OMG TEH EIGHTIES
I guess they decided that there was no point in hiding they are contriving a way to bring Chris Pine back to life.

Yaaaassssssss!!!!! Come thru, Kween!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 8, 2019 8:25 PM |
I hate to say it but that actually looks pretty fucking awesome. Does WW kick Nancy Reagan in the box?
I haven't seen the first one though. Is there a lot of Chris Pine or can I just skip over those parts?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 8, 2019 8:25 PM |
There is a lot of Chris Pine in the first
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 8, 2019 8:34 PM |
Then I'll pass.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 8, 2019 8:47 PM |
The year 1984 is having quite the resurgence these days.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 8, 2019 9:17 PM |
It's weird they don't show Kristen Wiig in her Cheetah get-up.
I didn't recognize Pedro Pascal in blond hair at first. Apparently he's playing Maxwell Lord.
I will miss Lucy Davis as Etta Candy--she was one of the best things about the first movie.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 8, 2019 9:18 PM |
I loved Etta Candy. I wish they could keep her around instead of Steve.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 8, 2019 9:25 PM |
How do they bring Steve back? Now we’re getting into some supernatural vampire shit.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 8, 2019 9:33 PM |
Maybe the Monitor and Harbinger brought Steve to Diana, snatching him from right before his death.
1984 is the year before the Crisis, after all!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 8, 2019 9:44 PM |
I loved Lucy Davis, too. Shame she can't be in this one. I don't know what r8 is talking about, Chris Pine was great in the first movie.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 9, 2019 12:25 AM |
First movie I've actually been excited about in ages.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 9, 2019 12:31 AM |
I loved the first one. I don’t get much of a sense of the story from this trailer. The music sounds more 90s electronica than 80s, but OK.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 9, 2019 12:36 AM |
It's weird they don't show Kristen Wiig in her Cheetah get-up.
I thought that as well. I'm guessing they'll show it in the second trailer.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 9, 2019 12:38 AM |
The “I was in love once” comment to Wiig suddenly made me imagine Wiig doing a parody of Norma Desmond saying, “I was a STAH once! I really was!” with sepia-toned clips of her old SNL skits.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 9, 2019 12:40 AM |
r12
Maybe Barbara does, and that's how she becomes cursed as Cheetah?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 9, 2019 12:42 AM |
R16, the music is “Blue Monday” by New Order, released in 1983.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 9, 2019 12:47 AM |
Does Lynda Carter do a cameo in this one?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | December 9, 2019 12:47 AM |
The music sounds more 90s electronica than 80s, but OK.
OK boomer.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 9, 2019 12:51 AM |
Who is Pascal playing? What's his villain's name, I mean?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 9, 2019 12:57 AM |
r23
Maxwell Lord
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 9, 2019 1:02 AM |
r24 Thanks. Interesting powerset.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 9, 2019 1:05 AM |
I don’t find Chris Pine attractive personally; however he was the best thing about the first movie.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 9, 2019 1:15 AM |
He isn’t attractive. He looks like a ferret
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 9, 2019 1:17 AM |
I disagree. He's my favorite of the Chrises. And he's got the best ass too
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 9, 2019 1:24 AM |
His ass is flat.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 9, 2019 1:31 AM |
If you watch movies to see men’s asses, just stick with porn.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 9, 2019 1:35 AM |
OMG! Me and the girls from the office or so there opening night.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 9, 2019 1:37 AM |
The mall?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 9, 2019 1:45 AM |
Fun!
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 9, 2019 3:53 AM |
They did a nice job digitally retouching Chris Pine. The booze and cigarettes are really starting to show on his face in candid pap shots.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 9, 2019 4:15 AM |
Is Wonder Woman's gold goddess armor from the trailer cannon or was it just created for the movie?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | December 9, 2019 5:02 AM |
Comics canon.
While the Gold Armor first appeared in Kingdom Come #3 (1996), it did not show up in the New Earth continuity until Wonder Woman (Volume 2) #144 (1999).
by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 9, 2019 5:09 AM |
It looks like they recreate Lynda’s polyester look as “modern day” Diana Prince for at least one scene.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 9, 2019 5:49 AM |
Didn't like the first one. This one I'm all in for though.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 9, 2019 6:15 AM |
So a part of plot - about how Steve has come back - has leaked on reddit by a a few people who saw the screening. Does anyone want to know ?
I don't want to put it here and have bitches yell at me later

by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 9, 2019 1:01 PM |
Thanks for the link R42.
I have to say the writer is pretty good. I loved this part:

