Do they have an Arkansas Today column?
Why does the New York Times have a California Today section?

Population of California: 39,56 million
Population of Arkansas: 3,014 million

California was the fifth largest economy on the planet in 2018. Arkansas... has Walmart, French jets, and channel catfish, lol.

The polite response, OP, is that The New York Times probably recognizes that many of their readers are bi-coastal, regularly travelling between NY and CA, and so it makes sense to appeal to those readers by including a section on CA news/issues, etc.

Yeah, I'm sure there are tons of NYT readers in Arkansas. I mean you could even make an argument for TX, but AR???

Now this makes me curious if there's a Florida Today section, since apparently there are so many NYers who live down there?
