It had nothing to do with being gay. I grew up in LA and was pretty bohemian. I found Harvard to be full of a strange mix of preppies, kids from NYC dressed in black and pointy shoes, and awkward nerdy types. Horrible weather as well.
Plus the guys weren't as attractive as my home state
