying to find some clean 'handiwipes' to purchase - just dry untreated wipes, with nothing on them - so I can soak them in this HP mixture to create my own sanitizing wipes to carry in a ziploc with me when I'm out doing things. Will use them to wipe down the inside of my car, tables at the cafe where I sit, etc...

by Anonymousreply 91March 3, 2020 10:38 PM

If you don’t let anyone in, you don’t have to desanitize anything!

It’s “back to basics” for [italic]at least [/italic]the next two years (maybe three.) No one comes in, or out.

The main C virus thread is ridden with hysterical Marys.

by Anonymousreply 98March 6, 2020 10:45 AM

by Anonymousreply 99March 23, 2020 10:54 AM

Meh. I am rather hoping for a virus that makes us dance until we drop dead, or so horny we die from fucking constantly.

Death from flu symptoms? So basic.

by Anonymousreply 100March 23, 2020 11:00 AM
Those retards are terrified of the virus and genuinely think it will bring the US economy to its knees.

How’s your 401k, r90?

by Anonymousreply 101March 23, 2020 11:08 AM

It's the fear of being one of the few who has to die from this. All this mass hysteria is based on fear instead of being positive and keep your body immune system up to fight the virus and help those who have a weakened immune system by default (the elderly, HIV positive people or the ones living with AIDS, people with pre-existing lung problems).

The real heroes in this are the hospital staff and the supermarket staff (and the guys who deliver all the food to the supermarkets) all around the world.

by Anonymousreply 102March 23, 2020 11:16 AM

Only 14,000 deaths worldwide so far, R99. How many of these old and sickly people would have died on their own during these last few months anyway? And how many people have been saved now from the decrease of car accidents and air pollution?

As far as pandemics go, it's a very underwhelming one.

by Anonymousreply 103March 23, 2020 11:46 AM

Don't you worry OP. Donald Trump is doing his best to make it the most bigly and fatal pandemic in modern history. Put your faith in Donald, OP to make your hopes come true.
