I'm pretty honest and straightforward, but still diplomatic & mindful of people's feelings.

I'm a devoted lover of animals, and pretty kind to people, in general. And my BF is practically a saint.

I am a fluid and articulate speaker, and I can talk off-the-cuff about a number of subjects. I am a persuasive writer. My insights regarding people are often adopted by many others. Let me state that there are a number of things I don't like about myself, but that's for another day.

I'm a strong person. That's come in handy with being an emotional rock and being the one to get shit down in a crisis with family and friends.

I love my positive attitude. It seems to make getting through life so much easier. Perhaps it's an illusion, but I'm okay with that if it means I don't dwell very long on life's challenges. I learn from these challenges and move on.

I do not currently love anything about myself. After a number of medical nightmares that have left me—among other things—an amputee in a wheelchair, I’m not sure I ever will again.

I'm good at photography, and I think I can read people pretty well. It's always amazing to me when I see mature adults naively trusting people that should send up every red flag in the book.

I was a kind child and then I grew to be more cynical and defensive. For sometime now my mantra is "I am willing to be kind to myself". At first it was a scary process, I guess because I believed that kindness made me a target. I notice that my thoughts are less frightening and critical and that I feel a lot less critical and judgemental of others as well.
