Hillary Clinton - say something nice about her

I assume she’s well liked here.

by Anonymousreply 113March 2, 2020 1:11 PM

If she were president, as she was elected to be, we would not be in the mess we are in today.

by Anonymousreply 1January 23, 2020 11:32 AM

Handsome Bill married her

by Anonymousreply 2January 23, 2020 11:34 AM

I heard her speak once at an event. She did much better than I expected. She can come across as quite likeable.

by Anonymousreply 3January 23, 2020 11:35 AM

She seems to be okay with the SNL parodies of herself.

by Anonymousreply 4January 23, 2020 11:38 AM

Another in-house thread. Have to keep the clicks up, huh?

by Anonymousreply 5January 23, 2020 11:43 AM

She endured decades of criticism (thinking about her early attempts at health care reform), an unfaithful husband, years of investigations, and a questionable defeat and still she holds her head up and maintains a good sense of humor.

by Anonymousreply 6January 23, 2020 11:45 AM

She’s approachable and warm. I’m a colorist and my boss did her hair at 1am and asked me come in if she needed to do her haircolor, (I didn’t)

It was a salon above Chanel on 57th in a building that couldn’t get security clearance during business hours. I don’t mention it anymore to prospective clients.

by Anonymousreply 7January 23, 2020 11:48 AM

Salon Salon r7?

by Anonymousreply 8January 25, 2020 4:48 PM

She's very intelligent and capable. Which is a lot more than can be said about a vast number of people in politics.

by Anonymousreply 9January 25, 2020 4:52 PM

She raised her daughter exceptionally well and she would raise her people well if she were the president.

by Anonymousreply 10January 25, 2020 4:59 PM

what can you say about a woman who gives the beloved family pet of more than a decade, away the second her daughter leaves for college.

by Anonymousreply 11January 25, 2020 5:02 PM

Nobody can think of a lie faster and tell it with such a straight face as she can.

by Anonymousreply 12January 25, 2020 5:02 PM

She’s really good at acting. She deserves an Oscar

by Anonymousreply 13January 25, 2020 5:04 PM

She’s more attractive than her daughter.

by Anonymousreply 14January 25, 2020 5:06 PM

She survived cankles.

by Anonymousreply 15January 25, 2020 5:07 PM

Her only reason for existence on this planet was to lose in 2016 so that Bernie Sanders would be elected in 2020.

by Anonymousreply 16January 25, 2020 5:09 PM

She's a cunt, but then literally speaking vaginas are the traditional human gateway into life and provide pleasure to billions of people.

by Anonymousreply 17January 25, 2020 5:10 PM

She's one degree better than Hitler.

by Anonymousreply 18January 25, 2020 5:11 PM

Captain Pantsuit did not have anything to do with Vince Foster's suicide.

by Anonymousreply 19January 25, 2020 5:13 PM

A lot of older gay men love and respect her.

by Anonymousreply 20January 25, 2020 5:15 PM

The old Frederic fekkai R7

by Anonymousreply 21January 25, 2020 5:21 PM

She's likable enough.

by Anonymousreply 22January 25, 2020 5:23 PM

I swallowed for her.

by Anonymousreply 23January 25, 2020 5:29 PM

She made me see an Oscar-winning thespian in a more realistic light.

by Anonymousreply 24January 25, 2020 6:44 PM

Her pussy stinks.

by Anonymousreply 25January 25, 2020 9:09 PM

She looks better after washing and shaving her underarms.

by Anonymousreply 26January 25, 2020 9:13 PM

She goes have great hair!

by Anonymousreply 27January 25, 2020 9:56 PM

She only scammed some of the time, maybe only 90%.

by Anonymousreply 28January 25, 2020 10:51 PM

She wears Kim Il Jong clothes better than he does

by Anonymousreply 29January 25, 2020 10:56 PM

She’s been unfairly maligned for decades. Even back when he was in office, the right-wing nut jobs hated her more than they did Bill. I’m sure they find an intelligent woman threatening.

by Anonymousreply 30January 25, 2020 11:27 PM

Hate her!

by Anonymousreply 31January 25, 2020 11:28 PM

She sure has some devoted fans on Datalounge, bless their hearts.

by Anonymousreply 32January 25, 2020 11:29 PM

She's smart and tough. Rethugs are terrified of her.

She was popular and well respected as Secretary of State.

