by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 19, 2019 1:44 PM |
Until persuaded otherwise, I will continue to believe that sex is biology and gender is society. Men and women have different bodies and different health issues, regardless of gender or sexuality. Women’s health has been devalued because research focused on male bodies and health. For example, women often died of heart attacks because their symptoms are different and they did not get treatment.
The issue here seems to be hurt feelings, agendas, and orthodoxy.

TERF is just a weapon used by cis-women to hate on other cis-women for no other reason than that women love to find excuses to hate other women. It replenishes their electrolytes. There is no such division among men regarding FTMs.

The case against Forsteter wasn't about her simply saying something regarding human biology.
Anyone (like Rowling) who says it is, is pushing propaganda. They've been trying to claim this is simply a case of a woman being censored for being a feminist, when in reality her tweets were "trans women are men and they're mentally ill." Just like the people who post here.
[quote]But in a 26-page judgment released late on Wednesday, Tayler dismissed her claim. “I conclude from … the totality of the evidence, that [Forstater] is absolutist in her view of sex and it is a core component of her belief that she will refer to a person by the sex she considered appropriate even if it violates their dignity and/or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment. The approach is not worthy of respect in a democratic society.”

R29 and R26 it's crazy that some people here have complained about reddit not representing all trans people, or whoever else, because it's reddit, but there's double standards when it comes to women.
Reddit is anonymous and that's an open subreddit. You can post the right now.
That said; many "terfs" are lesbians and can't blame them for feeling salty that many LGB outlets have thrown them under the bus. Gay reporters and sites have basically told their sisters to shut up and that they're hysterical over being told to take dick. The alliance of LGB has become fragile by heterosexual men hiding under the same umbrella.

by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 19, 2019 2:31 PM |
TERF (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) was originally a slur for feminists who don't believe that trans women are actually women. It has become a universal slur for anyone who doesn't buy into extremist trans ideology.
It's also widely used in trans activists' battle cry "Punch a TERF". For a group that plays professional victims, often using dubious statistics, they are quick to become violent against biological women themselves.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 19, 2019 2:31 PM |
R37 baking a cake is not the same as being raped by omission
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 19, 2019 2:31 PM |
Your analogy is fuzzy, r37. A bakery provides a service and it can be argued that it should provide its service to anyone who demands it. Of course in the bedroom, that's not the case.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 19, 2019 2:34 PM |
Sigh.
Gay panic is indefensible. If you choose to you to a hooker you don't get to complain, get a refund, or get to kill them.
No rape happens. Consent has already happened.
Straight men would benefit from broadening their horizons.

Sex workers provide a service.

"TERF" supposedly stands for "trans exclusionary radical feminists", but it's hurled at any woman who dares to even ask questions. It's not trans exclusion, it's male exclusion, as it's always been. Don't think men should play women's sports? Congrats: You're a Terf. I've kept my eye on this issue for a couple years and it's only became worse with time.
Don't believe it's become that bad, or that it's "bad apples", just wait for this thread to quickly be bombarded with f/f, and multiple frantic comments completely downplaying the trans movement. I give it maybe another 30 mins.
It's not even about trans individuals being a problem, but the lobby movement itself. It rapidly went from "we just want to pee" to silencing anyone who questions men being in sports, women's prisons, and so on.

R46 that doesn't make sense. "Terfs" are not concerned with gay men, and they definitely don't punch down. Unless you think feminists and lesbians are out to get you.
Read pink news and you'll see how they regard "uppity" women, especially lesbians. It's backstabbing from their own community.

Radical feminism encompasses a very large ideology. It's not just anti-trans, it's also anti-everything including anti-gay-men.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 19, 2019 2:44 PM |
Gay men should care very much at this point, when legal institutions are claiming biological sex is not "absolute", because you know what comes next? Sexual orientation, which is tied directly to biological sex. If sex is not absolute, sexuality can be argued as not absolute.
All that work to gain rights regarding SAME SEX relationships, just to be told sex is not an absolute.
Sounds familiar doesn't it?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 19, 2019 2:45 PM |
Yeah, sure. Here comes the comments downplaying, let's wait for the thread to be shut down.
Meanwhile those "terfs" that are supposedly homophobic and anti-gay will keep fighting, losing their jobs, and so on, to keep everything related to biological sex protected -- including sexual orientation.

by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 19, 2019 2:51 PM |
I feel the need to state this: Gay men are the primary victims of sexism. We get to define what is and isn't sexist. We can argue among ourselves but only if we accept this fact and put ourselves as a group first.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 19, 2019 2:53 PM |
R55, according to current trans ideology, there is no such thing as an effeminate gay man. You are a trans woman, otherwise you would not be feminine.
Gender critical feminists fight for the recognition that men can be as feminine as they want, and women can be as masculine as they want, without switching gender. (Sex is not changeable, because reality.)
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 19, 2019 2:55 PM |
R55 are you serious with this comment? Why are you defending innate femininity and masculinity? That's some regressive shit. How about people have different personalities, hobbies, interests, and so on, that shouldn't even be labeled as feminine or masculine. That's pretty limiting to both sexes, regardless of sexuality.
If your biggest concern is to uphold oppressive beliefs about innate gender, it will continue to hurt both gay men and women. The sex you are born shouldn't have gendered expectations attached. They are superficial and determined by society to be labeled that way, not by nature. It shouldn't be "effeminate" to like certain things in the first place.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | December 19, 2019 2:56 PM |
[quote] As an effeminate gay man I believe gender is genetic.
Gender can't be genetic, but obviously carries genetic components. Most effeminate men do have less testosterone, which manifests into their high pitch voice, their wide hips and many other typically female features. As for mannerism, they just tend to copycat women for whatever reason, all socially constructed (that is actually socially built). Some find allies in women and copy them, others see themselves in them and a minority of effeminate men don't copy women at all.
All the rest is fantasy of identity politics and self-centered men. Isn't it funny how the trans movement was started by males pretending to be women and not the other way around?
[quote]I feel the need to state this: Gay men are the primary victims of sexism.
No we're not. Stop this bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | December 19, 2019 2:56 PM |
I support Forstater's right to express her views also. Some of you bitches get mad and object to free speech when you don't like the opinion, but she is correct. It's impossible to change one's gender. A female born XX cannot change that and a male born XY cannot change that. By definition, that's what determines one's gender. In the USA, if an adult wants to pretend to be the opposite gender, that's his or her legal right. I don't know UK law.

by Anonymous | reply 66 | December 19, 2019 3:00 PM |
It's very concerning that "born this way" and other views that won LGB rights are being dismantled legally. This is my last comment, because I find it to be hopeless arguing here, but sex is absolute. The judge is wrong. This isn't even about "terfs" but the right to recognize biological sex. Once biological sex is replaced with "gender" stereotypes, the next argument is that sexual orientation is not an absolute. This is dangerous thinking.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | December 19, 2019 3:00 PM |
For me, as an effeminate gay man, I feel my effeminacy is a more important part of my sexuality than my actual having sex with men.

