Was no one else flooded or stranded today? It was quite insane!

I actually Houston, but I couldn't live there now because of all the bad weather. They've had major flooding almost every year for awhile now.

Just like Harvey, there was so much rain that Interstate 10, the connection from Houston to the east coast, was flooded and closed near Beaumont. Areas in Southeast Texas were measuring 20-30 inches of rain. Fortunately, due to a recent heat wave, the ground was dry and absorbed the rain. Otherwise, the flooding would have affected most of the area.

It stormed for hours this afternoon, with close lightning strikes. I was able to stay inside and even took a nap. My sympathies to anyone caught on the road today.