She has been one of the most admired women in the world for several years running.

by Anonymousreply 33January 25, 2020 11:52 PM

She is a lesbian

by Anonymousreply 34January 26, 2020 12:03 AM

She treated Lens Dunham with kindness and respect.

by Anonymousreply 35January 26, 2020 12:06 AM

Her bowel movements are smarter than Trump.

by Anonymousreply 36January 26, 2020 12:11 AM

Her cankles aren’t as severe as commonly assumed.

by Anonymousreply 37January 26, 2020 12:18 AM

She didn't waste her life baking cookies.

by Anonymousreply 38January 26, 2020 12:40 AM

r11: Socks the Cat was given to Bill Clinton's secretary Betty Currie when the Clintons left the WH because she didn't get along with the dog Buddy. She apparently lived to be 19. This is according to Google.

by Anonymousreply 39January 26, 2020 12:56 AM

She’s an expert in the ways of the legal system. If I were a shady politician wanting to evade prosecution, I would want Hillary as my lawyer to give me advice.

by Anonymousreply 40January 26, 2020 1:05 AM

She's not as ugly as Eleanor Roosevelt. Although, I believe she could drink Betty Ford under the table.

by Anonymousreply 41January 26, 2020 1:34 AM

I hear she's killing fewer people nowadays.

by Anonymousreply 42January 26, 2020 1:37 AM

She is very smart and she is right about Tulsee, orvwhatever her name is.

by Anonymousreply 43January 26, 2020 1:40 AM

I'm don't trust politicians and feel sick listening to most of them speak. Even Bill Clinton is nauseating to listen to. But I can watch any interview with Hilary and hear every word without zoning out and believe she's sincere.

A good example is her recent interview with Howard Stern.

Said no one ever.

[quote]She is very smart and she is right about Tulsee, orvwhatever her name is.

I think it's Tulsa. She was named after the boy who the pretty daughter ran away with in Gypsy.

by Anonymousreply 46January 26, 2020 2:03 AM

R45 a verbatim quote is someone saying it

by Anonymousreply 47January 26, 2020 2:05 AM

A close friend worked for her pre-White House and then in the administration. She’s told me some truly wonderful stories, including how Hillary called her during her divorce to console her.

by Anonymousreply 48January 26, 2020 3:19 AM

I went to hear her speak early in Bill's first term, and then got to have lunch with her afterward. She was intelligent, charming, and very funny. I'm amazed at how she is portrayed in the media vs. what you see when you are with her in person. It's fashionable to hate on her, but the world would be a whole lot better right now if the popular vote counted.

by Anonymousreply 49January 26, 2020 3:24 AM

She had one of the most impressive resumes of any presidential candidate ever. She is intelligent. She isn't a Russian asset. Putin hates her.

by Anonymousreply 50January 26, 2020 3:27 AM

She has a shelf life.

by Anonymousreply 51January 26, 2020 3:34 AM

R21 Chanel No. 5.

by Anonymousreply 52January 26, 2020 7:27 AM

Some people just don't come across well ( or as they really are) on television.

Hillary is one. So, believe it or not, is Al Gore. He's really smart and engaging in person.

On t.v., all the charm of an ironing board.

by Anonymousreply 53January 26, 2020 12:34 PM

She was infinitely more qualified to be president than her rival.

by Anonymousreply 54January 26, 2020 12:39 PM

She lends herself well to parody.

by Anonymousreply 55January 26, 2020 12:42 PM

So was the drop Andrea Grocer made.

by Anonymousreply 56January 26, 2020 12:42 PM

Isn’t it amazing how the Dems always manage to nominate someone who is just too darned smart for us stupid rubes r53?

by Anonymousreply 57January 26, 2020 12:49 PM

I think being too smart can be off putting to some.

We've elected a game show host who constantly and obviously lies.to us. Unfortunately that's what sells these days.

And your snark r57 really has nothing to do with what I posted.

by Anonymousreply 58January 26, 2020 12:56 PM

1)She has a better sense of humor than Barbara Bush

2)She has better driving skills than Laura Bush

3) She is prettier than Michelle Obama

4) She can speak better English than Melania Trump

by Anonymousreply 59January 26, 2020 12:56 PM

Better hair than Mamie Eisenhower too.

