The Walking Dead - Season 10

Premieres Sunday October 6 on AMC.

I don't expect there to be huge fanfare about the premiere. It seems to have only two fans left on Datalounge.

And by the way.... who ARE these people in the trailer? I only recognize Daryl and Michonne.

Link shows the first three minutes of the season premiere.

Ten years? Isn't everyone a zombie by now?

by Anonymousreply 1October 6, 2019 4:56 AM

Would Zombie still be able to move after 10 years, surely the decomposition process would render them immobile

by Anonymousreply 2October 6, 2019 5:23 AM

AMC has a WD marathon running right now.

The show just wasn't the same after Carl died. Then Rick left. Then Maggie. Now Michonne's leaving.

It's over.

Comment on articles:

Aaron appears to be stepping up as a leader, but not as a lover.

The Musical Episode HAS to feature a singing chorus of Walkers, or they should just forget about the whole musical episode thing.

by Anonymousreply 4October 6, 2019 8:04 PM

Oh, I forgot this other Walking Dead news, or confirmation of what was already known or suspected:

[quote] The show just wasn't the same after Carl died. Then Rick left. Then Maggie. Now Michonne's leaving.

Don't forget about Jesus. And Tara. And Henry.

Oddly enough, Rosita is still alive.

She's like the Olivia DeHavilland of the Walking Dead.

by Anonymousreply 6October 6, 2019 8:08 PM

The premiere was actually pretty good.

by Anonymousreply 7October 7, 2019 5:13 AM

R7 The premieres & endings are always the best episodes.

What comes inbetween them is hit or miss.

Carol has to go off for "alone time" yet again (this time they tried to make a boat outing less repetitious. They failed.)

Now she comes back to do battle after another big loss of yet another child. So many fans said the King would die because TPTB wouldn't add to the "Carol interacts with another future dead kid" trope. The writers proved they don't care how many times they overuse a plot point to fill a script & make some $$$.

As others have said before = "Wash, rinse, repeat".

by Anonymousreply 8October 10, 2019 3:34 AM

Does anybody really watch this show anymore? The only reason I watched it in the beginning was it for Norman Reedus. But he looks so damn gross now.

by Anonymousreply 9October 10, 2019 3:36 AM

r8 Haven't watched a season in like 3 years, are they still trying to make Carol a secret badass?

by Anonymousreply 10October 10, 2019 3:46 AM

Norman is actually looking a little bit better.

Less bloated, and more talking. I think he fully realizes that he has to carry the show now.

by Anonymousreply 11October 10, 2019 6:23 AM

R10 She's now trying to be a badass archer.

by Anonymousreply 12October 10, 2019 7:13 AM

Who's Aaron fucking these days? Any gay storylines with hot gay sex scenes for him?

by Anonymousreply 13October 10, 2019 7:26 AM

Nobody at the moment R13. Wouldn't you know it would take Rick being presumed dead & the massacre of all of his boyfriends to propel him into the spotlight after several seasons of playing the Waldo version of "Where's Aaron?"

by Anonymousreply 14October 10, 2019 4:11 PM

Rick left? I lost interest after Glenn got killed off. I thought it was unnecessarily brutal and it really bothered me. I managed to watched until Rick and Negan had their little battle and didn't bother watching the next season.

by Anonymousreply 15October 13, 2019 3:12 PM

I wish I could stick with the Walking Dead. I’m just sick and tired if watching the same, old plot recycled.

Rick’s Group vs. Some Petty Dictatorship.

If this is all Robert Kirkman wants to repeat, and he’s too nihilistic to pursue a zombie cure, then I’ve had sufficient.

Yes, tyrants are bad and zombie fight porn was amusing for a while. But it’s gotten old.

by Anonymousreply 16October 13, 2019 5:08 PM

Tonight's show looks like it's going to be heavy on the Whisperers.

by Anonymousreply 17October 13, 2019 9:18 PM

Tonight's episode is about how Alpha and Beta met.

by Anonymousreply 18October 13, 2019 11:42 PM

Alpha, Beta and the Whisperers are far more interesting than anything I've seen on the Walking Dead, for like the past three or four seasons.

The show still had a lot of potential to be good, but I feel like Scott Pimple, Gale Turd, and Greg Nicotero really took the show off track.

