Isn't she perfect?

Yes

by Anonymousreply 1December 11, 2019 2:41 AM

I worship her.

by Anonymousreply 2December 11, 2019 2:46 AM

Best vocabulary of all time.

by Anonymousreply 3December 11, 2019 2:48 AM

She's hilarious. I know people read Moira as parody, but she's really only a slight caricature of a certain type of LA woman. Catherine O'Hara nailed it!

by Anonymousreply 4December 11, 2019 2:51 AM

The best mother a gay boy could ever have

by Anonymousreply 5December 11, 2019 2:54 AM

O'Hara is very underrated

by Anonymousreply 6December 11, 2019 2:54 AM

Just casually rocking that Joker look in OP's photo. 😅

by Anonymousreply 7December 11, 2019 2:54 AM

I wanna try her UNchiladas recipe.

by Anonymousreply 8December 11, 2019 2:59 AM

Who was the actress O'Hara replaced?

by Anonymousreply 9December 11, 2019 3:10 AM

R9, I had no idea there was going to be an alternate Moira actress?

by Anonymousreply 10December 11, 2019 3:45 AM

R9 I think you have Moira mixed up with Alexis. Originally, Abby Elliott was going to play Alexis, but she dropped out and was replaced with Annie Murphy. As far as I know Catherine O'Hara, a long time co-star of Eugene Levy, was always supposed to be Moira.

by Anonymousreply 11December 11, 2019 3:51 AM

Catherine is great in the role but the show reached its expiration date around season 3. You can only milk the fish out of water scenario for so long.

by Anonymousreply 12December 11, 2019 3:55 AM

R12 But, that is part of the charm, slowly the Roses have gone from being fish out of water to being truly a part of the town.

by Anonymousreply 13December 11, 2019 3:58 AM

Best of Moira.

R12 the show keeps getting better especially with David’s romance

by Anonymousreply 15December 11, 2019 7:31 AM

She's one of the most iconic TV comedy characters of all time as far as I'm concerned!

by Anonymousreply 16December 11, 2019 8:32 AM

Moira, plus David's eyebrows, make the show.

by Anonymousreply 17December 11, 2019 8:39 AM

and the Schitt boyfriends r17!

by Anonymousreply 18December 11, 2019 10:32 AM

R4 The thought of multiple Moiras around sounds a bit scary and unreal.

by Anonymousreply 19December 11, 2019 10:49 AM

I agree with R13. The show has improved with each season and I hope it ages well. O'Hara is a national treasure. Daniel isn't the best actor, but I find his facial expressions entertaining.

by Anonymousreply 20December 11, 2019 10:49 AM

Bebe is all I need to hear her

by Anonymousreply 21December 11, 2019 12:11 PM

R19, yes -- this type of older, fancy lady can be seen shopping at Bristol Farms or browsing at The Broad.

by Anonymousreply 22December 11, 2019 7:54 PM

I quote her when I announce I'm going to bed at 8pm. "I've had enough waking hours for one day."

by Anonymousreply 23December 11, 2019 8:24 PM

R16 I wholeheartedly agree. The funniest, quirkiest cast of characters that are quite lovable.

by Anonymousreply 24December 11, 2019 8:33 PM

Has she won an Emmy for this? If not, why not?

by Anonymousreply 25December 12, 2019 8:12 PM

R25 she was nominated this year but didnt win.

by Anonymousreply 26December 12, 2019 8:21 PM

R26, thanks. Whoever won wasn't as good as Moira.

by Anonymousreply 27December 12, 2019 8:23 PM

R27 that lady from Fleabag won

by Anonymousreply 28December 12, 2019 8:26 PM

R28, I don't even know what that show is. See how irrelevant the winner is?

by Anonymousreply 29December 12, 2019 8:27 PM

r29 Oof, gurl, I wouldn't brag about that. 😬

by Anonymousreply 30December 12, 2019 8:32 PM

R30, OK, I googled her. She has an annoying face.

by Anonymousreply 31December 12, 2019 8:34 PM

I'm convinced that the writers must-read Datalounge, especially after the reference to Moira having once appeared in a made for TV movie with Joyce DeWitt called "Not Without My Cousin".

by Anonymousreply 32December 24, 2019 12:37 AM

She just snagged a SAG award nomination for best female performance in a comedy and the cast is nominated for best comedy ensemble. Just think back 20 years or so.... Chris Elliot nominated for a SAG award seemed about as likely as Donald Trump becoming president. Stranger things have happened.

What would Moira Rose do during this coronavirus outbreak?
