And what would you want to see on the new series? Where in life would you want to see each character?

At the end of it.

Nope.
Can we get another season of The Comeback instead?

I didn't watch it before, I don't see why I'd start now.

Yes, but I wouldn't enjoy it as much. I would rather watch a dysfunctional Monica and Chandler sitcom, with their dysfunctional children, with other Friends popping in now and again. But Perry is probably too fucked.

Sure if Joey is gay and fabulous!

I didn't even watch this shit the first time.

I'm sure there are exceptions, but off the top of my head, I can't think of any sitcoms that have been rebooted. There are offshoots for sure. Fraiser, Joey, etc. but I can't think of any full on reboots. I'm sure there are a few, but the format just doesn't lend itself to it (unless it is the original case - Will & Grace - which is not a reboot IMHO).

What are the alternatives? If it's a swift death, then no I would not watch. If you're going to torture me slowly, then I'd have to think about it.

R7, One Day at a Time was rebooted.

If we are talking revival (Will & Grace, Rosanne, etc.) then no. Not for this series.
Matthew Perry is a deal buster. He just isn't up for it.

OP said "reboot", given the the rest of the post he meant "revival"
by Anonymous | reply 11 | October 17, 2019 12:23 AM |
The last couple seasons of Friends sucked. So no.
But I love Will & Grace original and reboot. New season starts Thurs Oct 24.

I didn’t really watch it the first time, but I have some ideas anyway.
Ross & Rachel are divorced and hate each other.
Monica & Chandler are still married and hate each other. Monica is addicted to plastic surgery and looks like a brunette Joan Rivers. Chandler is a fat opioid addict.
Joey is a bitter, aging escort.

And Phoebe? R13
by Anonymous | reply 14 | October 17, 2019 12:30 AM |
No, I've had "sufficient"!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | October 17, 2019 12:40 AM |
Yes, I'd watch. For a season anyway. I'm watching the Conners; it tries too hard, but it still has some good moments.
The whole point of the original series was that all the characters' lives were messes. That detail can be unchanged 15 years later. (Like Seinfeld)
It might even be funnier now. When they meet at Central Perk, all the millennials would scoff at the "old people" on the couch. Ross and Rachel's kid is a brat who thinks her mom's hairstyle is out of fashion. She doesn't want to hang out with Monica/Chandler's kid, who's kind of a nerd. Phoebe and Joey are grateful they didn't have kids. Joey gives crappy romantic advice to Ross's son. Joey is now a drama teacher at a local high school.

All of them having breakfast at Windows on the World on the morning of 9/11.

Oh, I forgot Phoebe!
Phoebe is an incredibly successful music producer.