Once you lose the fans, they're not coming back.

by Anonymousreply 19October 14, 2019 4:42 AM

Watching Alpha and Beta interact, is confusing.

It's like trying to make sense of two very mentally ill people, who think that they're sane.

by Anonymousreply 20October 14, 2019 4:52 AM

So is Beta gay?

The way he was fawning over his dead friend, was.... interesting.

And then to cut off his friend's face to use as a mask? Oh, and he's even STILL wearing his friend's t-shirt.

What a weirdo.

by Anonymousreply 21October 14, 2019 5:11 AM

oh la la....Michael Cudlitz & Josh Mcdermitt

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 22October 17, 2019 11:29 PM

Oh my, R22!

Although I'd rather see Cudlitz doing that with Andrew Lincoln or Norman Reedus.

Still, he definitely looks like he knows how to use that tongue!

by Anonymousreply 23October 17, 2019 11:31 PM

I enjoy watching Carol explore her lesbianism.

by Anonymousreply 24October 17, 2019 11:49 PM

Alpha lost a lot of weight this season. She's much thinner than she was last season.

by Anonymousreply 26October 17, 2019 11:53 PM

Why don’t the zombies notice the Whisperers? Is because of the masks? If so, why don’t more people wear them when going out foraging

by Anonymousreply 27October 18, 2019 1:02 AM

Fright bump

by Anonymousreply 28October 31, 2019 2:32 AM

What has happened to Norman. He has aged so bad. Is he getting Just for Men to color his hair?

by Anonymousreply 29October 31, 2019 3:49 AM

I’m sure he parties pretty hard when not on set.

by Anonymousreply 30November 1, 2019 5:19 AM

When does Michonne die, this season?

I can't wait for that episode.

by Anonymousreply 31November 1, 2019 5:23 AM

Blazer guy, the dykes and the two deaf bitches can all die in a grease fire. Utterly pointless characters no one gives a fuck about.

by Anonymousreply 32November 1, 2019 1:10 PM

Negan had his own Apt Pupil.

by Anonymousreply 33November 4, 2019 2:45 AM

I was waiting for that guy to offer to suck Negan's cock. You know he wanted to.

by Anonymousreply 34November 4, 2019 2:55 AM

[quote] I was waiting for that guy to offer to suck Negan's cock. You know he wanted to.

That would have been the most interesting thing to happen on the show, in over five years.

But of course, the people who run the show are complete idiots. That's why the show sucks so badly.

by Anonymousreply 35November 4, 2019 2:58 AM

Omg, that kid totally would have sucked the jizz out of Negan's cock and spread eagle for him, too.

They had to pull the obligatory "oh, who's the hottest chick" bullshit, but we all know that the kid wanted Negan inside him, quite deeply.

Their scenes together were pretty hot.

by Anonymousreply 36November 4, 2019 4:32 AM

LOL! R36

I fell asleep twice on this lousy Negan centered boring shit episode. Tired old thief stealing stuff. Tired old mother & son setup to make Negan look good. Tired setup on what Alpha does & says (to Gamma). I saw everything coming a mile away so TPTB can't really write to entertain me anymore.

I didn't know the sulking lesbo was stealing stuff (but didn't really care to solve this mystery). Daryl & Connie standing around talking about Meryl when Kelly could be near death was insensitive to say the least. Also Kelly going off on her own is also a tired trope with this show. They should always be paired up to keep this bs from being shoved down the viewers faces.

No one mentions that the show finally set Aaron up with someone new & it's a girl? I don't like the way they are using him since episode 3.

by Anonymousreply 37November 4, 2019 6:33 AM

Um..... why was Negan talking to that little kid about his "meaty sausage fingers" and "nut tapping?" Seriously, WTF?

That was creepy as hell.

Not to mention that the little story he told the kid, made zero sense whatsoever. Airplanes, steroids, etc. It meant nothing to that boy.

I know they're trying to redeem Negan, but his character should have been killed off a long time ago.

There's no redeeming him. At least not in the eyes of Michonne, Daryl, Rosita, and Eugene.

by Anonymousreply 38November 4, 2019 7:00 AM

I can't with that brat wearing the brother's hat and carrying his gun. I haven't been able to make it through an entire episode since they aged her.

by Anonymousreply 39November 4, 2019 9:26 AM

They used extra gore as filler for this episode.

by Anonymousreply 40November 4, 2019 1:47 PM

Connie drooling for Daryl's cock while ignoring her endangered sister Kelly is like Maggie drooling for Glen's cock while ignoring her endangered sister Beth.

