"Lately, Buttigieg has cracked into the top tier of otherwise septuagenarian candidates. However, he is not exceptionally popular among young voters, with polls showing that Buttigieg performs slightly better among older voters — and his campaign is trying to fix that."

The fact that an openly gay Presidential candidate has gotten this far and is doing this well is beyond incredible to me. You can criticize him all you like but this is absolutely stunning to witness.

Because he is the candidate of the Boomers who ruined everything.

Okay, the wife of the President is referred as the First Lady. What will we call Pete Buttigieg's husband Chasten Buttigieg?
First Gentleman. He will be known as the First Gentleman.

Agreed, R1.
Buttigieg may not be perfect on every issue and may be too moderate for some progressives, but he has had a big impact by getting this far as an openly gay man. He's gotten a lot of respect for the way he has presented himself as being articulate and strong. And because he served in the military, the anti-gay detractors haven't been able to portray him as a mincing prisspot the way gay men have been labelled in the past.