Sexual orientation and gender dysphoria are entirely unrelated, but I see the points you are making. Nobody can turn gay. R65 since I missed this while typing, this will be my last comment, because I think you're misguided about what is being said. Claiming it's "innate" is bad for both sexes. It's not that people aren't born with certain traits, but that it's labeled that way to begin with. It doesn't take into account that there's masculine lesbians, masculine gays, straight tomboys, straight effeminate men (you get ther point).
Nothing should be assigned feminine or masculine, according to sex. The very thing you're arguing to uphold, are tools of oppression, used to force people into stereotypes by their sex and sexuality.
Hopefully these ideas eventually die off.

[quote] Society doesn't impose effeminacy on gay boys -- the opposite actually Yet gay boys are effeminate.
Speak for yourself. I wasn't an effeminate gay boy and neither were most of my friends or ex boyfriends. I'd go as far as to state that the majority of gay men aren't effeminate at all and we just blend in. I've never been victim of homophobia, which is clearly geared toward effeminate men.
I did everything my brothers did and was raised by progressive parents (my mother is openly bisexual). Nothing was imposed on me. This idea that masculinity is hetero is homophobic.
As for trans, I do believe after everything I read that it only happens when there's dysphoria involved as the brain can't recognize its body. To me that's very clear. A relative of mine is a PHD neuroscientist and she has showed me that there is a male and female brain indeed, though their differences are little, they're still different.
It's also unnerving to notice how queer and gender politics allow trans people to fully embrace masculinity and femininity with all it's typical performances, like MTF dressing like women, etc FTM taking testosterone, but god forbid men, gay or straight are proud of their masculinity, than hell breaks loose.

No it's not and you're not understanding the complexity of both genetic influence and socially constructed performances. There is a genetic component, as I stated, to your voice, your probable wide hips (which makes you walk more like women than men) and other factors like facial features, all influenced by levels of testosterone. That is genetic, you can't change that. Just look at most effeminate men and you'll see a biological pattern.
Then there's learned behavior, we're designed in our DNA to adapt to groups and copy their behaviors. Even though you probably didn't notice that, there's great chance you copy some of your female friends mannerisms because you blended in their social group or had them as allies. We do this all the time even among friends of the same sex, don't be daft.
We're byproducts of both genetics and social behavior. We've known this for over 50 years.
by Anonymous | reply 102 | December 19, 2019 3:42 PM |
Nope, and you don't get to comment. Since we -- stereotypical gay men -- actually spend our lives trying to suppress those mannerisms not copying them.

Get out of your bubble Shirley. You haven't. You still have male privilege no matter how effeminate you are. Are you told to smile to everyone regardless of your mood? Are you told no to swear? Are you told not to take off your shirt on a hot day because your boobs are offensive? Did you grow up ditching males trying to jerk off to you everywhere, trying to pat your butt or suggesting all sorts of sexual innuendo ever since you were five (well that one maybe some very effeminate gay boys do suffer some of it)? The list is too big to write.

[quote] we -- stereotypical gay men -- actually spend our lives trying to suppress those mannerisms not copying them.
Are you familiar with psychology? In case you aren't, it's a science dedicated to studying how most humans spend most of their lives trying to suppress things they can't because we're a complex byproduct of genetics and social constructs. Just because you think you didn't copy mannerisms that doesn't mean you didn't, it's well mapped that we do this instinctively to blend in and survive, same goes for gossip which is an evolutionary tool mapped on our DNA to help us deal with threats.
Therapists are dealing with humans everyday trying to understand the behaviors they have because it conflicts with what they think they should have been doing.
You could fight the mannerisms and hate them all you want, as you should since they caused you pain, but you just built your behavior on copying them because it brought you some benefits at some points in your life. If you also had genetic components, in this case, low testosterone and many traits that would make you identify with women more than men, you did it instinctively. Sorry to break it to you, but we have less control over ourselves than we think we do. That's why there's so many people in therapy.

JK Rowling has proven for decades that she is a strong supporter of people's rights and dignity to live their lives.
JK Rowling has donated tens of millions of dollars to worthwhile causes, spoken out against ugly right wing talking points, and demonstrated an openminded approach to dealing with people.
The people SCREAMING "TERF" have done literally none of those things, merely howled about what they want, their rights, and what they are entitled to have, be, do, and take.
I think I'll side with Rowling for the time being. Thanks.

Gay men are some of the most evil, shallow, vitriolic wenches I've ever known. Does that mean I'm a homophobe? Of course not. Has nothing to do with sexual orientation. Has to do with personal choice because I've met many quality gay men who chose to be ethical, quality men, not catty, bitchy, two-faced queens. Bitches do it because they hate themselves and/or they like it and like putting down others.

Webmaster! Where is the moderation on this board?
I think it's really getting out of control the kind of homophobic rhetoric, amounting to incitement to violence, that gay men are facing on threads like this.
by Anonymous | reply 131 | December 19, 2019 4:55 PM |
So this Jezebel thread is predictably hateful towards JKR, but there are a few comments defending her so far:
[quote] JK Rowling has the guts to point out that the Empress has no clothes, and that she’s really the Emperor. Are we really going to keep pretending it’s okay that Hannah Mouncey and Rachel McKinnon are competing against women in sports? Are we really going to keep pretending it’s okay that a rape crisis centrein Vancouver had a dead rat nailed to its door with the message “death to TERFs”?
[quote] But then, this is Jezebel, the website that’s so virulently homophobic that it recently featured a pro-cotton ceiling discussion thread. The “cotton” refers to lesbians’ underwear, and apparently they are bigots for refusing to let trans “women” pass that barrier. If you can’t see the incel logic, rape culture and homophobia inherent in the idea that lesbians just need to “open their minds” to penises, you’re beyond help.
Another comment:
[quote] Yes, its high time women stop allowing themselves to be gaslighted by men. Men who are so narcisistic they think that they can change what it means to be a woman. Men who are so mysogynistic they think lipstick has something to do with being female. Trans women are MEN.
Another:
[quote] I don’t see how its transphobic to point out that someone who lived 99% of their public life as a man doesn’t really understand the challenges women face.