The females on this show care more about dating/mating than life long relatives. 100% pure straight male wet dreams.

I'm guessing Kelly's days might be numbered.

by Anonymousreply 41November 4, 2019 4:10 PM

I'm actually thinking that Ezekiel's days are numbered.

They're killing him off slowly with cancer, which is actually a different type of storyline for TWD.

by Anonymousreply 42November 4, 2019 7:29 PM

New episode tonight.

by Anonymousreply 43November 10, 2019 8:48 PM

How are these zombies still moving? You'd think their limbs would have rotted off by now?

by Anonymousreply 44November 10, 2019 8:51 PM

I don't understand why Alpha doesn't kill Negan instead of listening to his crap. What can he do for the Whisperers?

by Anonymousreply 45November 11, 2019 7:34 PM

That has been the million dollar question since Negan first appeared, R45.

The show has had years, and years, and years - and the characters have had at least 1000 opportunities to kill him. And yet they still haven't.

I don't know why The Walking Dead has such a hardon for the character, and it makes ZERO sense.

At this point, he does absolutely nothing on the show.

by Anonymousreply 46November 12, 2019 3:20 AM

Programming note:

Avi Nash and Chandler Riggs will be the guests tonight on Talking Dead!

I love both of them, and I have a crush on Avi.

by Anonymousreply 47November 18, 2019 12:44 AM

Dang, Siddiq looks so different with short hair on TTD. I like his long hair

Chandler looks good with his haircut.

by Anonymousreply 48November 18, 2019 1:56 AM

Who cut up Daryl’s back? The saviors?

I haven’t watched in like 2 years so I’m out of the loop.

He’s got a dog! That’s cool.

by Anonymousreply 49November 18, 2019 1:58 AM

The Walking Dead lost me when they kept Negan alive. I knew they were going to try to turn him into a good guy. The fanboys who love him may have forgotten what he did, but I sure as hell haven’t. I remember it like it was yesterday. I want to see him die a slow, agonizing death, and I’m not watching the show again until he’s dead.

by Anonymousreply 50November 18, 2019 2:03 AM

So Negan is bad again? He’s joined with the whisperers? I also can’t stand that fucker. I checked out when he came aboard.

by Anonymousreply 51November 18, 2019 2:09 AM

For R49: about 2 seasons ago Daryl and Michonne crossed paths with a wackjob woman who had a bunch of semi-feral kids brainwashed. The kids had our heroes tied up and were cutting/torturing them. FYI: Michonne katana-ed those fuckers when she got loose.

by Anonymousreply 52November 18, 2019 2:29 AM

Thanks!

by Anonymousreply 53November 18, 2019 2:37 AM

Good bye Avi!

by Anonymousreply 54November 18, 2019 3:37 AM

Noooooooooo!!!!!

Why do they always kill off the hot guys???? (And the doctors)

Yet stupid asshole Negan is still there. And fucking Eugene.

Fucking show.

by Anonymousreply 55November 18, 2019 3:47 AM

R51 I haven't really watched the show in several seasons, but even with that, I can assure you that this is Negan's redemption song to take out or debilitate the Whisperers at their core.

And the Whisperers aren't immediately killing Negan because he could be a potentially awesome asset, if twisted towards them. But they're idiots that can't tell the history of Negan means that he's far far far more trouble than he's worth (and only the barest of worth to the good guys).

by Anonymousreply 56November 18, 2019 3:49 AM

Do the Whisperers even know Negan's history with the Saviors, R56?

by Anonymousreply 57November 18, 2019 4:05 AM

I am so hot for Avi Nash, and I can't explain why. He's such a sexy guy.

I love(d) his long hair, his crooked nose, and his beautiful skin tone. Love, love, love.

He looks great with short hair, too.

I'm so pissed they killed him off. Idiots.

by Anonymousreply 58November 18, 2019 5:19 AM

I didn’t see Avi’s death coming. I hated watching him being strangled to death; I did know, however, that the strangler was a strange dude and perhaps a bad actor.

by Anonymousreply 59November 19, 2019 2:38 AM

Yes, I will miss Avi too.

by Anonymousreply 60November 19, 2019 2:53 AM

[quote] I did know, however, that the strangler was a strange dude and perhaps a bad actor.

