This is awful
Gay couple attacked and held hostage in church, in an attempt to turn them straight

He’s gay and he believes being gay is a sin?
What the fuck is wrong with him?
Nothing justifies what they did to him, but until he understands that his religion is at the very core of why they assaulted him and his BF, he can’t expect anything to change.
My advice to him is: Ditch your medieval beliefs, renounce your family, and get the hell out of town.

Hate for gay men (and lesbians) is real and still exists. Where's the Human Rights Campaign, now? Where are our allies? Our gay rights start at home, and despite the strides we've made publicly it's fragile and not guaranteed.
But the trannies and genderqueers will talk about this man's white male cis privilege.

Of course he thinks his gayness is a sin. That ideology has been drummed into him since birth. He needs to be sent somewhere and deprogrammed and that church needs to be shut down.

R2, the people who are attacking trans people are attacking gays, too. They're called Republicans. Fight the real enemy.
You're just a troll hijacking a thread to make it about trans people

He needs to sue the church civilly or criminally.

@r4 Don’t be naive to think it’s only Republicans. This happens frequently in charismatic black and Hispanic churches.
