Omg... I haven't showered since Friday
I got ready for work, showered, etc.
I was super tired and came home on Friday and crashed on the couch.
Then I just felt extremely lazy on Saturday and ended spending the whole day watching tv and surfing the internet.
Now it's Sunday, and I'm still sitting here, being a lazy bum.
My fear is that Monday is a work holiday (Veteran's Day), and I could potentially not shower until Tuesday!
HELP! I feel disgusting!

Get in the shower you filthy piece of rancid old cunt. Why are you even posting this?! x

Use Rubbing Alcohol all over your body, there's no need to shower, then use under arm deodorant.

It's ok, you are not going out anyway, and no one is visiting you, so?

Bathe in 3% hydrogen peroxide. Now.

You really don’t need to worry until your stench equals or surpasses Cheryl’s.

Struggling to complete basic activities of daily living is a sign of mental illness. You may not be competent to manage your own life anymore, OP.

Isn’t it amazing how life goes on?

I knew there was a strange fucking smell coming from my phone each time I logged onto Dstalounge this weekend.

I have weekends like that OP. If you’re not going anywhere, don’t worry about it. Sometimes it’s nice to be lazy. It gets exhausting getting ready every day, especially if you’re not going anywhere.
One way to make it more bearable is to take a long relaxing bubble bath first, and then taking a quick shower afterwards to rinse off.

Cheryl! long time no hear!!

Wait until Tuesday morning to shower. You'll feel great. Splash some water on your privates and pits on Monday if necessary. You'll be fine. Enjoy your escape from reality while it lasts.

I've been on wilderness camping trips, and went without showering much longer than your three day weekend. You won't die. I always tried to take a dip in streams, and had a faux shower under a waterfall once in Yosemite though. As long as you use deodorant and wash your feet and bum, you probably won't even notice any difference. Are you depressed? That's more the concern really.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 10, 2019 11:09 PM

Not depressed, R23.
Just feeling extremely lazy this weekend.
I'm relaxing the hell out of myself.
Trust me, I'm fastidious about hygiene, which is why I feel so gross right now.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 10, 2019 11:11 PM

Can you already smell yourself, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 10, 2019 11:14 PM

Call Erna, she'll be glad to lick you from head to toe.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 10, 2019 11:15 PM

Glad you're not depressed then OP. I think the American obsession with daily showers as the only way to keep clean is responsible for your guilt OP. Just relax and enjoy yourself, re-apply the deo, and just wash up if you begin to stink. Most healthy people, especially if you're not on many meds do not stink after a couple days. Just don't forget to brush your teeth!
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 10, 2019 11:17 PM

Are you uncircumcised, OP? If so, what is that fragrance currently like if you were to retract?

I used to go for a day or two without showering during the wintertime back when I smoked weed, OP. I liked my natural scent, like a dog maybe.
I never went three days, tho... nasty ass.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 10, 2019 11:49 PM

If you don’t have to go anywhere and your own stank isn’t bugging you, you’re fine. It’s a good way to replenish your natural body and hair oils.
You could also just jump into a warm shower and do your pits and heavy use zone and you’ll feel a bit better.
Or stink, whatever.

Different people have different metabolisms, skin types and sweatability in different climates.
Lots of people can cope with a "whore's bath" (see link below). The important thing is—
1. to clean your armpits and groin and wash the washcloth with soapy water.
2. check with friends if they detect odour
3. have a regular shower when appropriate- perhaps every 2 days or less
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 10, 2019 11:55 PM

Is it so unusual though not to shower for three days? Most older folks only shower or take a bath once or twice a week.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 10, 2019 11:55 PM

R36 A gerontologist told me that older folks sweat less and move their bodies less.

When I have those days, I just wash my face with a water and a washcloth, run my toothbrush over my teeth quickly for 10 seconds with no toothpaste and spit, put deodorant on, clean my privates with a wet wipe, and change my underwear. Takes 3 minutes and is the next best thing to actually getting ready. I don’t do my hair though. Can’t stand styling my hair.

Oh no!!! Three days no shower!! Please, someone get the watering can for the little violet!
by Anonymous | reply 39 | November 11, 2019 12:55 AM

R38 why just not shower if it’s taking you three minutes anyway?
Climate is a big factor. I live in Texas. In the spring and summer once a day because of humidity. When it’s fall and winter, I go every other day. If you work at a filthy job of course, probably twice a day.

OP, your stinking up your furniture. And that won’t go away. Put a washable cover on your couch and anywhere you sit. In fact, wrap yourself in cellophane.

Sometimes I just don't have time for a couple days. So I wash my face, run water through my hair... then soap my pits and apply scented underarm deodorant.

Are you a battlefield medic? If someone like OP says they just didn't feel like bathing I can understand that. But your life is so busy you couldn't squeeze in 5 minutes for a shower?

Get in the shower for the love of God! It is 5 minutes and it is called getting clean. I mean seriously wtf can you be thinking about? Too lazy? You have the energy to come on here and gross everyone out.

I do this, too , OP. I work from home Wed - Fri. If I'm not going anywhere and haven't been sweaty, I sometimes don't shower from Tuesday until Friday night.
We aren't doing manual labor like our forefathers. We don't need to use soap and water every single day! You need the healthy germs and microbes that live on your skin. As someone else mentioned, it also allows your body to replenish its natural oils.
I say go with it!

There was a time when all went wrong...
I’d dance between the sprinklers in a church parking lot. This is where I learned what gray water was.
Still I danced, and did the very best I could.
South Florida in the summertime. A sad time to remember.

Longest for me was several years ago when I had a really bad bout of the flu. I didn’t shower for five days. I was home from work and slept on and off about 14 hours per day. I turned a corner that fourth day and felt a bit better. On the fifth day, I couldn’t stand the smell of myself. I took a 20 minute shower. I had to go to the store because my food was running out, so that and my stench encouraged me to be presentable again.
I’ll sometimes skip a day or two over the weekend. In my 50s now and find I don’t stink as much. Two days is the max i’ll go, though.