On Talking Dead, they showed previews for next week's show, and that weird guy ONCE AGAIN made a gay "joke"/remark about him and Siddiq.

The first one was earlier in the season, when made an off-handed comment about him having a crush on Siddiq.

Then again next week, when Rosita comes looking for Siddiq, he tells her that they're secretly seeing each other. LOL.

WTF is up with that?

by Anonymousreply 61November 19, 2019 5:25 AM

I actually think that the other "doctor" had a crush on Siddiq.

The ending scene of this last episode, showed him speaking to Siddiq in a very ... loving kind of way. He spoke softly, and even put his hand on Siddiq's shoulder. Siddiq was going to kill him when he realized that the guy was one of the Whisperers, but he ended up killing Siddiq first. Interestingly, he said that "I didn't want to do this. Not this way."

I truly think that he was gay and had a crush on Siddiq.

Another interesting little thing is that he's fluent in Spanish. Next episode will show him conversing with Rosita in Spanish. I thought that was pretty cool.

by Anonymousreply 62November 19, 2019 7:59 PM

The guy who plays Dante (Juan Javier Cardenas) is super hot.

I'd love to see him hook up with Siddiq. Too bad that's not going to happen now.

Plus, they are obviously going to kill him off soon.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 63November 19, 2019 9:27 PM

I want Dante in me, quite deeply!

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 64November 19, 2019 9:28 PM

And the end of Dante too. The father does have some anger issues to work out.

by Anonymousreply 65November 24, 2019 3:12 AM

I am pleasantly surprised at how much I have enjoyed this season. It's actually watchable again!

What a bummer about Dante. He's so damned handsome. Love his muscular body.

Father Gabriel went nuts! I guess Rosita drove him to it.

Oh, and when did Carol lose all common sense?

by Anonymousreply 66November 25, 2019 6:37 AM

The new Walking Dead show premiering in 2020, actually looks pretty good.

I'm surprised that Julia Ormond is joining the cast. What a shocker.

Between Samantha Morton and Julia Ormond, Walking Dead is getting some big name British actresses.

by Anonymousreply 67November 25, 2019 6:47 AM

I used to joke about it, but Rosita really is becoming the town slut!

First she was with Abraham, then jumped to Deanna's son Spencer, then she jumped to Father Gabriel, then she fucked Siddiq and had a kid, and in the previews for the second half of the season, she's kissing Eugene! And if I recall correctly, she was even flirting with Tara.

What a whore!

by Anonymousreply 68November 25, 2019 6:58 AM

Redemption for Negan? Oh hell to the no!!!

by Anonymousreply 69November 25, 2019 8:42 AM

Is Eugene Finally getting some? Lol. Wasn’t he in love with Rosita? I guess she did run out of guys, but good for him I guess.

I can’t really blame her for fucking around- I would, too. The only dick she had better never jump is Negan. That’d be too fucked up.

by Anonymousreply 70November 25, 2019 2:06 PM

The mid season finale was a big letdown for me. It reminded me of the cemetery scene last season (switched out for a cave). Most of the 7 were a part of that "surrounded by walkers" stunt as well. it seemed like a rerun to me. Carol going after Alpha (she just keeps meeting her in random places? We're supposed to keep buying this bullshit?) & getting the group in danger doesn't seem like the smart character that we've watched for 9 seasons in the past. Daryl hears nothing but silence until he falls into the cave with all of the walkers? Bullshit on that too.

So the show is back to having no doctors again. That is just so repetitive! Enid was killed off so they could do the stupid Dante stunt. I knew when they killed off the 10 on the pikes that there would be very few deaths for this half of the season. Other than Siddiq, the oversized cast is still intact.

The de-gayed Aaron has his orbit filled with females now = Gracie, Mary, Michonne, Carol & now comforting Rosita. He talked to Daryl briefly so there is that.

Gabe can kill for Siddiq but not for Glenn & Abe? How messed up is that? If TPTB are going to go for consistency then Gabe should kill Negan when he sees him again.

