What's sad to me about the cancellations and the tour in general is that when she announced an intimate theater tour, I expected there to be a focus on ballads/less dancing than previous tours. Instead this tour was just her normal tour in a smaller setting with even more new material than usual. I've seen every tour she's done for the past 15 years and this was by far the worst because of the focus on lackluster new material.

If she were willing to go out and say, "Hey, I can't do my normal dance heavy show because I'm hurt but I still want to play and so I'm going to do different songs than usual" and then gave a setlist filled with some of her great ballads like Live To Tell, Crazy For You, Take A Bow, Oh Father, Rain, Sooner or Later, I'll Remember, etc. sitting in a chair or standing at a mic, people would lose their minds and she would get a ton of positive press for being a trooper and going on with the show. Hell, if she switched to that, I'd probably be on a flight to Lisbon for the next show.
