Which one is the best?
Big Mac vs Whopper
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 29, 2019 8:31 PM |
Whopper has the better taste due to flame broiling.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | September 12, 2019 1:37 AM |
Whopper, though I no longer eat meat.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | September 12, 2019 1:39 AM |
Which one is less disgusting?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | September 12, 2019 1:47 AM |
I think both are tasty.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | September 12, 2019 1:47 AM |
I love hamburgers, which is why I am not impressed by either.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | September 12, 2019 1:49 AM |
Big Mac tastes great, but kinda pricey.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | September 12, 2019 6:19 AM |
I've never had either. I occasionally enjoy a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, though.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 12, 2019 6:21 AM |
I loved Whoppers much better than Big Macs, but our town hasn't had a Burger King in about a decade or more.
Of course, my tastes have completely changed so I might hate it now. Lord knows I avoid McDonald's completely.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 12, 2019 7:43 AM |
Big Mac for me. I find the meat in a Whopper too dry.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 12, 2019 7:45 AM |
I used to love Big Macs when I was a kid. Had one for the first time in many years. All I could taste was salt. It was disgusting. But I think they might have changed the formula over the years. Like maybe the used real meat back in the 70s.
There's an old Greek family-owned diner in deep Hollywood, right next to a Jon's supermarket. Best burger and fries I've had in years. I try not to eat them very often, so now I only eat them now at this place. I go maybe every six weeks.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 12, 2019 8:11 AM |
The smell of Burger King is nauseating.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 12, 2019 8:14 AM |
None of them can match a nice homemade hamburger. A sesame seed bun, slightly toasted. Ground check, seasoned with salt (lightly), pepper (heavily) and a couple of shakes of Tabasco. Some shredded cheddar cheese melted on top, a piece of crisp bacon, a little catsup and mayonnaise, and a crisp piece of iceberg lettuce. Stand over the kitchen sink when you eat, to catch the drips.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 12, 2019 8:17 AM |
Comparing a Big Mac to a Whopper is like comparing apples and oranges. They're not the same thing.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 12, 2019 8:30 AM |
Both are garbage.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 12, 2019 10:12 AM |
The Impossible Whopper is pretty good, R2.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | September 12, 2019 10:22 AM |
Junk v junk. And not the hot kind of junk.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 12, 2019 10:26 AM |
R10, name of the Greek diner?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 12, 2019 11:29 AM |
Big Mac is really good.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | September 12, 2019 8:50 PM |
I like both but have been going for Whoppers (or more specifically, Whopper Jr with cheese) lately.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 12, 2019 8:56 PM |
I always wonder how you can go to any McD's or BK and the burgers taste the same no matter which store you go to. I mean, I can walk into any McD anywhere and always get that same distinctive flavor, and the same for the BK. Do they season their meat with scientific precision at every location, so you always get that same Big Mac/Whopper flavor? I find that amazing.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 12, 2019 8:58 PM |
I prefer the Big Mac to the Whopper
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 12, 2019 8:58 PM |
Always thought that they were both much too large and have always grown bored when eating them, usually leaving at least half.
Who needs to eat a burger with 600+ calories in it?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | September 12, 2019 9:04 PM |
R22 Me, I do!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 12, 2019 9:07 PM |
I would say the Whopper is better, less room to hide. Big Mac has the extra bun and the Thousand Island dressing (special sauce). If you put Thousand Island dressing in the Whopper, it's probably better than the Big Mac.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 12, 2019 9:17 PM |
That is a good point R24.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 12, 2019 9:18 PM |
Big Mac every time, though I haven't had a Whopper in a minute... though I have had the Impossible Whopper, and while that was fine, it held nothing on a Big Mac... so I'll have to test that out with meat.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | September 12, 2019 9:23 PM |
Shit vs Turd?
Pus vs Mucus?
Farts vs Burps?
Hepatitis A vs Scabies?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | September 12, 2019 9:35 PM |
Burger King has sucked for years now. The employees don't give a fuck and the food tastes like it. The last few times I've eaten there, the burgers tasted like burnt grill and they forgot something (like CHEESE, for fuck's sake).