It's like one big show to see who can outrage more. And of course they aren't addressing the actual content of the case and verdict but instead making hyperbolic pronouncements and strawmen claims that no one actually said.

R144, they have basic human rights, just like everyone else in the West. Don't buy into their narrative that denying them some of their demands means denying their human rights. When their demands (trans rights) come into conflict with other objects of legal protection (women's rights based on sex), there has to be a discussion, not just shouting down of the opposition. They don't care about the administrative chaos that they create by demanding their moon-genderedness to be recognized. They don't care that they basically define homosexuality out of existence.

R135, there's no such thing as gender reassignment surgery or a sex change operation. There's genital modification surgery, breast implants, adding a false penis and testicles, etc. Those are cosmetic procedures. No surgeon can give a man a uterus, tubes and ovaries and ability to carry and birth a baby or a woman testes and ability to produce sperm and testosterone.

The issue is that MTF trans activists have pushed "trans human rights" to the exclusion of all else - mostly, womens' human rights, and other humans as well. I'm not incredibly surprised considering the push came from the Millennial generation who expect the entire world to change around themselves.
r151 her case was based on the fact that it was called "sex reassignment surgery" on Wikipedia, not that it's actual science. The ridiculous thing was the person saying it like it meant something. They pick and choose scientific words and claim they mean things they don't.

As we continue to debate all things trans let us remind ourselves about the $$$ involved in the promotion of the trans agenda.
This is the only article I've found that gives extensive detailed information. Would love to read some others if anyone else has a link.
All this is on purpose and part of that purpose is to delay or kill bio women getting into positions of power and changing the power balance which has been tilted in men's favor for centuries. As long as the majority of trans women continue to adhere to and follow traditional roles for women and submit to traditional power placement of men, the wealthy white men who fund the trans movement will be getting the result they want.

Found these interesting facts and figures in an article.
Below we provide a summary of statistics drawn from an article by Brown University researcher Anne Fausto-Sterling.2 The basis for that article was an extensive review of the medical literature from 1955 to 1998 aimed at producing numeric estimates for the frequency of sex variations. Note that the frequency of some of these conditions, such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia, differs for different populations. These statistics are approximations.
Not XX and not XY one in 1,666 births
Klinefelter (XXY) one in 1,000 births
Androgen insensitivity syndrome one in 13,000 births
Partial androgen insensitivity syndrome one in 130,000 births
Classical congenital adrenal hyperplasia one in 13,000 births
Late onset adrenal hyperplasia one in 66 individuals
Vaginal agenesis one in 6,000 births
Ovotestes one in 83,000 births
Idiopathic (no discernable medical cause) one in 110,000 births
Iatrogenic (caused by medical treatment, for instance progestin administered to pregnant mother) no estimate
5 alpha reductase deficiency no estimate
Mixed gonadal dysgenesis no estimate
Complete gonadal dysgenesis one in 150,000 births
Hypospadias (urethral opening in perineum or along penile shaft) one in 2,000 births
Hypospadias (urethral opening between corona and tip of glans penis) one in 770 births
Total number of people whose bodies differ from standard male or female one in 100 births
Total number of people receiving surgery to “normalize” genital appearance one or two in 1,000 births

[quote] LOL! Never change, Vox
Vox Media to lay off hundreds of freelance workers ahead of California labor law it had championed
Vox Media is cutting hundreds of freelance jobs ahead of California legislation it previously had championed as a "historic" law expanding worker benefits.
This past September, Vox reported on Assembly Bill 5 (AB 5), which guarantees freelancers and independent contractors in California "basic labor protections" that they didn't have before. The site called it not only a "progressive victory" but also a "historic moment for the U.S. labor movement."
"By making it hard for employers to misclassify employees as independent contractors, potentially millions of California workers who’ve been kept off payrolls will get basic labor rights for the first time, like overtime pay and unemployment benefits," the Vox report read. "This includes janitors, construction workers, security guards, and hotel housekeepers — and yes, this group also includes Uber and Lyft drivers."
AB 5 also allows such workers to join labor unions.
On Monday, SB Nation, the sports division of Vox Media, announced it's preemptively laying off workers ahead of the implementation of AB 5 in the coming months.
"In 2019, SB Nation contractors who live in California or contribute to California’s team sites did some truly amazing work... Together, over 200 people on California sites wrote thousands of blog posts in 2019 – pieces so diverse in their conception that it’s impossible to describe them en masse except to say, they were written for a community of fellow fans," SB Nation Executive Director John Ness wrote in a lengthy piece. "In 2020, we will move California's team blogs from our established system with hundreds of contractors to a new one run by a team of new SB Nation employees. In the early weeks and months of 2020, we will end our contracts with most contractors at California brands."
He continued, "This shift is part of a business and staffing strategy that we have been exploring over the past two years, but one that is also necessary in light of California's new independent contractor law, which goes into effect January 1, 2020. That new law makes it impossible for us to continue with our current California team site structure because it restricts contractors from producing more than 35 written content 'submissions' per year."

