Jane Lynch Teaming With Cyndi Lauper For Netflix Comedy Series: “It’s A ‘Golden Girls’ For Today”
Dear Lord! Did Jane Lynch Lose All of Her Money in a Ponzi Scheme or Something???

Fuck off, worse than Adolf.

Seems more like a "Golden Girls for yesterday"

Lauper really looks like she has her act together (sarcasm). I just hope that Lauper doesn't try to incorporate pro wrestling into her new sitcom.

Jane just won an Emmy for best guest actress in a comedy for her performance on Mrs. Maisel

The Golden Girls of Wrestling.

Cyndi Lauper is wonderful. I love her .

I'm assuming that one of the topics will be the heartbreak of psoriasis.

Will there be an elderly lesbian character? I yearn to hear about the intricacies of senior scissoring.

What's a Ponzi scheme?

I cannot, for a second, see Cyndi Lauper as an actress let alone a comedic actress.

Wonder if Cyndi is going to sing a song at the end of each episode.
This is going to be a disaster.

OP, regular roles on tv don’t come along every day, especially not for (almost) 60 year old actresses. She’d be crazy not to take this. If you haven’t noticed, she’s only been doing guest spots and recurring roles for the last few years.

I hope eczema is not contagious.

Maybe, she lost a lot of money in her divorce.

R13 I know. I just think that Jane should have gotten a better gig than this. She is so funny and so talented (Lauper? Not so much).
R15 She very well may have.
I'll try to keep a good thought, I'll hope that the show is great.

I’ve always liked Cyndi Lauper. Get past the clothes and make-up and she seems like a very sweet, down-to-earth, and insightful person.

I'll be watching with my fingers crossed. Has Lauper done any credible acting?

Lauper won an Emmy for her guest starring role on Mad About You.

R18 That is a good question. I could see her pulling off a “Mask” or “Burning Bed” type of dramatic role.

Jane Lynch was a guest host on The Talk yesterday. Her personality is nothing if not off-putting. Her energy was so harsh, I no longer can look at her performances with an open mind or heart.

Dyke, ya know.

I started (and then quickly stopped!) listening to all my favorite stand-ups when the podcasting thing started.
Some of these people are really grating in big doses. But good in small ones.

I think a Netflix sitcom is a good next move for Jane. I like her and hope she finds a vehicle that works for her.

Isn't she still the host of Hollywood Game Night?

Yes, Jane Lynch can come across and both harsh and clumsy.
I will always love her as Mrs. Frank Bohner, though.
