I could move right in. Bonus for the pool and hot tub!
Tasteful Friends - What Do We Think of Norah Jones's Brooklyn Townhouse?

LOVELY!

There is a ton to like. I'd redo one of the bathrooms, the wrought iron bannister and spindles and, ideally, the kitchen but it's a great place.

Lots I love. I feel like the pool and hottub area would essentially be a Sandals resort for rats, though. I’ve never been interested in non-balcony outdoor space in New York.

Are mismatched windows a new design trend? Not a fan of fur skin rugs.

If I were female, my vagina would be pulsating. Otherwise, barf.

The bamboo planted behind the fence beside the pool area will cause lots of problems.

Her music is so boring. But I like the townhouse.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 19, 2019 3:44 PM |
Music artists have so much more money than people think. Norah hasn't been relevant in over a decade, yet she can afford to own an $8 million townhouse in NYC?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 19, 2019 3:50 PM |
No, she can afford to sell an $8m townhouse that she likely bought 15 years ago for half that price and probably still owes $2m on.

An excellent example of Boho Bland. Beni Ourain rug, basket turned light fixture, spiny cactus, West Elm art, Moroccan pouf? Yep. I could do bingo cards for this look. There some nice things, but it's not terribly original.

I am sure your home has been featured in AD, right r10 ?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 19, 2019 4:22 PM |
I really like it. Not a fan of the bathroom or the patio space but otherwise I like it.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 19, 2019 4:30 PM |
r8 in the music business once you have a big hit, you can live pretty comfortably if you are smart. If you can write and arrange, you can make a nice living, once your get your name out there with a hit song/album.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 19, 2019 4:41 PM |
r13, since music is basically free, I thought musicians had to constantly tour to make any money?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 19, 2019 4:48 PM |
It's as if a Houlihan's from 1979 had a baby with a Hollywood Hills home with disastrous results. The mystifying tile work for staters.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 19, 2019 4:49 PM |
When was the last time she had a hit?
She'll be selling that place soon
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 19, 2019 5:10 PM |
$8 million for Brooklyn? I never imagined I’d live to see that.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 19, 2019 5:19 PM |
This is literally my dream house san pool & hot tub
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 19, 2019 7:13 PM |
Norah's heyday was back when CDs were still the rage. She made her millions before Youtube and Spotify. Lucky bitch.
Oh, the place is great.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 19, 2019 7:19 PM |
No, R11. AD is all about celebrities these days. My work has been published, though. One of my showhouse rooms has been pinned over 1500 times. I think my critique is valid.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 19, 2019 7:33 PM |
I'm assuming the place is staged by the realtors. Otherwise she has about as much personality as her voice.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 19, 2019 7:33 PM |
Boho-chic beautiful.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 19, 2019 8:22 PM |
r21, if you want to see a place completely devoid of personality, check out Katie Holmes' house.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 19, 2019 8:25 PM |
I love how there are so many music industry experts here, does anyone who commented actually work in music?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 19, 2019 8:31 PM |
I don't think you guys know the difference between staged and unstaged. Norah's house is bland but unstaged. You don't keep 30 stupid chandeliers over a stairway in a staged house. Katie's house was definitely staged. White walls, simple furniture, blank canvas.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 19, 2019 8:33 PM |
Exactly, r3. The pool would be nasty.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 19, 2019 8:36 PM |
Staging aside, Katie’s place looks like it would belong to the one of the least interesting cast members of the Real Housewives of OC.
