OP, I can't link to the article, but a 2006 Washington Post story on the film said the following about the home movie Brody watched:
[quote] Coulter and Aflfeck worked on re-creating a 16mm home movie that Reeves had made in his backyard, a demonstration of his ā physical abilitiesā for a promoter who was interested in hiring him to do some corny wrestling appearances.
The article is "Coulter Assaying the Man Behind the Man of Steel".
