BREAKING!!! Whitney Houston Back on Tour!!

Whitney Houston’s fans will always love her — and now, seven years after her tragic death, they’ll have a chance to see her in concert once again.

A new hologram tour that’ll feature a digitized version of the late diva belting her chart-topping hits will hit the road in 2020, first overseas and then later across North America.

The show, called “An Evening with Whitney,” will cover all of the star’s most famous hits, including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me),” and “The Greatest Love of All,” all of which will be backed by a live band, back-up singers and dancers.

Ate you going??

So creepy!

by Anonymousreply 1February 17, 2020 12:46 AM

revolting

by Anonymousreply 2February 17, 2020 12:51 AM

No, OP, we are not going.

Let poor old junkie Whitney RIP with her daughter and her daughter's sleazy, murderous bf. With any luck her ex-husband will soon join them in the afterlife (or in the non-afterlife).

by Anonymousreply 3February 17, 2020 12:55 AM

It is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Her family didn't get enough money off of her when she was alive?

by Anonymousreply 4February 17, 2020 12:56 AM

Millions of necrophiliacs can't be wrong.

by Anonymousreply 5February 17, 2020 12:57 AM

I saw her twice in concert during the 80s when she was alive. Nothing is going to beat that.

by Anonymousreply 6February 17, 2020 1:03 AM

I thought when Bobbi Christina's boyfriend died from a heroin overdose, the book on this nonsense would finally be closed.

Was this Janet Jackson's idea?

by Anonymousreply 7February 17, 2020 1:03 AM

I think it's kinda creepy. What type of people are going to fork over good money to see...what? A 3D video? Can't wait for the reviews.

by Anonymousreply 8February 17, 2020 1:03 AM

What would be really funny is if they spend millions on the latest technology and it REALLY did look and sound like her, only it was Whitney during her last year, late, irritable, and with cracky voice that couldn't hit any of the right notes.

by Anonymousreply 9February 17, 2020 1:05 AM

Why stop at Whitney? How about bringing Michael Jackson,Marvin Gaye, Prince, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Kurt Cobain. Holograms tour 2020. Sponsored by Tesla and Apple.

by Anonymousreply 10February 17, 2020 1:11 AM

Pat Houston is a vile, money-grubbing cunt. The Houstons will never stop taking advantage of Whitney's legacy - and will continue to destroy it.

by Anonymousreply 11February 17, 2020 1:12 AM

Sick.

by Anonymousreply 12February 17, 2020 1:14 AM

You could just watch her videos on YouTube. No need to pay for this shitshow.

by Anonymousreply 13February 17, 2020 1:14 AM

At least her hologram can’t smoke crack

by Anonymousreply 14February 17, 2020 2:15 AM

Why do they keep calling these projected videos "holograms"?

by Anonymousreply 15February 17, 2020 2:18 AM

Maybe her ghoulish Aunt Dionne could be the opening act.

by Anonymousreply 16February 17, 2020 2:47 AM

Will the hologram tell us crack is whack?

by Anonymousreply 17February 17, 2020 3:01 AM

R16 Show me the cash money, and I'll do anything, hussy!

by Anonymousreply 18February 17, 2020 3:12 AM

I shall watch it from my bathtub.

by Anonymousreply 19February 17, 2020 3:16 AM

Will her hologram dance better than she could?

Will crackogram Bobbi Kristina be part of the act? They should do a cover of the Peaches and Herb song...”Reunited and it feels so HOOD!”

"Whitney" performs in the studio after an interview with the radiant and adroit Pat Houston. Pat's hair and forehead looking sensational as usual.

They should get real life Dionne to open for hologram Whitney.

by Anonymousreply 26February 20, 2020 10:29 AM

When Dionne goes we need a hologram of her during her later years too: sitting on a stool wearing sweatpants and golf visor and occasionally berating audience members for being late.

by Anonymousreply 27February 20, 2020 10:32 AM

Can they create one for Madge then she can just retire since she can’t perform anymore and is canceling left and right?

by Anonymousreply 28February 20, 2020 10:33 AM

Will the hologram also sweat so profusely she has to perform with a rag in hand?

by Anonymousreply 29February 20, 2020 10:33 AM

r11: after years of silence since Whitney's death THIS is the best Pat could do? How about mining the back catalog, reissuing all of the albums, a box set, ANYTHING but this stupid attempt at a cash grab. I hope her hologram crashes and burns.

by Anonymousreply 35February 20, 2020 11:41 AM

I want drug addled Whitney hologram, but I've always loved a musical comedy.

by Anonymousreply 36February 20, 2020 11:47 AM

So stupid - the wretched sister-in-law will stop at nothing for money

by Anonymousreply 37February 20, 2020 11:48 AM

Didn't care for the bitch when she was alive. I can't think that death will have improved her kitschy songs.

by Anonymousreply 38February 20, 2020 12:02 PM

I wonder what's the latest year they're using for material.

2000? 2004?

What do you think?

by Anonymousreply 40February 20, 2020 7:23 PM

Dionne doesn't like this.