That all of this is being done in the name of Stonewall is horrible. Gays and lesbians are being erased and gnc kids likely to grow up to LGB are being sterilized and mutilated.
All those who giggled at MichFest jokes, this could not be more serious. The very basis for legal protections for LG are being eliminated in western countries under a mantel of progress and tolerance for US.
This is not a drill I call upon UK academic philosophers and other academics to publicly demonstrate their disciplinary values. Kathleen Stock
Follow Dec 18 · 3 min read
I am a professor of philosophy, employed at a British university in a Philosophy Department. Today, an UK employment tribunal judge ruled that the belief that biological sex is immutable, and that it is impossible to change one’s sex, is “incompatible with human dignity and fundamental rights of others”.
He writes: “I do not accept the Claimant’s contention that the Gender Recognition Act produces a mere legal fiction. It provides a right, based on the assessment of the various interrelated convention rights, for a person to transition, in certain circumstances, and thereafter to be treated for all purposes as the being of the sex to which they have transitioned.” Please note: all purposes. The judge has therefore apparently ruled that there are no contexts whatsoever in which it may be permissibly denied that a person with a gender recognition certificate is the sex they say they are. He also says, in his ruling, that there is “significant scientific evidence” that one’s biological sex can be changed — erroneously citing intersex people as of relevance to the facts of social transition.
This judge has concluded that nothing illegal happened when Maya Forstater lost employment at the Centre for Global Development for stating these beliefs. The precedent is now set, and a message sent to UK employees: don’t express the view that people can’t change sex. Your job will not be protected if you do.
As I say, I am a professor of philosophy and I share Maya’s belief. I think it is perfectly true. My grounds are summarised in this short article. I have also written about why this belief qualifies as a philosophical belief.
Over the past year and a half, I have encountered many academics and public figures who have scornfully dismissed my and others’ claims that women, in particular, are losing their legal capacity to discuss what they see as their distinctive nature and interests, in certain important political contexts. This is happening because of well-funded lobbying groups like Stonewall, and their incredible reach on institutions and employers (including Universities). Stonewall explicitly advise, through their training programmes and propaganda — disseminated via their near-ubiquitous Diversity Champions Scheme and their Top 100 Employers Index — that “transwoman are women” for all purposes, just as the employment tribunal judge has just stated. Stonewall explicitly yet tendentiously interpret the Equality Act as saying that organisations should allow transwomen into every single space where women are present, and into every single resource already specially devoted to women. And Stonewall explicitly advise that the pathway to becoming a transwoman — and so too, according to Stonewall, the pathway to becoming a woman, because “transwomen are women” — should not be gatekept by any medical professionals whatsoever, but should be achieved through self-identification and an adminstrative procedure.
by Anonymous | reply 229 | December 20, 2019 2:47 AM |
This is not a drill cont.
Yet, philosophers and other academics continue to lecture me: “no-one is talking about sex — everyone knows sex and gender are distinct!”. Well, this employment tribunal judge apparently doesn’t know it. In fact, despite the brave efforts of people like Maya, there is huge public confusion about the relation between sex and gender in the UK, largely due to Stonewall’s lobbying, training, and propaganda. Women are losing not just their legal and social protections, but we are approaching a situation where women (and men) cannot even legally speak about this loss.
I therefore call upon the British Philosophical Association, all learned Philosophical societies in the UK, and all British academic philosophers working in UK departments, to stand up and say out loud — or better, write it down where members of the public can read it: people should be legally permitted to believe that biological sex is immutable and cannot be changed, without fear of losing their jobs. You are philosophers. This is your moment. If not now, then when?

R26, R46, Are absolutely right.
R50, R139,
I've seen how they've been harassing gay men for several months now and starting dogpiles.
Whenever there's a story on gay surrogacy they're always there complaining "this is female erasure/exploitation/ what-a-bout the mother!" shit. Never hear a peep out of them when it's heterosexuals using surrogacy, and they are the majority surrogacy users. And they also have an issue with gay men adopting, but no problem with het adoption. You can't tell me that's not homophobia.
Whenever there's a story about gay men being sexually harassed by FTMs they seem to take some sort of glee out of it, "now you know how we feel" abusive crap they do, or downplay it entirely and say "well you don't have it as bad as us". This is the kind of disgusting things I've seen them say and you're going to tell me I'm just being a divisive troll??
And then there's the whole drag queen library/storytime issue. Their arguments and concern for the safety of children seemed reasonable at first, grown men in drag really shouldn't be stripping off in front of kids, but then you'll see their true intentions emerge; they've gone after several drag queens (ones that had absolutely no children involved in their acts) claiming it to be "woman face" and "misogyny" and linking it to pedophilia, like just recently, during Halloween there was a video of drag queen (Blair Back) who they claimed performed a "mock abortion" at one of his gigs, they started a dogpiled on him and whipped up hysteria amongst homophobic conservatives who were using derogatory gay slurs, calling him mentally ill, pedophile, "this is why we kill and lock them up" and claiming this to be an act of leftist politics. Are you going to tell me that's not homophobia? I looked into it myself and that drag performance had absolutely nothing to do with kids, trans/women's rights, abortion or politics. The drag queen stated it was inspired by some horror flicks he liked, that's all. But this didn't stop the gc/terfs from dregding up homophobic outrage. They're are just using the same homophobic rhetoric Radfems used back in the 70s against gay men. If you were genuinely concerned for children being exposed to sexualisation then where is your same level of criticism for Pantomime? (which is rife which sexual innuendos and adult humour) Or Kids Cosplay? Or Theatre/Movies, the Dramatic Arts...etc, Never saw any of you picket Mrs. Doubtfire... And what about the movies that depict women in the way the Blair Back performance was inspired by? Why aren't you outraged at the movie makers who illustrate women in this way, instead you decide to go after some random drag queen on Halloween?... Or it it only gay men who do drag you have a problem with?
… take off the mask because you're not fooling anyone, a lot of you are homophobes and no better than the TRAs you criticize.

Here’s what Twitter thinks (because it is a hive mind that defaults to thick as pig crap):
1. That not having your contract renewed can’t be a dismissal under UK employment law (incorrect. It might be, or might not be and depends on the circumstances). 2. That Maya Forstater was rude to actual real trans colleagues (incorrect. She had no trans colleagues, on the evidence). 3. That Maya Forstater declined to use elected pronouns (incorrect. She in fact said she would use them, but she declined to agree that this meant she agreed material reality had changed). 4. That Maya Forstater asked for her particular views to be validated. Incorrect. She asked not to be fired for holding the view that a man cannot become a woman. The case was about her livelihood.
Twitter is an abject cesspit of stupidity. JK Rowling is, unsurprisingly, smarter than than the average human being on there.