Kang is repeating her own plots & other tropes that were established before she took over the helm. Including Dante's death & Siddiq's, the last dozen deaths (10 on pikes) have all been at the hands of humans & not the walkers. Nothing new to see here. I hope season 11 is the show's last (& Fear's next season is it's final one as well).

by Anonymousreply 71November 25, 2019 5:25 PM

[quote] The de-gayed Aaron has his orbit filled with females now = Gracie, Mary, Michonne, Carol & now comforting Rosita. He talked to Daryl briefly so there is that.

Haha, YES!

And the only indication that he was ever gay, was in his little story telling time, when he told his daughter about the time when he and "this guy he was in love with" went on a road trip through Northern California.

FUCK YOU, WALKING DEAD! Goddamned cowards.

by Anonymousreply 72November 25, 2019 6:14 PM

Walking Dead: World Beyond.

All they had to do was describe the show as "female led," and I've decided that I'll never watch this shit.

I am SO fucking tired of SJW bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 73November 25, 2019 7:10 PM

R73 Wasn't Fear a female led spinoff with Madison?

by Anonymousreply 74November 25, 2019 7:20 PM

Nope, R74.

It was an ensemble cast with Madison and Travis as the lead characters, Nick and Alicia, Daniel, Ophelia, and Strand as supporting cast members.

I stopped watching after Glen and Abraham met Lucille. The first two seasons of this show were incredible and it went downhill from there. I hung in for too long.

by Anonymousreply 76November 25, 2019 7:53 PM

The show runners have resorted to having Aaron only talk about his love interests.

He can no longer actually HAVE a love interest.

"This one time, in band camp...."

Fuck them.

by Anonymousreply 77November 25, 2019 11:17 PM

Is anyone excited for the second half of season 10?

by Anonymousreply 78February 4, 2020 7:32 PM

Pull the plug on this shitshow already. A dignified exit would have been six seasons ago.

by Anonymousreply 79February 4, 2020 8:13 PM

I loved that show for 7 seasons.

But I got sick of it repeating itself. I’m glad to hear that Michonne and Daryl are still alive and kicking, though.

by Anonymousreply 80February 4, 2020 9:01 PM

They should have ended with Season 10, just like Supernatural.

by Anonymousreply 81February 4, 2020 10:33 PM

TWD returns on the 2/23/20.

Anyone here watching the 8 episodes left in season 10?

by Anonymousreply 82February 20, 2020 12:42 AM

It returns this Sunday, R82.

AMC has been showing a mini-marathon on late nights, for the past month.

I'll tune in. This season has actually been pretty good.

by Anonymousreply 83February 20, 2020 12:45 AM

I’m beyond ready for the Whisperers to go. I don’t like any of them.

by Anonymousreply 84February 20, 2020 1:08 AM

The show returns tonight!

by Anonymousreply 85February 23, 2020 6:49 PM

Apparently, there was some kind of sex scene between Negan and Alpha.

EW!

by Anonymousreply 86February 24, 2020 5:01 AM

2 characters are in trouble at the end.

How does the DL feel about that?

I hated Carol during the entire episode.

They have also done the cave thing to death in these last 2 episodes.

by Anonymousreply 87February 24, 2020 6:38 AM

Negan has a surprisingly nice ass. If that was in fact, his ass.

Maybe it was a body double, because his butt always looked flat as a pancake.

by Anonymousreply 88February 24, 2020 8:17 AM

Wow you're right, R87.

What in the hell happened to Carol? The writers turned her into some whiny creature.

I understand that she's mad about Henry, but she can be angry without being stupid.

In the past, she was never stupid, but now the writers have taken her back to season one, and made her weak and stupid again.

Seeing Carol being stupid and weak was hard to watch, as was Daryl’s face when she was begging him to say it was all her fault. He looked heartbroken over the loss of the deaf woman and his dear friend being a complete fool.

Why do all the villains in the Walking Dead have weird speech patterns?

I love that Gabriel has become a badass and Rosita has remained one.

Is Maggie ever coming back?

by Anonymousreply 94March 2, 2020 5:26 AM

I don't need to see naked Alpha any more. Please!!!

Beta creeps me the fuck out. He is one of the scariest characters ever on the show, because he reminds me of a serial killer.

by Anonymousreply 95March 3, 2020 5:03 AM

“The Walking Dead” spoilers below!

If Ryan Hurst is around, you Beta watch out.

