Everybody? My friends are still cautious about barebacking, unless they are in a long-term relationship. In today’s world you never know what new disease will be diagnosed. Society was shocked, scared, and filled with trepidation when AIDS was first diagnosed. We have become laxed, because of PrEP. I believe it’s just a matter of time until a new disease is found. Most have not, and most sexually active gay men have been exposed to and may carry oncogenic strains of HPV (not to be confused with the strains that cause benign warts). I think the recommendation is yo get it BEFORE you start having sex. But you could ask your doctor to run some tests and see if it would still work or if you've already been exposed.

Actually, the recommendation is for everyone to get it even if they’ve had sex. There are many types of HPV virus, only some of which cause cancer. Just because your body has been exposed to some types does not mean the vaccine will no longer work for you.

The vaccine specifically stops the cancerous types.