What the actual fuck? Femicide and female infanticide are well-accepted facts, absolutely nothing to do with gay men in any way. It’s a massive stretch to claim people pointing out the existence of misogynistic violence are a danger to gay men.
TERFs are not anti-gay, it’s the TRA who are a danger to gay men. The TRA movement states that “genital attraction” or any form of mono sexuality is inherently transphobic. Lesbians are told they have to fuck and suck penises or they are TERF scum who should be killed. That’s exactly the same as saying gay men should lick out transmen’s vaginas - how would you feel about that?
The only reason gay men are not being abused and oppressed for refusing to lick pussy is because TRAs are not women and don’t give a shit about anyone with a vagina, it’s all about phallocentric gynophobia. Basically people with penises oppressing people vaginas. You know, like the entire history of human oppression. In reality anyone with and grasp of logic would realise the fact the TRA thinks transwomen are women and ciswomen have to accommodate them, but cismen don’t have to accommodate transmen, is so obviously a massive inherent contradiction and so inherently hypocritical as to prove the real agenda: hatred of women and a sense of entitlement to women’s bodies.
TRA are very very homophobic. They are the real enemy. Not lesbians refusing to suck dick.

TRA are very very homophobic. They are the real enemy. Not lesbians refusing to suck dick.

The fact that cismen can abuse or even murder transwomen without a single peep from the woke crowd, but ciswomen aren’t allowed an opinion without facing violent abuse and oppression, says everything.
Statistically the vast majority of actual transphobia (meaning verbal abuse, slurs, physical abuse) comes from cismen yet the term “TERF” is explicitly anti-woman and basically downplays or seeks to recite the existence of the majority of actual transphobia.
Ask yourself, if TRAs actually care about transphobia, why do they totally ignore or actively excuse any and all transphobia (including actual murder) when the culprit is a cisman?

R263 What accusation of genocide? Are you saying that females aren't being murdered at birth in some places in the world?
And no one is saying those murders are the fault of gay men. Or even men. Women have left babies on the side of hills because females hold no value in that society.
The point being made is that those children have suffered far worse sexism than the poster claiming to be the worlds no 1 victim.
If you can't see that, then your moral compass is way out of whack.

Julie Bindel released an article about it (she apologized on Twitter for writing for the Daily Mail, but The Guardian refuses to publish posts disagreeing with trans agendas):
JK Rowling has landed in hot water, and it’s nothing to do with a Harry Potter plot. When the world-famous author, who has more than 14million Twitter followers, dared to tweet her support for Maya Forstater, a hitherto anonymous tax expert, she found herself scalded in seconds.
As I know all too well, the temperature on trans issues has a habit of reaching boiling point almost immediately, and is one in which very few people are brave enough to dip their toe.
I say brave because what JK has now discovered is that no amount of money or fame can protect you from the vitriol that comes with this debate.
She was immediately labelled a TERF (a slur, meaning a trans exclusionary radical feminist) and worse.
Welcome to my world. I was one of the very first feminists to speak out against extreme transgender ideology, in an opinion piece back in 2004.
It was written in response to a story in Canada, where a male to female transsexual had demanded to be trained as a rape crisis counsellor at a charity.
When this person was told, respectfully, that would not be appropriate, because the women seeking support after sexual assault would feel uncomfortable being counselled by a biological male, the charity was forced to endure a lengthy legal battle – which they eventually won. I wonder if they’d be so fortunate today.
I faced horrendous abuse from trans activists. I had death and rape threats. I was harassed and hounded in public, labelled a Nazi, a bigot, and accused of causing the suicide of young transgender people.
The ‘trans Taliban’, as I came to call them, would try to get events shut down at which I had been invited to speak about topics such as rape, child abuse or trafficking of women.
by Anonymous | reply 283 | December 20, 2019 9:10 AM |
Angry crowds would turn up, waving their placards, demanding that I be thrown out because I, like Maya, believe that being born male or female is what makes someone a man or a woman.
It was hell and until five or six years ago, in the UK at least, I was almost completely alone. Whilst I would receive countless private messages from people telling me ‘I agree with you completely, but I dare not speak out because of what would happen to me’, I had to weather the storm in isolation. I began to get angry at those people that would tell me they were too scared to speak out, because they were perfectly happy for me to do it on their behalf.
I knew that what was behind the extreme transgender ideology was pure sexism and misogyny. So-called progressive men had been waiting a long time to be able to hurl insults at feminists such as myself and still be seen as on ‘the right side of history’.
But gradually, brave women such as Maya Forstater began to see that, despite the capitulation from the majority of liberals, this issue was only going to get worse.
It culminated in the male-bodied transsexual prisoner Karen White, being transferred to a female jail, where fellow prisoners were sexually assaulted. Feminists began to realise that if we did not join forces and resist this ideology, women would lose every single sex right we had fought for. Our refuges, changing rooms, hospital wards, and other single-sex services would be lost, because biological men only had to claim to be women for them to be able to use them.
We had to join forces to protect the female gender, which was seriously under threat.
What many people don’t appreciate is that one of the deeply tragic consequences of such widespread fear and capitulation to the extreme transgender ideology is that it has left those trans people who simply wish to live their lives, out in the cold.
The bullies do not speak for the majority of transgender people. They do not want to be held up as human shields by extremists. Of course they should be protected from prejudice, bullying and harm, but they don’t want to be tarred with the same dictatorial, rabble-rousing brush.
by Anonymous | reply 284 | December 20, 2019 9:10 AM |
But this is what we will come to if we do not speak out against outrageous decisions such as the Maya Forstater case. Women should have the right to voice their opinions without fear of losing their jobs, their livelihood, or their sanity. That is what we fought for, as women, and what we must continue to fight for.

The Forstater ruling isn't what you claim it is, though. She was not fired, she merely did not have her contract renewed after making tweets that violated the company's code of conduct.
Forstater tried to claim protected status for her beliefs via the 2010 Equality Act. She very clearly did not fall under the Act; thus, the ruling will not likely be overturned.
If she had won, it would mean people could sue if a company didn't renew their contract after seeing them tweet "lol faggots should all get AIDS," which I know doesn't bother most of the anti-trans straight ladies on here but is something I like to think the actual gays on Datalounge would have a concern about.
You can whine that "trans aren't us" all you want but in this case, regarding protected status via the UK's 2010 Equality Act, if what she tweeted was protected speech then homophobia would be protected, too.
Them's the breaks, kids. Blather with your fake legal opinions all you want, but that's how the cookie crumbles in this instance.

If you say anything it's that all straight men are evil murderers when they kill "cis" women, and that "cis" women are murdered constantly and no one cares, but when they kill trans women, well, they were goaded into it because trans women all hide that they are trans and trick these poor straighties into murder, which is basically justified.

But the most homophobic are also often the most transphobic. It's usually relatively pro-gay liberal 'lib-fem' women transing kids. I don't think there are any Trump voters who are so ashamed of telling people they have a gay son yet now love that their little Joey is actually a Joanne.