In the latest episode of “The Walking Dead,” Hurst’s Whisperer villain, Beta, broke into Alexandria in an attempt to take out traitor Gamma (Thora Birch). Instead, he ended up killing Laura (Lindsley Register).

But during the episode, there was confusion among fans whether Laura, the neck tattoo-wearing former Savior, was actually dead after her clash with Beta. Her demise was later confirmed on “Talking Dead” during the In Memoriam segment.

Register, who’s been on the show since Season 7, didn’t have a guest spot on “The Walking Dead” after-show, which regularly features interviews with characters after they die. Some fans were not pleased.

The actor retweeted a number of fans who sent well wishes, including many saying she deserved better and wondering why she wasn’t on “Talking Dead.”

Register tweeted her thanks and posted a video on Instagram, which shows her visibly affected, saying, “I just wanted to say a quick thank you for all of the support and the well wishes, and holy crap it’s an emotional time.”

The actor acknowledged that it’s a “crazy time” for her because “The Walking Dead” has been a major part of her life, and said she’s thankful to have been a part of such a huge fandom.

Considering that “The Walking Dead” subtly gave Carl (Chandler Riggs) a zombie bite from some rando walkers in the woods back in Season 8, no one’s safe, which is why there’s still a question of whether Connie (Lauren Ridloff) and Magna (Nadia Hilker) were killed offscreen in the mid-Season 10 premiere.

But it took more than a random zombie bite to take out Laura. She went down against one of the biggest villains on the show.

“I’m just trying to say thank you guys for all of the love. Wow, I’m just really feeling it,” Register said in the Instagram video.

Spoiler Alert!

The 3-15-20 episode offs Gamma (by Beta's hand), Earl (by Judith's hand) & Alpha (by Negan's hand with Carol as the mastermind behind it).

I wish they had kept Gamma longer but everybody predicted Earl's death this season.

Alpha? I don't care one way or another about her.

by Anonymousreply 97March 16, 2020 1:37 AM

I was so happy to Alpha's zombie head roll out of that bag!

Quite frankly, I was getting sick of her, and her very exaggerated accent.

So what kind of deal did Negan make with Carol? I wonder...

by Anonymousreply 98March 16, 2020 8:50 PM

Of all the fucking nights for Talking Dead to go dark!!!!!

I wanted to see Samantha Morton on the couch.

Chris Hardwick' audience isn't THAT big. They could have done a scaled back version of the show.

Assholes.

I didn't care for the episode but I've never liked Michonne to begin with.

She hardly ever says anything & just has stinkface for days on end. I could never believe Rick would go for someone like that.

It was a jump the shark moment for me.

The cartoon deer didn't help matters either.

by Anonymousreply 103March 23, 2020 3:00 AM

Agreed, R103.

Michonne had one emotion: STANK FACE.

Good riddance.

The show is actually much better without both Rick and Michonne.

by Anonymousreply 104March 23, 2020 3:12 AM

Rick the chatty dad seemed like more of a fit with chatty one time mom Carol (& they both knew each other if I recall= weren't their kids schoolmates?).

Daryl the strong silent stinkface outdoors, man should've been with Michonne the strong silent stinkface outdoorswoman.

Daryl & Carol are like siblings & I thought Rick & Michonne were the same way.

I'm glad she is gone. I think the show will improve without her. I don't miss Rick & Carl at all. The spotlight was on the Grimes family too much in my opinion.

With Daryl & Carol the last originals now, it makes the show more believable that no one can last as long as they would hope.

by Anonymousreply 105March 23, 2020 3:38 AM

I don't mind 'the Grimes' being gone, but I think the timing of things sucked and always had more to do with productions decisions than good creative choices. I would have been fine with Carl dying in his teens or twenties (depending on timejumps), for example, but I'd have liked him to have influence on his sister. I would be totally fine with the concept of 'Rick Grimes' being just a spirit that influenced many survivors as they try to stay as living beings in a world that wants them dead.

Instead there's all sorts of awkward events and half-measures like Rick-dead-not-dead. I do think the current showrunners are doing better, but its more in choosing to do their own new version 1.5 show that's tangentially connected to the time before, than being a more fluid continuation.

Its fine that anyone *can* die though. That should be very important to the world, even. It should be more about how everyone is the collective walking dead that are trying to be alive. From that initial season 1 trailer camp that's trying to reach other survivors, to the current several small but growing nations. I'm good with that.

