R9 I think you have Moira mixed up with Alexis. Originally, Abby Elliott was going to play Alexis, but she dropped out and was replaced with Annie Murphy. As far as I know Catherine O'Hara, a long time co-star of Eugene Levy, was always supposed to be Moira.

Catherine is great in the role but the show reached its expiration date around season 3. You can only milk the fish out of water scenario for so long.

R12 But, that is part of the charm, slowly the Roses have gone from being fish out of water to being truly a part of the town.

I agree with R13. The show has improved with each season and I hope it ages well. O'Hara is a national treasure. Daniel isn't the best actor, but I find his facial expressions entertaining.

I'm convinced that the writers must-read Datalounge, especially after the reference to Moira having once appeared in a made for TV movie with Joyce DeWitt called "Not Without My Cousin".

She just snagged a SAG award nomination for best female performance in a comedy and the cast is nominated for best comedy ensemble. Just think back 20 years or so.... Chris Elliot nominated for a SAG award seemed about as likely as Donald Trump becoming president. Stranger things have happened.