The tactics being used are very sophisticated. Borrowing these words, not mine...
I started reading Christopher Wylie's "MindFuck," his book about Cambridge Analytica and how a billionaire weaponized data analysis against democracy. I didn't expect to learn the specific methods of how girls and boys are convinced to hate their own bodies and everyone who disagrees with them.
Wylie defines "Perspecticide" as the active deconstruction and manipulation of popular perception.
Let's say the perspective is "sex is a material reality," or "lesbians are female homosexuals."
Wylie's context is explaining how ISIS recruits, or how law enforcement spreads dissent in criminal cartels:
“The most effective form of perspecticide is one that first mutates the concept of self. In this light, the manipulator attempts to “steal” the concept of self from his target, replacing it with his own. This usually starts with attempting to smother the opponent’s narratives and then dominating the informational environment around the target. Often this involves gradually breaking down what are called psychological resilience factors over several months. Programs are designed to create unrealistic perceptions in the targets that result in confusion and damage self-efficacy. Targets are encouraged to begin catastrophizing about minor or imagined events, and counternarratives attempt to remove meaning, creating an impression of confusing or senseless events. Counternarratives also attempt to foster distrust in order to mitigate communication with others who might hamper the target’s evolution. It is much harder to stay loyal to an existing hierarchy or group when you begin to think that you are being used in some unfair way, or when events seem senseless or purposeless. You become less willing to accept setbacks, take risks, or comply with commands.”
You can probably imagine when I read that how it exactly describes what has happened to the "LGBT movement." You can see how feminism's concept of a woman's self has been replaced with "his own."
Except for an article in New York Mag, his book has received very little attention. I think it would help us understand what happened to our families and our communities.

Perstpecticide example: LGB orgs replaced the concept of dedication to the well being of LGB with T, despite the T aggressively undermining the legal basis for LGB and attempting to erase a generation of LGB kids. Handy concept to be aware of.
I wanna know who/what is behind the extremely sophisticated tech used in hypno sissy porn? Seems to be a heavy recruiting too of sudden onset AGP in men who never had it before. From another thread:
[quote]I used to belong to a LGBTQ organization that was over 99% male. The two or three lesbians there (old boomers) hated the male dominance but also hated the male comradary. Although efforts were made to include them they felt they were never entirely part of the group. This is probably right as the easy going friendship and perhaps sexual energy among the men never extended to them. They were jealous essentially. So they proceeded to get into positions of power, personally attack many men, driving them out and reducing the membership. They worked to change many things about the group. Recently I heard the big lesbian (big in every way) argue the group should stop being LGBTQ focused and become "inclusive of all progressives." This would basically destroy the group but she probably thinks if it becomes that she'd have a chance of fitting in with the women who are supposed to show up. But there are already plenty of progressive groups out there for straights. They aren't going to come over to this one. Basically she and the other few lesbians are killing the organization cause they don't feel completely welcome. Again it's jealousy in this case, and resentment.

by Anonymous | reply 358 | December 20, 2019 1:22 PM |
Exactly, R354: the majority of people pushing this are not gay, but gays are getting caught in the crossfire because of years of brainwashing that anything other than male + female is wrong. Many is the time I hear about one of these so-called tr*ns kids coming from families with religious backgrounds, and I have even heard these quacks use the phrase "God made a mistake" to try and sell this crap to them.
This is a heterosexual-backed war on gay people's existence. Being gay means you like sex partners with the same body parts as you. That is a threat to the established order built around excluding that, so they had to invent something to dilute it.

In 2019 the ACLU is focusing on compelling the managers of public restrooms to place tampons in the mens rooms.
Perspecticide: The ACLU defended free speech, even if it was repugnant, say that of Nazis. Then their perspective was shifted to wasting money on hygiene items being provided to those who have no need of them. At a time when free speech in Western countries is under unprecedeted attack, the issue is free tampons for those with no uterus?

Perspecticide: Amnesty International used to center on human rights issues - political prisoners, refugees and the like. Now they center on sex inclusive toilets despite the horrific possibilities of rape and lost education for women and girls. Even in the west, girls are skipping school on days they have their period when their school has converted to having only restrooms for boys and restrooms for anyone. Funny how it is always the women who give up better safety odds, to the benefit of who?
Perspecticide: Western news organizations used to appear to report widely on issues. Now they primarily act as propoganda organs on this issue as though information is a threat, not a value, along with free speech. To the benefit of who?
by Anonymous | reply 374 | December 20, 2019 1:53 PM |
From link at R374:
In refugee camps across the globe, there is an increased demand for adult diapers. Is this because of some fetish? No. It’s because the females in these camps know that to walk to the bathroom alone at night puts them at a dramatically increased risk of rape, and they would rather sit for hours in their own excrement than risk being violated.
Amnesty International has called sex-exclusive toilets a human rights issue and the difference between whether many girls will be able to receive an education. These scenarios highlight a bleak reality that everyone already knows: Since the dawn of time, women and girls have been oppressed on the basis of our sex, not our perceived sense of gender or our affinity for pink.

Corporacide: Walt Disney Productions was a magical place where dreams came true, Princesses found true love and triumphed against wicked witches, animals talked, puppets became real boys, elephants flew, beds became efficient forms of transportation, and black people sang about zip-a-dee-doo-dah and rabbits and foxes trying to eat each other. It was a place where the medium of animation reached its technical and artistic zenith, where the word "theme park" entered the American lexicon, and where people worked for decades and decades out of loyalty and respect. Now it's a bloated relic coasting on memories, staffed by minimum wage workers living out of their cars, and the last remaining cultural influence of Baby Boomers even though most of Walt's best work was before the Boomers were even born! Their current corporate strategy is to ruthlessly exploit the past through remake after remake and buy out everyone who stole their thunder after Walt died, while even 35 years after losing a lawsuit over kicking two men out of the park for dancing together, they still seem to have to be dragged kicking and screaming into accepting gays as equals while gladly being complicit in the erasure of gay youth. They now own ABC and the same people pushing the chemicals that make this happen are the same people who buy ad time on that and other networks.

As a gay man, I have more respect for lesbians who reject femininity without rejecting being female than I do for effeminate men whether or not they transition into a pale simulation of the opposite sex. For a woman to reject femininity requires her to merely remove that which was placed there artificially, and usually by men. For a man to embrace it means to embrace an artifice created by other humans for the express purpose of sexual stimulation.