Show also has a problem with character regression. Writers not knowing how to turn a good character great without doing so rather accidentally.

by Anonymousreply 106March 23, 2020 4:50 AM

I loved the Michonne trip out scene. That was freakin' awesome!

Does anyone know how to get a hold of Jimson Weed?

Damn, I want to try it.

by Anonymousreply 107March 23, 2020 4:53 AM

R107 The flashbacks were the best part of the show. I knew Virgil would be some boring crazy junk to tolerate.

None of folks Michonne rescued (5 in all) were any type of interesting tv film material.

So she spares Virgil's life but took out a bunch of kids at one point?

What kind of morality is that?

by Anonymousreply 108March 23, 2020 4:58 AM

For the first time in about four seasons, I actually think that the show could go in a meaningful direction. Like, there's a purpose to it.

The past four seasons were mindless wars and pointless deaths.

by Anonymousreply 109March 23, 2020 5:01 AM

Talking Dead via video conference!

Chris Hardwick, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danai Gurira, and Scott Pimple.

Chris has a nice house.

by Anonymousreply 110March 23, 2020 5:03 AM

HELP!

What in the hell was that big group at the end of the episode?

I heard horses.

by Anonymousreply 111March 23, 2020 5:15 AM

That was really nostalgic, seeing Andrea, Rick, Carl, Maggie, and Glen again.

Makes you really miss the early years of the show.

by Anonymousreply 112March 23, 2020 8:31 AM

Michonne got the best sendoff of any character, thus far. Including Rick.

This was a really good episode.

by Anonymousreply 113March 23, 2020 9:21 AM

No idea who the big group of people at the end of the episode are?

Not even from the comic books?

by Anonymousreply 114March 23, 2020 4:16 PM

I'm assuming that DL viewership of TWD, is down to zero.

by Anonymousreply 115March 23, 2020 10:23 PM

Any updates on the upcoming Rick Grimes stand-alone trilogy of movies that they made such a big deal about last year? Dead in the water? IMDB still says in pre-production.

by Anonymousreply 116March 24, 2020 5:20 AM

Everything is on hold right now, R116.

Even the already completed limited series with the young cast, has been postponed.

It was set to premiere on AMC, but they decided to suspend the premiere.

Not sure why.

by Anonymousreply 117March 24, 2020 5:26 AM

The Walking Dead is ending its season sooner than expected due to the coronavirus crisis.

“Current events have unfortunately made it impossible to complete post-production of The Walking Dead Season 10 finale,” an AMC rep tells TVLine in a statement. “So the current season will end with its 15th episode on April 5. The planned finale will appear as a special episode later in the year.”

The news comes just days after AMC announced that it was similarly delaying the launch of its third TWD series — The Walking Dead: World Beyond — until later this year, also because of the coronavirus outbreak.

World Beyond was slated to premiere Sunday, April 12 at 10/9c — directly after the now-postponed Season 10 finale of The Walking Dead.

The spinoff centers on the first generation of survivors raised after the zombie apocalypse and stars Alexa Mansour (The Resident) and Aliyah Royale (The Red Line) as a pair of young heroines. “Two sisters, along with two friends, leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead, on an important quest,” according to the show’s official description. The cast also includes Annet Mahendru (The Americans), Nico Tortorella (Younger) and Emmy winner Julia Ormond (Temple Grandin).

Breaking news. The new season of Walking Dead will be broacast live and will be called "2020"

by Anonymousreply 119March 26, 2020 5:44 AM

It really pisses me off that AMC is going to end the season early, and air the finale later in the year.

I fucking watched this entire season, just to have them dick around at the end.

FUCK YOU, AMC!!!!

by Anonymousreply 120March 30, 2020 1:44 AM

it's just the same old shit over and over again...just more zombies walking around the woods. That's gonna be what the final episode will be...

I partner watches this shit show...

"'The Walking Dead' Reminds Us Not To Rely On Celebrities In A Crisis"

During the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, celebrities are preaching from their bubble baths, crowdsourcing us regulars for quarantine advice, and singing with Gal Gadot in their mansions. Well, “Imagine” what it would be like to actually rely on them in a crisis?

A hot take courtesy of “The Walking Dead”: It wouldn’t be awesome.

