Actor Christopher Eccleston's Struggles with Breakdown, Anorexia, and his "Feminine" Side
Eccleston is one of my favourite actors and today's Guardian has an interview up with him with some surprising revelations about his issues with his masculinity, his nervous breakdown and severe clinical depression, and, of all things, anorexia.
Look forward to DLer's comments.

The link is cocked up.
There was a thread sometime last year when he initially revealed his anorexia.

I'm too lazy to read that article. But I'm not too lazy to post a picture of his lovely cock.

R1 - Wasn't aware, thanks. Sorry about the link - you can find it easily on today's Guardian in the Culture section.

He’s weird and not hawt.
Who gives a shit about this tedious nobody?

he needs to work. not to become known for his personal problems above all.
he does good work. unfortunately, as an American i rarely get to see it. i always highly anticipate anything he is in. i had assumed he worked on the stage mostly, and that was why one didn't see him often.
it is sad that he has not been well, even while he was doing this work.

R5 - He's one of Britain's most interesting actors - if you think he's "nobody" do move on.
I've seen his range - he can go from playing the traitorous, cook Duke of Norfolk in Elizabethan period drama to an abusive Orthodox Jew in Brooklyn's Borough Park area - he so nailed the accent you would never know he was from Manchester He was amazing as both.
If you think that's uninteresting, fuck off and go talk about Sam Heughan or Henry Cavill - neither of whom have in their entire bodies the talent Eccleston has in his pinkie.

Why should he be struggling when he has a big, long schlong-dong? Some people just have to whinge!!! Just like H & M.

R9 - LOL. Goes to show how much of our wishes are overrated.
Does anyone remember the X-Files with the genie? Who complains to Fox that the first thing people do when they realise what she can do, is ask to be rich or "to have a big woo-woo!"

That's a nice dick.
But R2 shows he clearly no longer has anorexia.

He is my favorite Who, too. Tennant was excellent. But Eccleston brought a quality that combined goofy and bruised very well. Of course good writing helped. I am still wondering what exactly happened between him and Russel T Davis. Eccleston said something to the effect that RTD didn't protect him enough and confidence was broken, which RTD acknowledged and I think even apologized for. Very murky if not dubious.

I found him very hot as the Duke of Norfolk - that long, athletic stride. I recommend an early indie he did with Ewan McGregor: [italic]A Shallow Grave[/italic]. It's very black humor and well worth the watch.

R14- He was quite hot as Norfolk, baleful, cold, and passionate at the same time.
But the performance he really blew me away in was as the as the amoral Orthodox Jew from Brooklyn in "A Price Above Rubies".