I consider myself socially liberal but I cannot align myself with the illiberal mentality being espoused by the Left today. The Far Left now consist of intolerant people who want to ban free speech and take away rights of biological women under the guise of equality. They are under the false notion that surgically altering one’s genitalia and secondary sex organs automatically makes that person the opposite sex from which they were born. This is a pathetically wishful and disturbingly simple way of defining sex, not to mention scientifically ignorant. You cannot overturn XX or XY chromosomes that you were born with, nor the certain physical characteristics, including advantageous ones that are directly the consequences of testosterone among other factors.
You’re living in a fantasy land if you think cutting your balls and dick off, along with taking estrogen therapy, will magically transform biological male into female. When science finds a way to switch sex chromosomes, then we can talk about the issue in scientifically-based realities. Trans movement has taken over the discussion for gay and lesbian equality; it’s taken the movement into regressive, anti-intellectual realms. Biological women and gay men are just supposed to shut up while we relinquish our rights to define ourselves in terms no longer acceptable to trans ideology.
It’s troubling that women are told they’re transphobic for merely stating the obvious or for pointing out equality of competing against biological males in sporting events. It’s dangerous to think that conservative cultures being more accepting of gay sons being trans, which I have seen myself. I’ve worked with a few Latino trans preteen patients in our psych practice who are gay but are now saying they’re trans due to parental acceptance. One of the boy’s mom told me that she would be more accepting of her son as trans as opposed to gay. The other one has a dad who also said more or less the same thing, in fact he said something along the lines of better gaining a daughter than the other choice.

What Chastity Bono ended up doing to herself was just sad, R416. I read her book about coming out as gay when I was a baby dyke and I enjoyed it but there was a sadness to it, like she wrote the book to get her parents to accept her, in a way. Cher made comments about how masculine Chaz was as a woman and you’ve got to think some of that stuck. The documentary with Chaz’s sweet, drunk girlfriend having Chaz burp in her face because he was a guy now, was both revealing and depressing television.
To see Chastity end up claiming to be a man is not something I could ever think was a positive thing. I feel that way about many transitions I hear of. Which no doubt makes me horrible transphobic trash, right, thread troll? And several times worse given I have an actually female body...
I am sure there are a small number of genuinely trans people, but not very many. To see young women hating themselves so much that they end up claiming they are “gay men” and then date other FtMs... all to not be lesbians... is just absolutely tragic, I’m sorry. Yeah, yeah, actual lesbians are tragic too, sure we are, etc, thanks thread troll let me save you the time.

r459 that is so stupid. It's ridiculous how trans activists have to immediately use hyperbole ("JK HATES people like xhir!"). If they didn't have hyperbole and "slippery slope" arguments, they would have NOTHING.
Because what JK said is supportive of womens' rights and not trans.
I love that they're so pressed about it. They can't "cancel" JK Rowling, and most of them probably grew up on her books. I'd hope it's causing some of the slogan-repeaters to rethink their nonsense, but I don't think they have thought about it at all.
Amnesty's account is clearly run by some millennial SJW now. It's a pity.

For such a small marginalised segment of the population trans 'folx' sure seem to have mainstream media outlets and other huge corporate entities in their back pocket. It may be that everyone just wants to rush to the fore to defend what they believe to be a vulnerable minority and score woke points thereby, but this is looking increasingly like a top-down operation rather than a grassroots civil rights struggle.

by Anonymous | reply 470 | December 21, 2019 2:32 AM |
It all comes down to Western people needing to feel good about themselves. They do this by jumping on the bandwagon early and becoming an ally to a minority group. “I supported the black/gay community before it was fashionable.” Everyone wants to virtue signal. Gay is now passé. Western culture is running out of victims to support. Trans are the last of the bunch.

As a gay man, I'd always believed the assertions about trans people put out by the major LGBT organizations, but this article makes me believe I've been in a trans bubble. If the ultrahigh murder rates of transpeople espoused by conventional wisdom and democratic candidates is wrong, then what else is wrong? I assume that the high suicide rates are accurate right? And the levels of job discrimination above that of racial minorities? I feel a little like I'm stepping out of a cult and trying to parse what's real and what's not.

David Baddiel weighs in. He also used the phrase “cis Jews”. Cis Jews! I’m rolling.
[quote] Good that Twitter is choosing not to shout extremely angrily about this but instead at our greatest children's author for having an opinion.
[quote] Well, if someone said "everyone including Jews has a right to live their life in peace and security, but I personally think Jews who have converted from another religion aren't exactly the same as Jews born Jewish" - I'd think that was an opinion yes, not hate speech. Bye now.
[quote] I agree. But I don't think it would be anti-Semitic to understand that distinctions exist, not least in terms of anti-Semitism itself. The Nazis for example did not kill converts as long as they converted back to Christianity. They persecuted only cis Jews.

The problem is mostly the dehumanisation of transwomen. Like when Germaine Greer called them ‘it’ and Janice Raymond said they should be ‘mandated out of existence’.
If you follow the TERF logic that it’s all part of a plot to rape fat, old butch dykes — despite them also just being gay men somehow — you can see how when TERFs decide to start wantonly killing women and using ‘panic’ and ‘self-defends’ it normalises violence against transwomen.

Stop lying about women not supporting gay rights. Hell, even Fox News isn't able to lie about it anymore: "That shift comes entirely from women. Since 2015, support among women has increased 14 points, while support among men went down two points. Meanwhile, there’s a 19-point gender gap: 63 percent of women vs. 44 percent of men are in favor."
Women overwhelmingly support gay rights. The right of predatory straight men to be in their locker rooms/prisons/shelters/sports? Not so much.

Incidentally, merely for pointing out on Twitter that posting a link to a Slate article from a PhD Anthro student claiming that "biology does not exist" does not make it actual peer-reviewed SCIENCE, some idiot on Twitter added me to list called "Neo-Nazis". by Anonymous | reply 545 | December 21, 2019 5:18 PM |
R543 Of course we do. I've never had any problems with lesbians. However, I know many gay men are misogynists. That shouldn't be considered a blanket statement.
R545 That's the enemy's strategy; divide and conquer. Is that Fascist scumbag who attacked me on the Coulier thread lurking here? I won't tolerate being attacked and being expected to "take it" then vilified when I finally defend myself like a man.
by Anonymous | reply 546 | December 21, 2019 5:33 PM |
Yes, R544, but the strange thing is, I just searched Twitter and I cannot find ONE instance of Gervais, Linehan, or Walliams being threatened with oral rape. Very odd, indeed; almost like whether one has a penis or a vagina matters in such disputes!