Only because she's not making money from it though.

by Anonymousreply 41February 20, 2020 7:23 PM

Horrifying! I can't imagine who connected with Whitney's estate thought this was a good idea.

I thought she'd been working Nippy's hologram for some time now!

They tried but sales were poor. The debut album is going to be re-released again on vinyl soon.

Why do they always use overseas as the guinea pigs. It's not like any bad publicity/reactions won't instantly reach the US.

by Anonymousreply 54February 21, 2020 3:02 AM

I'd go if, instead of singing it was all Whitney's best bits from "Being Bobby Brown."

LOL. You do realize that Whitney's estate doesn't OWN any of the famous songs she sang? They are all owned by Whitney's greedy record producer who gets all the money from mining the back catalog. All the estate would get is money from the hologram tour of the hologram performing and even then the estate has to give a cut to Clive Davis. Whitney's estate relies on being on good terms with Davis, because he doesn't have to give them anything at all.

by Anonymousreply 57February 21, 2020 5:15 AM

[Quote] They are all owned by Whitney's greedy record producer who gets all the money from mining the back catalog.

As if an artist's recordings being owned by the record company that paid for them to me made is particular to Whitney Houston or Clive Davis...

by Anonymousreply 58February 21, 2020 5:16 AM

*to be made

by Anonymousreply 59February 21, 2020 5:16 AM

Is the holagram gonna smoke crack as well?

by Anonymousreply 60February 21, 2020 5:40 AM

More and more artists are getting optically scanned so their estates can make more $$ after artists ares dead. It's kinda creepy.

by Anonymousreply 61February 21, 2020 5:44 AM

I Know people say Whitney wouldn’t want this (and of course Cissy wouldn’t) but I do wonder when I think about it if she really would be against it. This is clearly the way of the future, every artist will be immortalized this way, Whitney is just at the forefront of it. The young generation today doesn’t even care about good music or know how to recognize good music or a good voice. The artists who’ve been legendary over the last 50 years will soon be forgotten..young people simply don’t care (ask Madge). And let’s be honest, the Whitney of the 80s and 90s who had pride in herself and used to say she could never sing live if she wasn’t giving the very best was long gone by 2010 when she did that awful tour. If she was down with putting on that show, she probably would be down with a hologram if it keeps her memory alive and if the money generated was being put to good use like going to charity or to her daughter (who’s sadly deceased).

by Anonymousreply 62February 21, 2020 11:16 AM

How much this cost?

by Anonymousreply 63February 21, 2020 11:24 AM

Agree that Pat Houston is vile. What doesn’t get enough play is how horrible her brothers are. In the Whitney doc, they were so awful about Robin; predictably homophobic and right there with Cissy and the religious based bigotry. That family is disgusting. Whitney never stood a chance.

by Anonymousreply 64February 21, 2020 11:58 AM

I was watching some of the reality show stuff on Youtube. She had an awesome voice and she could be dressed up really well but what struck me in the tape was how graceless she was off duty... sort of crude and sloppy... how you'd expect the Kardashians to be (admit I've never seen the show.) Maybe she was already on the drugs then, don't know. But I expected more refinement than was there. I didn't realize what a product she was.

by Anonymousreply 65February 21, 2020 12:01 PM

She was a lesbian.

by Anonymousreply 66February 21, 2020 12:13 PM

I wonder if they make her her natural skin tone or if they lighten her up more? You know if it was a Michael he’d be full on albino.

by Anonymousreply 67February 21, 2020 12:46 PM

How much are they charging for a ticket?

by Anonymousreply 68February 21, 2020 12:52 PM

I'll wait for the Al Jolson hologram tour.

Well, duh! Whitney ruined her voice with drugs. Of course, she'd agreed to have some hologram perform instead of her and rake in the money to finance her drug habit.

by Anonymousreply 70February 21, 2020 2:46 PM

I bet a Britney Spears hologram is next. Her parents are greedy enough to get their hands on anything that can make them some cash and the actual Britney isn't into performing for over a decade now.

She doesn’t even go here!

by Anonymousreply 78February 21, 2020 9:45 PM

Well, if it was to look like Whitney the wig would need to be askew, she'd need to be soaked in sweat, and trying to dance awkwardly in place.

by Anonymousreply 79February 21, 2020 10:08 PM

[quote] I wonder if they make her her natural skin tone or if they lighten her up more? You know if it was a Michael he’d be full on albino.

The hologram that was on the UK morning show appears to have a lighter skin tone than Whitney. The whole thing is appalling.

by Anonymousreply 80February 21, 2020 10:42 PM

[quote] I bet a Britney Spears hologram is next. Her parents are greedy enough to get their hands on anything that can make them some cash and the actual Britney isn't into performing for over a decade now.

Britney, JLo and Madonna are great candidates for this. Non-singing performers whose shows are all spectacle are better-suited for a hologram tour. It is a terrible idea for a dynamic vocalist who sang live and did not put forth spectacle in her shows.

by Anonymousreply 81February 21, 2020 10:46 PM
