A year ago a group of young women in one of my classes wanted to do their semester research on Kylie and marketing. Jessica Alba is worth a fortune from her natural products line. And Ariana Grande has made more money than Elizabeth Taylor from her line of fragrances. I suspect Gaga is making a mint from her makeup line, too.

Cosmetic companies go from enormously popular to dead and buried in the space of a couple of years.