In the latest episode of the AMC series, Beta (Ryan Hurst) was apparently revealed to be a famous country singer named Half Moon.

Yes, Beta ― now the primary antagonist on the show following the death of Alpha (Samantha Morton), and a guy whose claim to fame is killing his own followers ― is a celebrity.

He apparently has a secret hideout and listens to his own songs. It’s very much the same vibe as Kanye West inviting Aziz Ansari to his house and playing his own music.

“These beats are dope,” Beta is probably thinking.

Beta plays his music loud enough to attract zombies, apparently putting on a concert as he looks out at the undead. It’s like his apocalypse version of the Instagram Live concerts of today.

When asked what’s hiding under Beta’s zombie mask, Hurst previously told Entertainment Weekly, “I can’t tell you too much about that. We’ve been dropping Easter eggs here and there, maybe on this show, maybe on another show that’s connected to it, but I’ll sort of keep dangling that carrot and let people wait for the end of this season to see what happens.”

Indeed, a scene in “Fear the Walking Dead” appeared to show Hurst’s face on a record cover.

Elsewhere in the episode, Daryl (Norman Reedus) learns Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) killed Alpha, and Carol (Melissa McBride) has a crisis in which she hallucinates Alpha. But the moral of the story is: Don’t trust celebrities in a zombie apocalypse.

If you want more proof beyond “The Walking Dead” universe, just check out what happens to Al Roker at the press junket in “Zombieland 2.” And don’t let it happen in your neck of the woods.

So Beta used to be a country music star?

by Anonymousreply 123March 31, 2020 1:33 AM

Apparently, R123.

by Anonymousreply 124March 31, 2020 3:14 AM

Has anyone here seen episode 15 besides me?

Spoiler alert!

Aaron & Alden get captured by Beta & the Whisperers.

by Anonymousreply 125April 4, 2020 9:29 PM

Spoiler Alert!

Greg IG had a post awhile back where a corpse was shown to be devoured by walkers.

The corpse had on the same exact clothes that Aaron was wearing when Beta & the Whisperers captured him & Alden.

Folks are now saying that Aaron will get Father Gabriel's death on the tower (from the comics).

by Anonymousreply 126April 4, 2020 9:49 PM

bump

by Anonymousreply 127April 5, 2020 7:23 AM

Chris Hardwick is getting hotter with age.

by Anonymousreply 128April 5, 2020 10:04 AM

[quote] Folks are now saying that Aaron will get Father Gabriel's death on the tower (from the comics).

I truly don't understand why they keep firing the best characters on the show.

And yet Rosita and Eugene are STILL alive!!!!

WTF?

by Anonymousreply 129April 5, 2020 10:08 AM

I have no idea what's going on with this series anymore. I feel like I've missed an episode or two but know I haven't.

by Anonymousreply 130April 5, 2020 10:28 AM

Father Gabriel should have been killed off horribly at least 3 seasons ago. Pointless horrible character.

by Anonymousreply 131April 5, 2020 11:58 AM

There's a Walking Dead marathon on today, if anyone wants to catch up.

by Anonymousreply 132April 5, 2020 10:15 PM

My new favorite character is Princess!

She is such a breath of fresh air.

Walking Dead doesn't have a lot of big personalities, so the addition of her to the show is awesome. And that character has so much heart.

I'm just so bummed we don't get to meet the actors in front of a live audience.

"'The Walking Dead' season 10 finale will show the long-awaited return of Maggie"

AMC debuted the opening minutes for the upcoming delayed season 10 finale of "The Walking Dead" Sunday night and it teases the return of Lauren Cohan as fan-favorite Maggie Rhee.

Rhee is seen finding and reading the letter from Carol which was mentioned on season 10, episode 14. It tells her about the Whisperer problem and the deaths of Jesus, Tara, Enid, and Henry.

Rhee was last seen on "TWD" on season nine, episode five.

In October 2019, Cohan surprised fans at New York Comic Con to announce she'll return to the show as a series regular on season 11.

Showrunner Angela Kang previously teased the possibility to Insider that we could see Cohan return at some point sooner on season 10.

AMC delayed the "Walking Dead" season 10 finale amid the coronavirus pandemic after it couldn't complete post-production on the episode. It will air at a later date this year.

I'm surprised that Maggie's back.

I guess she needed the work, since her ABC series flopped.
