The show could say that Marnie has left to visit her mother in America who was previously played by Linda Gray. Lysette Anthony had gotten a lot of support after coming out about her allegations of Harvey raping her but this recent controversy probably will do damage to her rep.

If they go forward with the flash forward, then Marnie has to stick around long enough to become besties with Misbah, with the two of them hosting nuptials (or so it appeared).

R210 It's my understanding that Misbah's absence is just temporary and ties into the character's additional medical training, probably so that she can expose Edward or something.

In any event, they left Misbah in the main titles, which generally means the character isn't gone for good and is set to return (unless you happen to be Stephanie Davis-Sinead .. lol!) .. But Ste would be another example of a character like Misbah right now - off the show, but still featured in the opening.

I've never found Tom (Ellis Hollins) to be all that good-looking, but I've enjoyed seeing him "grow up"right before our eyes over the years. And I think he's a talented comic-relief type character with good timing and delivery.

And hey, it looks like he's at least trying and has put the lock-down to good use by working out.

I expect when the show comes back, they'll throw in some shirtless scenes to thrill the girls who like their 'little' Tom.

I recognied that actor who played George's messed-up ex-boyfriend, Dean, to be actor, Paul Sloss (r), who's the husband of Dominic Treadwell-Collins (l), former Executive Producer at EastEnders.

PC Kiss's ex is way hotter than John Paul... even with his desperate needy clingy-ness. Talk about a step down. But I am glad Perfect Catch Kiss is finally getting more screen time and they're exploring his past. So glad he actually has an edge to him. R270 I think Danny Miller like Chandler Massey had some trouble adjusting to play gay characters (Chandler avoided to talk about the gay storyline for months but then he ended going to pride paredes so who knows).

I don't know if homophobia has something to do with it but Danny got a lot of praise (for his incredibly dark storyline) so maybe he adjusted to that. Like it or not his character had a lot os sex scenes or affection scenes with males. Probably right now he is just happy to have this role because his career never skyrocketed like some thought it will do (and even his looks are far from the beginning).

Maybe Will Smith can imposse a no kiss on a film, but that's not the case with soap actors. Anyway, i find disturbing the fact that many soaps hire people who have issues with playing gay for gay roles, specially when there are so many gay actors on soaps
