DataLounge pollsters will dislike Vulture’s choice for last place, but few should dispute the top pick.
If I didn’t limit this to film, his episode of Will & Grace would have easily made the cut.

The Good Shepherd has always been my favorite Matt Damon movie.

Where is the Zoo! option?

It was none of those OP
It was Courage Under Fire.

His best work was as a female stripper, so he could wave his fat ass around on a pole. Amazing work, Matt!

Cameron Crowe has made only two good movies: Jerry Maguire (which is still saddled with schmalz) and Vanilla Sky.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 15, 2019 1:55 PM |
Vanilla Sky good?
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 15, 2019 2:09 PM |
Compared to the rest of Crowe's output? Yes. By those dreary standards, it is a masterpiece.

That doesn’t look like Matt at R4. From which film is it?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 15, 2019 2:39 PM |
Closer, R10. He played a female stripper in that movie.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 15, 2019 2:44 PM |
It's amazing how dedicated he was to the stripper role. Somehow Matt managed to develop cellulite on his ass and thighs...which should only be possible in the jiggly-puff bodies of women.
Christian Bale's performance in The Mechanic was amateur hour by comparison!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 15, 2019 2:46 PM |
He's a shit actor, amazing anyone let him have a career. I do truly marvel that anyone can say he's good.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 15, 2019 2:50 PM |
He's quite good in Ripley.
I don't know that I could argue with you about most of his other work.

Why did he, and how was he able to, play a woman? And how did he develop cellulite?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 16, 2019 12:21 AM |
He’s so boring. But at least he isn’t as awful as Affleck.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 16, 2019 12:57 AM |
r16 No one is as awful as Affleck. Well, Jimmy Smits.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 16, 2019 1:47 AM |
Is he a fat?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 16, 2019 2:21 AM |
The Talented Mr. Ripley. But why doesn’t the poll include The Departed?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 16, 2019 2:31 AM |
I think its inaccurate to lump the Bourne movies together. Loved his performance in the first Bourne film. The rest were all pretty one note and the focus was all on the action.
I agree he was great in Courage Under Fire. I really liked his turn in True Grit, as well. Another film that kind of flew under the radar - The Adjustment Bureau. His chemistry with Blunt was off the charts and made the entire film quite charming. They have The Martian listed, which I think is a really enjoyable performance from him, as he's on his own for most of the film and still makes it compelling. I also quite liked him and his abs in The Rainmaker.
Yes, I will be going to see Ford Vs Ferrari this weekend.

Matt was hot in that Liberace movie.

Only liked the Talented Mr. Ripley because of the story not him.

Well, I think we all suspect this: Matt just may be a former SHE. Matt is trans, dear. I'm almost certain of it.

I mean...look at that female, bubble ass...
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 19, 2019 12:41 PM |
Another of his amazing thick, female ass!!!
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 19, 2019 12:43 PM |
R25, is that really Damon?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 19, 2019 10:54 PM |
Bump.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 20, 2019 11:15 PM |
Damon?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 22, 2019 4:43 AM |
I voted for Ripley but also really enjoyed his performances in The Martian and the Bourne Identity. I liked the Bourne series but wished they would have found somewhere meatier to take the plot.

Matt might be male2female. His ass was also used in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones to make tiny Portman look like she had a fat ass. How else to explain the voluptuous, Damon-like ass cheeks on Portman's small body?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 22, 2019 10:33 AM |
*female2male. Sorry. Damon's sexual spectrum confuses me: hot daddy action star with a fat femme ass.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 22, 2019 10:49 AM |
I'm with you, [R21]--I thought he was excellent in the Liberace movie--better than Michael Douglas, in fact.
[R22], you are SUCH a bitch.

He's an adequate at best actor. Ripley might have been a brilliant film had a good actor had Damon's role.