R16, as R20 pointed out "New Order"
How do I Feel? I'm excited about this movie...fantastic use of "Blue Monday."
I stand here waiting: August cannot come soon enough.
It seems wonder Woman's heart has not grown cold for Steve Trevor.
nor has mine for Chris Pine!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 9, 2019 1:56 PM |
R43 I agree the synopsis was well written. When I first watched the trailer I also thought Barbara reminded me a bit of Selina Kyle in Batman Returns which the writer mentioned.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 9, 2019 1:57 PM |
I think Cheeta is going to be full on CGI
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 9, 2019 2:47 PM |
It looks great so far. Glad we're going to see the Amazons again.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 9, 2019 5:04 PM |
I'm glad iconic Wonder Woman villains are finally getting some shine. I've been tired of the same old Batman villains hogging the spotlight. I hope Circe is next. I love her
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 9, 2019 5:17 PM |
I'd rather see Giganta next.
Decay could be pretty scary and amazing.
Peter Dinklage for Dr. Psycho.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 9, 2019 6:01 PM |
It does look good. Curious what Cheeta will look like.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | December 10, 2019 4:25 AM |
Gal Gadot's Diana and Kristen Wiig's Barbara Ann discuss love in a way that suggests the film will adopt the more inclusive nature of the recent comics.
Curious what Cheeta will look like.
Correctly spelled with an "h" at the end, I hope.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 10, 2019 5:07 AM |
Maybe they’re freaking out and tweaking the CGI for Cheetah, given the “Cats” horror show.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 10, 2019 7:16 AM |
R54 You triggered a slow-build maniacal laugh over here as I imagined a tiny singing CGI Kristen Wiig “Cats”-style Cheetah villainess. That would frankly be a lot more terrifying of a villain than another stupid gleeful supervillain who launches into the sky and yells “I! Will! Destroy you!!!” (Which actually happened, verbatim, in the first Wonder Woman movie, is the only bad part of that movie IMO.)
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 10, 2019 10:12 AM |
Curious what Cheeta will look like.
A slightly sexier version of this.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 10, 2019 1:10 PM |
I'm really curious if Wiig can pull this off.
The first film was well-reviewed but this one has its work cut out for them.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 11, 2019 12:16 AM |
Will there be a cross-over with American Horror Story?
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 11, 2019 12:20 AM |
When Wonder Woman showed up in Batman vs. Superman, nobody knew who she was. Now we learn that after she left her island during WWI, she never returned and has been living in the outside world the whole time and operating as WW (in public) so I wonder if that part of WW being incognito in the outside world for the past 100 years has just been ignored.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 11, 2019 1:11 AM |
so I wonder if that part of WW being incognito in the outside world for the past 100 years has just been ignored.
Probably
by Anonymous | reply 60 | December 11, 2019 4:41 AM |
Wonder Woman is so popular now, they should do an animated series.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | December 11, 2019 5:51 AM |
Or another live action series. That's not on the CW.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | December 11, 2019 6:02 AM |
I loved the first movie but am I the only one who thinks that looked like shit? From one of the early shots of her weird red bondage boots to the scenes that just looked exactly like the lasso scenes from the first movie just in a mall to the magical return of dead Steve, it just seems really lame.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | December 11, 2019 6:19 AM |
R63 you are literally the only person who feels this way. Enjoy it.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | December 11, 2019 6:25 AM |

