I know a guy who grudgingly identifies as bisexual to most, but privately says he doesn't really know what he is. He is currently, and has been for the past few years, in love with another man. He claims that his boyfriend is the only guy who has ever made his dick hard, and not for lack of trying on bi-guy's part. Gay porn or hookups with objectively attractive men generate no sexual response from him. But apparently his bf just needs to look at him the right way and he gets excited. Meanwhile, he's still very into women and finds all types of them attractive and able to turn him on without any issue. I thought maybe he has to have some kind of emotional connection for his sexuality to work with guys (he and his gay bf were quick friends first), but what does DL think of this oddity?
DL Classification needed: Gay Bi WTF?

It’s possible that he’s actually straight and his boyfriend is the one man out of however many billions on the planet that he’s attracted to.

We need to know your friend's pronouns before we can reply

Can you not use paragraph breaks?

OP, the scenario is completely banal, as are the people and the sexuality. He is bi. Was that so fucking hard to figure out? Why did you need DL input and wisdom on this matter?

I fell asleep reading your boring prose, OP. Your 'friend' sounds like an idiot and should be ignored until he reaches some sort of maturity.

In the 1980s the classification would have been Confused.

Yeah, R6.
OP, I would say he may be bi or gay but hasn't come to terms with it yet.