Also

5) She is a better wife than Tipper Gore

by Anonymousreply 61January 26, 2020 1:17 PM

I'm trying.

by Anonymousreply 62January 26, 2020 3:05 PM

She's resourceful.

by Anonymousreply 63January 26, 2020 3:07 PM

She's...symmetrical.

by Anonymousreply 64January 26, 2020 3:17 PM

She replaced Condolezzie Rice at State.

That was nice.

by Anonymousreply 65January 26, 2020 3:18 PM

She looks like a sack of potatoes. (I like potatoes. )

by Anonymousreply 66January 26, 2020 3:41 PM

She also doesn't have that manly jaw AOC has. And that's weird because AOC is like 40 years younger than her. Imagine her at 60!

by Anonymousreply 67January 26, 2020 3:47 PM

I like Hillary and would vote for her again if I could, but her loss woke the democrats the fuck up. We took back several governorships and state legislatures and while I'm not happy that she isn't our president, some good came from her defeat.

by Anonymousreply 68January 26, 2020 3:53 PM

She was the most qualified presidential candidate we ever had, and America blew it.

by Anonymousreply 69January 26, 2020 3:53 PM

She’s capable.

by Anonymousreply 70January 26, 2020 3:56 PM

[quote]She was the most qualified presidential candidate we ever had, and America blew it.

America didn't blow it. Hillary blew it.

And no, she wasn't the most qualified. She could do nothing apart from her husband, who even told her the pathway to POTUS (because he had done it twice) and she refused to listen to him.

by Anonymousreply 71January 26, 2020 4:12 PM

She'll change her accent to accommodate yours.

Unlike Comrade Sanders, she isn't/doesn't....

loved by Russia, honeymoon in communist countries, economically illiterate, think breadlines are a good thing, lazy, hated by both parties in the senate, fall asleep during impeachment hearings, provide Whitney Houston-esque "do YOU know" responses to questions about her proposals, propose plans that will lead to 60 trillion in increased costs over 10 years, cheer "the yank must die" at protests, write rape fiction, act like the solution to everything is just "increase taxes on the rich", switch from attacking millionaires to billionaires after becoming a millionaire herself thinks that class always trumps race, promise to release medical records and then doesn't release them (no, a paragraph summary doesn't count)

When I've seen her in one on one conversations on TV, she has a nice laugh and seems like she has a nice sense of humor in general. She's stiff and strident sounding when she has to give prepared speeches in front of crowds and lacks charisma. Considering how much she's been targeted by the Rethugs constant lies about her since the early days of Bill's presidency, she has shown a remarkably thick skin. Tough lady. I wish her well.

The republicans even hated her for having the audacity--yes, the audacity--for having an actual career outside domestic life. And they've hated her ever since.

[quote]She's stiff and strident sounding when she has to give prepared speeches in front of crowds and lacks charisma.

I've always heard how warm and funny and engaging she is one-on-one, but I found her really frustrating as a candidate because she was so stiff and rehearsed. I don't think it was insincerity, but I do think her inability to just relax and be herself hurt her both times she ran.

by Anonymousreply 84January 26, 2020 9:51 PM

by Anonymousreply 100February 6, 2020 1:39 AM

In one of her earlier debates in 2008, Barack Obama made some depreciating remark toward her - "you're likable enough" or something'ish. She replied - very sincerely - "I appreciate that".

Found it.

She has a great laugh when she's relaxed and talking one-on-one. She was an attractive woman when Bill Clinton was elected and had a good figure then. She is extremely smart and competent and hard working. She probably would have been a good President (anybody would be better than the Occupant but that's not saying much).

by Anonymousreply 105February 6, 2020 9:30 PM

She did the best she could and not from lack of trying.

by Anonymousreply 106February 6, 2020 10:29 PM

R82 And I strongly suspect that a lot of journalists hated her for the same reason. Though these sensitive self described democrats will never admit it.

by Anonymousreply 107February 6, 2020 10:55 PM

We all knew someone like Bernie in college or our early 20s. They seem really smart and cool, initially. But they soon become exhausting. And as much as they bitch and moan--about everything, all the time!--they are incapable of getting anything done, ever.

Bernie types are very good at diagnosing problems, and completely inept at solving them. If they solved them, what would they have to bitch and moan about? Finding fault is their raison d'être.

Biden isn't exciting, but he'll be able to work with other people to find solutions for problems. Bernie will just keep screaming and alienate the people he needs to bring about change.