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 13, 2019 4:21 PM |
They're both salty processed crap, but if you get them to hold the mayonnaise on the Whopper and put mustard on it yourself, I think it's a bit healthier. That "flame broiled" taste is artificial seasoning, however, and it does a number to my stomach and I burp "smokey grill" the rest of the day.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 13, 2019 4:27 PM |
Yes R29! It has an awful chemical taste that I can't stand.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 13, 2019 4:30 PM |
It's been years since I've been to a Burger King. Do they still make you order "Whopper with Cheese" in order to get cheese? Or is cheese automatically on the Whopper? As a kid, it bugged me that I was "tricked" into not getting cheese on my burger.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 13, 2019 4:32 PM |
Yes, R31 they still do that bullshit.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | September 13, 2019 4:35 PM |
Whopper is better but McDonald’s fries are better.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 13, 2019 4:36 PM |
R17, I think r10 is referring to Paro's Family Restaurant 1117 N Hobart Blvd off Santa Monica Blvd.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 13, 2019 4:53 PM |
Whopper. I love me a Whopper - but as said above, BK is a dying business. Like many failed business, they have been sold and flipped through too many “investor” groups who have no long term interests and destroy businesses.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 13, 2019 5:05 PM |
R34, thanks! I work in Hollywood and always looking for some new lunch places.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 13, 2019 6:58 PM |
The Burger King original chicken sandwich (oblong bun) is very good, IMO. (McChicken is good as well, usually on the "value menu.")
I prefer BK French fries to McDonald's. They're a little bit thicker-cut.
Over all, though, I think I prefer McD's.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 13, 2019 7:17 PM |
Such conni-sewers you all are! Gore-mondes, as it were.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 13, 2019 7:30 PM |
I like BK's fries, too. They re-vamped them a couple of years ago and they're definitely better. McD's has that shamrock shake, though. Can't beat that.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 13, 2019 9:32 PM |
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 14, 2019 12:13 AM |
Burger King fries are one of the worst around. McDonald's, Jack in the Box, In N out are much better!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | September 14, 2019 12:56 AM |
Chick Fil A fries are so hit and miss. I’ve had them where they were unbelievably good and I’ve had them bland as hell.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | September 14, 2019 3:45 PM |
Since Bk made their fries thicker, I don’t like them as much. But they are crunchy - which I like. Mcdonalds are better though. Hate Chick Fil A fries. FYI, They are flat potatoes not fries.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | September 14, 2019 4:29 PM |
BK changes its fries like every 2 years and they always suck. McDonald’s fries are the best fries in the entire world.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | September 14, 2019 7:51 PM |
McDonald's fries are the worst fries in the entire world, they taste of sugar and chemicals. Beyond vile.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | September 15, 2019 9:03 AM |
R45, you need to improve your taste.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | September 15, 2019 6:33 PM |
Whenever I order big macs, I have two, as one isn't filling enough
by Anonymous | reply 47 | September 15, 2019 9:55 PM |
The Big Mac is tastier.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | September 19, 2019 4:20 PM |
I gave up on Burger King. The menus always showcase and promote weird, unappealing combo crap and godawful treats. Their Whopper meat doesn't even taste like hamburger and the bun is sweet (yuck) so it's probably loaded with HFCS so no thank you. I'll eat a Big Mac 1-3 times per decade but I've always liked Quarter Pounders w/cheese.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | September 19, 2019 9:42 PM |
I prefer Wendy's.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | September 19, 2019 9:48 PM |
R47 Try a Double Quarter Pounder with Mac sauce, and dressed as a Big Mac. That'll fill you up! More flavour too. OP, I once liked BK a long time ago, but it has changed so much, it's not even discernible as the same burger.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | September 19, 2019 9:59 PM |
The Big Mac is like chomping on a porttal to the 70s if I do say.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | September 22, 2019 4:33 AM |
I like the Sourdough Jack.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | September 27, 2019 3:34 AM |
Neither, they're both terrible!!!
by Anonymous | reply 54 | September 27, 2019 3:36 AM |
It's comparing apples and oranges.
They're too different to compare.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | September 27, 2019 4:19 AM |
I just had a spicy chicken combo at Wendy with $5 coupon, otherwise it would have cost $10, great deal!
by Anonymous | reply 56 | September 28, 2019 10:26 PM |
I like a Big Mac better. I tried one without the bun and it wasn't too bad.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | September 28, 2019 10:36 PM |
I wish the big Mac was bigger. It's too small.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | September 29, 2019 6:29 PM |
They both feel like they've been pre-chewed by someone else when you are eating them.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | September 29, 2019 6:34 PM |
R58, did you try the "Grand Mac" when that was available? IT was AWESOME.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | September 29, 2019 8:31 PM |
