The casting may make sense depending on how they adapt the story. In the book (which was written back in the 1950s), the husband won't let his wife go, but lets her tide herself over with side pieces.

R26 and R27 Chris Evans would never do something like this. It’s clear he’s got weird issues with his body and won’t do nude scenes, or else he would’ve actually done a real ass-baring scene for Red Sea Diving Resort. So far he’s done body doubles for every nude scene in every movie he’s been in since Not Another Teen Movie. Which is sad since he’s got such a great body.

Definitely agree, I think the plot would work really well with a guy in his 40s starting to go schlubby from middle age agreeing to stay married as long as his hot younger wife gets to fuck on the side. In the book I believe it's two 30-something professionals who agree to it and the husband gets obsessed with the wife's sidepieces but there's no reason you can't change that a little.
