You all should be giving every dollar you can to the ACLU and SPLC in Texas, Arizona, etc. Give directly to those particular chapters so your money goes specifically to the attorneys who are on the front lines trying to represent these people pro bono.
This is a post-modern deconstructed holocaust. Interesting— my autocorrect didn’t have the word “holocaust.” We we’re prepared for something like this to happen.

R23, and R24, I am going to ask you a sincere question: How well informed are you about Central America, and it’s economy?
You see, here’s the thing, the reasons why the United States has a huge immigration problem with Central America and Mexico, are various. America has consistently meddled with the economy in Central America, and Mexico. Everything from creating banana republics for private, corporate profits, to gorilla warfare, to drug trafficking, and NAFTA, are conditions created by the United States. And that’s not a maybe. These are facts.
As a country, we cannot enter into undeveloped areas, foster corruption, and not expect dire consequences. These immigrants come here because they are poor as fuck. They have nothing on offer for themselves, and nothing on offer for their children. Who the fuck would risk walking hundreds upon hundreds of miles into a strange land, if they did not have to?
It’s complete bullshit to blame these migrants for their poor prospects, when US foreign policies are directly responsible for their dire straits.
Also, please remember to drink more water, so that perhaps you can grow a heart.

Blaming America for the mass migration is like blaming Spain for having set up the shitty colonies in the first place. Okay, but... so what? America's incompetent when it comes to trade deals, but Spain was incompetent when it came to colonization (cf. Britain).

There's big money to be made the in the immigrant industrial complex in which contractors come in & set up tent city jails and hold these people in deplorable conditions, all the while charging the fed government big bucks. That's what this is about - yet another cash grab from Jabba and his ilk. No doubt other repugs like Moscow Mitch have their fingers in this pot too. Though I had to chuckle that children born overseas to military families would be impacted by some of Dump's attempted overhaul of immigration. I wonder how Rush Limbaugh will spin that to all this military die hard listeners.

Washington Post: Immigrant kids fill this town’s schools. Their bus driver is leading the backlash.
© Courtney Perry/For The Washington Post A Worthington resident shows support for school expansion. In five years, voters have rejected an expansion five times. A sixth referendum is set for November. Many students feel pressured to work to pay off their debts and contribute to household expenses: rent, electricity, even WiFi.
One 17-year-old asylum seeker from Guatemala said he cleaned a meatpacking plant by night, attended class by day and milked cows in the afternoon before grabbing a few hours of sleep.
But he could never fully repay the Worthington relative with whom he was living. Now 18, he’s dropped out of school, moved to another state and works construction. His asylum hearing is scheduled for March in Minneapolis but he fears he won’t have the money to attend, forfeiting his already uphill battle for asylum.
“I didn’t think the United States was going to be like this,” he said recently. “So hard.”