'Cause of the novel. It's the future all over again - you will love Donald Trump
by Anonymous | reply 65 | December 11, 2019 6:49 AM |
Okay R63. You probably need Black Widow to restore your faith in cinema. But as Wonder Woman says, that's just a trash can.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | December 11, 2019 8:30 AM |
I skimmed R42. I'm sceptical of the concept. I'm not sure the CGI will sell it either. :/
I'll still take Karen and the girls from the office on opening night, though.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | December 11, 2019 8:44 AM |
^Concept/CGI meaning Barabara's transformation to Cheetah.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | December 11, 2019 8:45 AM |
I thought they’d bring Pine on as Chris’ son
by Anonymous | reply 69 | December 11, 2019 3:04 PM |
If Steve Trevor had a son, he'd be an old man by the 80s.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | December 11, 2019 3:05 PM |
Is this movie a spin-off of Stranger Things? Me no understand.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | December 11, 2019 3:15 PM |
I hate any storyline in which people die but then remain alive. That always takes away all dramatic stakes. F-.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | December 11, 2019 3:21 PM |
Pedro Pascal can have me any day, even with the 80s douche hair.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | December 11, 2019 3:30 PM |
Based on this article, it seems they didn't use a lot of CGI for Cheetah
by Anonymous | reply 75 | December 11, 2019 9:11 PM |
R75 glad to hear it. Now I'm even more curious to see what she looks like.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | December 12, 2019 4:04 AM |
WW84 is so 10 minutes ago. I've moved on to part 3 and the Amazons spin-off!!
by Anonymous | reply 77 | December 12, 2019 5:18 AM |
then it could be Steve's grandson; if Diana's immortal she's going to live thru the centuries; there need to be more Steves
by Anonymous | reply 78 | December 12, 2019 5:23 AM |
I'm thinking from the trailer The Cheetah somehow morphs into Chris Pines' character. Tricks Wonder Woman into "falling in love with her. " And then they have a dyke fight.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | December 12, 2019 5:34 AM |
That would actually be interesting, R79.
So, do you think they aren't showing Cheetah because they want to build anticipation for the next trailer or because they fucked it up and she looks like a Cats reject?
by Anonymous | reply 80 | December 12, 2019 6:00 AM |
The Cheetah will be a bad ass!! Initially, everyone doubted the casting Jenkins brought to this series. Everyone said the new Wonder Woman was inadequate. Whatever. Yet here we are. Warner Brothers always powering on.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | December 12, 2019 6:12 AM |
Cheetah starts off as becoming equal to Wonder Woman in strength and agility but then she gets greedy and shit hits the fan.
by Anonymous | reply 82 | December 12, 2019 7:51 AM |
They made a good decision by not showing Cheetah in the trailer otherwise the similarity (however remote) would have caused lumping of the movie with CATS by viewers, making Wonder woman the punch of all jokes. Let the CATS fiasco pass and show Cheetah in 2-3 months in trailer 2!
by Anonymous | reply 83 | December 21, 2019 10:42 AM |
I had no idea another Scooby Doo movie was coming out.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | March 25, 2020 6:11 AM |
WW 84 has just been postponed yet again, to August. This is the third time, I think. It really getting ridiculous, they should just bite the bullet and release it on streaming already.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | March 29, 2020 12:38 AM |
R86 wasn't it always August??
by Anonymous | reply 87 | March 29, 2020 4:11 AM |
No, it was supposed to be released in December of last year, then they moved it up to November of last year, then they moved it to June of this year and now it's slated for August. If they don't finally release it to theaters in August, they just need to bite the bullet and release it on streaming.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | March 29, 2020 4:30 AM |
R88 sounds like they don't have much confidence in WW84.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | March 29, 2020 5:04 AM |
Too serious... again. I mean 'Wonder Woman'? The title hints at camp, but they never get there. Just dreary stunts.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | March 29, 2020 5:16 AM |
It will be postponed again, probably to Holidays at the very least but more likely 2021. Even if the situation has improved by August, I doubt theaters will recover quickly.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | April 1, 2020 11:21 PM |
They should just join the Video-on-Demand trend.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | April 1, 2020 11:27 PM |
If August is a no-go theatrically, they just need to put it on streaming. It's starting to get ridiculous with all the changed release dates.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | April 1, 2020 11:44 PM |
R92 they really should🤞
by Anonymous | reply 94 | April 2, 2020 1:54 AM |
With everybody stuck at home with nothing to do, they should really release this on streaming. It would probably make more money that way, given the current circumstances, than a theatrical release would.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | April 4, 2020 2:01 AM |
If it doesn't have a theatrical release, it won't be eligible for Oscar consideration.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | April 4, 2020 1:56 PM |
I'll admit this one film delay that made me sad. I hope it gets an August release.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | April 25, 2020 10:48 PM |
I watched this again today. It's really one of the best trailers of the last ten years. And that isn't hyperbole. It's an editing marvel from a visual and audio perspective, and it makes me excited to see the film.
I'm looking forward to this movie. I really want to see it in the cinema, but I guess we'll have to see how that goes.
I'm also looking forward to the final trailer when we get to see Kristen Wiig in her Cheetah costume!
by Anonymous | reply 98 | May 15, 2020 11:58 AM |
Reddit has spoiled the whole movie, if you're so inclined to look.
by Anonymous | reply 99 | May 25, 2020 11:50 PM |
Guess how long it takes Chris Pine to recover from day-drinking and (sort of) join this conversation, while his castmates tap-dance around his disturbing [italic]ennui[/italic]?
by Anonymous | reply 101 | June 13, 2020 12:39 AM |
They had to add Wiig for humor because Whatsername isn't fun or funny.

by Anonymous | reply 104 | June 13, 2020 2:29 AM |
r101 Pine clearly didn't want to be there but was contractually obligated. He seems like a very sullen person.

by Anonymous | reply 106 | June 13, 2020 4:23 AM |
I don't like Wiig's hairstyle. That shade of blonde washes her out.
by Anonymous | reply 107 | June 13, 2020 5:10 AM |
New trailer gives away entirely too much.
Pine is charming though.
by Anonymous | reply 108 | August 22, 2020 5:54 PM |
Well, they’ve certainly had extra time to render/perfect Cheetah’s allegedly digital costume.
We better not have another Cats situation on our hands.
by Anonymous | reply 109 | August 22, 2020 6:00 PM |
I'm surprised that Gadot got some backlash when she was initially cast.
I think she's fantastic as Wonder Woman. I mean, she's no Lynda Carter, but she's still pretty good.
She's much better as WW (compared to Lynda) than Cavill is Supes compared to Christopher Reeve.
by Anonymous | reply 110 | August 22, 2020 6:08 PM |
Hmmm. It was hard to top the last trailer (the one with the New Order song).
As far as Cheetah ... I'm not hating her ... but I'm finding myself comparing her to Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman ...
by Anonymous | reply 111 | August 22, 2020 11:53 PM |
