Chrissy Metz at Oscars

She looked awful. That lighter hair color does her no favors.

And her singing voice was mediocre at best.

Someone yelled "Curtain!" and she said, "I gotta go. My dress is here."

Was she singing live? Can’t fathom how she has any breath control. Or even how she can breath period.

She should never wear anything but black or navy. If she’s not going to lose the 200 plus pounds she needs to to not be morbidly obese, she should wear dark colors so less is left to our imaginations/horror.

Once again I feel sorry for her. She is just too big and her life will be cut short. She doesn't seem to have anyone in her life to love her enough to say, c'mon, lose just 100 pounds. You don't have to go to size 2, she will never be, but her life would be much better for it. Where's Oprah?

I did see some desperate reviewer say she loved the red dress and red lipstick.

Lipstick on a pig, literally. Or someone the size of two or three pigs.

She moves like a bale of cotton swaddled in crimson.

The worst thing was the garish color and her hair, which looks like a horse's tail. A real pretty updo with hanging tendrils would have been nice.

Would no one loan her some jewelry?

How very woke of America to normalize people who should be in a Barnum and Bailey side show. Since America seems to wholeheartedly embrace the encouragement of bad habits, can the normalization of the excesses of cigarettes, alcohol and drugs be far behind?

They really tried to disguise her morbid obesity. She remained stationary, dressed in black, low lighting, limited full body shots.

Good work by the stage crew putting in those floor reinforcements. That would have been embarrassing if she had fallen through!

I do wonder about her seating at the event. As a former person of size, those auditorium style seats can be brutal and uncomfortable. Even more so than plane seats. Does she get a special seat at the event? There is no way she can fit in one of those seats.

Since she was performing she probably stayed in her dressing room until her time and then did the press room after.

If she had a glandular problem, we'd hear about it. She's been saying she's trying to lose weight since she joined that show. Not sure why some sort of band or bypass surgery isn't an option-- maybe she can't do the prep diet beforehand, which is pathetic but shows her level of food addiction.

When they first showed her before she sang I thought she was sitting down. Whoever dresses her is doing her no favors. She wore black during her performance but the cape is what made her look bigger m thx With the money she makes from the show there is no reason for her to be this overweight.

I don't understand why they keep putting this woman in these billowy dresses with wide shoulder to shoulder necklines, THE worst possible and least flattering choices for her.

Yes, Spanx works on bigger women, especially if you layer them. But they're rather pointless if you put a 400+ lb woman in a giant red duvet.
