Farmers blame Trump for biofuels rule they view as betrayal

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Agriculture commodity groups and some farmers expressed frustration and anger Wednesday with a rule released by the Environmental Protection Agency that they said fails to uphold a promise President Donald Trump made 12 days ago to fulfill the intent of an ethanol law passed by Congress.

Their god betrayed them? How sad.

But they'll vote for him again if they can.

by Anonymousreply 2October 17, 2019 1:48 PM

Failed to hold a promise? Who could have known?

by Anonymousreply 3October 17, 2019 1:49 PM

"But they'll vote for him again if they can."

Yup

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

Still has our vote. Didn't have nothing to do with Ben Gazzi

Leopards eating faces.

by Anonymousreply 6October 17, 2019 1:58 PM

Who keeps saying they will vote for him? They lost like 50 seats in the house.

by Anonymousreply 7October 17, 2019 1:58 PM

Maybe they will lose 100 this time.

by Anonymousreply 8October 17, 2019 2:04 PM

Even though he has ruined our lives, he is God so we'll vote for him again.

by Anonymousreply 9October 17, 2019 2:13 PM

We’ll see about that, Dee.

by Anonymousreply 10October 17, 2019 2:17 PM

And they will still line up to vote for them. Anyone who isn't wealthy and votes Republicans is simply voting against their own best interests.

by Anonymousreply 11October 17, 2019 2:23 PM

They always interview farmers on CNBC and they say while they're hurting, they think Trump is doing the right thing in fighting China, and they'd still vote for him.

by Anonymousreply 12October 17, 2019 2:28 PM

Those farmers also won't say the words "climate change", but they will acknowledge that "crazy weather" has been happening a lot more over the past few years.

R13-exactly right! It's infuriating. I live in Omaha, and occasionally I have to drive west across the state. There is a farmer with a large barn emblazoned with TRUMP facing the interstate. I always flip the barn the bird and look forward to the day I see the giant foreclosure sign alongside it.

by Anonymousreply 14October 17, 2019 3:57 PM

Not for long, lol @r14
