Even if you like horror, the movie is just okay, barely. The body horror is not all that. People complained Armie looked too old for Oliver in CMBYN, but tbh he seems too old for his role here too--seems more mid to late thirties. I think this is the heaviest he's been on film--dude is HUGE.

The main thing I took away from it is that if Luca really does cast Dakota as Oliver's wife in his sequel, he won't be doing her any favors. She and Armie have no chemistry, and putting her in a position to be compared to Timmy would just be cruel, the woman is so ordinary-looking compared to either one of them.

I started watching this yesterday but I had trouble with my HULU connection. It stopped playing every 10-15 minutes. I gave up on it but what I did see was not very good. The interaction between Will (Armie Hammer) and his wife was hard to watch.

Back to the topic at hand, I'm looking forward to sitting down and watching Wounds. I agree that he generally looks a little too old for the roles he plays, however, those stills of him shirtless under a car posted somewhere above have got this little Mary a little flustered! I like a big man.

I just finished watching Wounds and it was terrible. The director's previous film Under the Shadows is really good but this started out well and just went downhill.

R50 it's a movie that started off at Sundance only to be dumped 10 months later on Hulu. Of course it's terrible.

This was the movie made after Armie did a full year promoting CMBYN and in the interim filmed the RBG movie. This was done in March or something like that. Totally an unnecessary movie to have made and given the overall low budget ness of it, probably didn't pay all that much. This is what I like to think was avoiding going back home to a life which bores him. Notice he hasn't spent more than a month at home in LA for the past 3 years. Now the wife's not even accompanying him on set. Their days are numbered.

If you think someone is shit, that's all that counts. I have no desire to see his other stuff though so I don`t know how he did in those films, but I liked what he did in the aforementioned films. Besides, I highly doubt a fluff film like DOTN is gonna be an acting showcase for anybody.

He's given a few decent-to-good performances, but as I was watching the scene in Wounds where he and Dakota are breaking up I thought, DAMN, neither of these two can act. Flip that around. It was an Annapurna film. Annapurna's prestige got it to Sundance, then their finances tanked and had to sell it off. As critically divisive as wounds was I actually thought the first half was incredibly chilling. I don't know why they didn't make greater use of the nola setting though,it really would have improved the sense of atmosphere.