Lesbians identify with feminism over gay rights.
Lesbians always side with straight women over gay men.

I don't get how much of it is autogynephilia and how much of it are folks who feel that they are so fem as biological males that they might as well live as women?

I’m an ardent freezepeach defender.
By freezepeach I mean I get to use the word faggot as much as I want but if someone says dyke they have to be greyed out.

Lumping gays in with a bunch of self loathing self-mutilators is a form of divide and conquer. Using that goddamn acronym instead of just saying gay is a form of divide and conquer.

Oh so now one must be "radical" "feminist" to acknowledge the scientific facts of reproductive biology? Someone involved in the funding of this violently misogynist gay eradication program needs to fucking whistleblow.
I think that, much like the online "trump supporters", which are 90% trolls & bots, a large majority of the pro-trans swarm is illusory and entirely fictive. Every time the subject of trans comes up in conversation with a friend and I share my thoughts, they're first thrown by the statistical facts that directly contradict the trans press release narrative and appalled by the ongoing acts of violence against and oppression of women that the movement encourages, condones and incites and, then, they admit they find the whole thing fucked up but feel like they can't say anything. My takeaway from those conversations has been that the vast majority of people are completely cool with and appreciative of exactly where the gay rights movement had led and was continuing to lead society in alternatives to stereotypical gender presentation/identity. The extremely well funded trans movement has nearly undone all of that work and social progress.

No, cunt, we disagree with your 'facts'.
Gender is not purely a social construct.
And we don't like how some transkeptic gay men are cosying up to homophobic rad fems.
by Anonymous | reply 560 | December 21, 2019 7:33 PM |
As a gay man, I don't find Caitlyn Jenner threatening.
She's obviously not a gay men being 'fixed' by homophobic parents.
So why should I care if she wants to go into a women's locker room?

"This isn't funny.
I don't need to be clicking onto these threads, but must. I live in a small Maine town where I run an independent womyn's hardware store. Business is tough enough without the hatred I receive daily. Just the other day my store was damaged in a Kristallnacht organized and perpetrated by the town's large and hateful majority: Menindressesgendered and those hedonistic, humorless gay men.
I could move, I suppose. But I feel duty-bound to remain as a matyr (albeit one with a great sense of humor and laisser vivre). I will not be erased at a time when gay womyn are having the ends of pencils being rubbed against their bodies. However, I never lose sight of the fact that all-privileged class (gay men) are the enemy. It's those vapid, sex-crazed, M-A-L-E, Garland and Streisand loving queens (and any other stereotypes I can think of) that force me to post here; just as they force me to wear a plaid triangle with a large 'k.d.' stamped in around town.
Sometimes I wish AIDS would become drug resistant.

This whole shitshow illuminates the ludicrousness/absurdity of the so-called LGBT community. None of those letters belong together or form any type of real life brotherhood. Especially the Ts and Bs. The Ls and Gs certainly don't care for the other two. G & L liberation is useless/redundant now and is mostly a corporate tool/invention.

Ricky Gervais ✔ @rickygervais They don't want to argue. They can't afford to have their propositions questioned. They want to create a dogma with its own blasphemy laws and the "fatwah" of labelling people bigots to shut them down, ostracise them and even have them fired.

The scary thing about the Ts are that most of these men look absolutely nothing like a female. They have no femininity whatsoever. Like Bruce Jenner. It is laughable that these men call themselves women when they are the furthest thing from being an actual female. The billionaires who are pushing this sick agenda need to be exposed. They need to be outlawed.

A researcher who lost her job after arguing that transgender people cannot change their biological sex said that she had suffered vitriolic abuse while celebrities argued about her case.
Maya Forstater, a tax expert, thanked the author JK Rowling for her support yesterday after she lost an employment tribunal claim that she had been discriminated against because of her views.
An employment judge dismissed Ms Forstater’s case on Wednesday, ruling that her views on transgender women were “absolutist” and did not constitute a protected belief under equality law.
Martina Navratilova, the former tennis champion, supported Ms Forstater on Twitter, writing: “This kind of a situation will become more common and that’s not OK. We must do a better job protecting women.” Sharron Davies, the former Olympic Swimmer, wrote: “Whereas gender today is a social construct, an ideology, a feeling, totally changeable. I believe we cannot change sex but can live happily expressing ourselves outside of any stereotypes.”
Patricia Arquette, the American actress whose late sister was transsexual, wrote that she did not “stand with Maya for many reasons”. “I am not afraid of being raped by a trans woman in fact I’m afraid for trans women as they have the highest likelihood of being raped in any group,” she said.
Mark Hamill, the Star Wars actor, initially “liked” Rowling’s tweet but later apologised, saying: “I didn’t realise it had any transphobic connotation.”
Ms Forstater said reaction to the judgment “has been astonishing [and] demonstrated how important this issue is”.
“Of course there has also been vitriolic personal abuse,” she said. “This has become the norm for women who wish to express their belief on this subject. We will not be bullied into silence. The fundamental question at the root of my case, whether women’s rights as a sex can be protected, is one that is important enough to require us to talk freely.
“Restricting people’s ability to talk about the law, and about proposed changes to the law using ordinary, everyday language which reflects material reality is unprecedented and fundamentally damaging to a free society.”
Ms Forstater, 46, said her contract with the Centre for Global Development think tank had not been renewed after some colleagues complained about comments she made on social media. She said a review organised by the think tank had found that she had used “exclusionary language” and “used fear-mongering against a marginalised community” without being given a chance to defend herself.
Judge James Tayler ruled at the Central London employment tribunal that Ms Forstater “will not accept in any circumstances that a trans woman is in reality a woman” which she believed was important to “support her sense of self, feminism and political activism”.
Peter Daly, of Slater and Gordon, her solicitor, said: “This case must go through the litigation process in which evidence is tested according to the relevant legal principles. The judgement has not applied those principles correctly."

Don’t you know that a woman is no more likely to be ladylike than a man. That’s a social construct.
