Moving On With Your Life Into Adulthood

Did it used to be easier? Especially being gay, I imagine there is a yin-yang to it, that we’ve progressed as far gay rights etc., but now I feel like Social Media stops us. We’re all tethered to these people from high school and it feels infantilizing.

Would it have killed you to have at least posted a picture or link OP? Would it? I mean would that have really been so hard? Would it? Why don’t you try to think more of others next time before you post? What's your problem? I mean really, what's your damn problem?

You can delete your Facebook account and survive, OP.

I did it earlier this year — after thinking I couldn't possibly because it's the locus of the modern world — and it was freeing. I don't regret it for a second.

You can also mute high school people on Twitter and "restrict" them on Instagram so they basically disappear from your feeds.
