Thomas Dolby & Kathleen Beller

If you didn't watch Dynasty or see the video for "She Blinded Me with Science" throughout the day on MTV, you might not be familiar with the ultimate 80s couple Thomas Dolby and Kathleen Beller - still married thirty-one years later.

I used to see her at gay ladies nights in LA.

And now they have a transgender child.

I just saw her in an episode of Murder, She Wrote last night. She was very pretty, but bland. I don't think she's worked in years.

Their daughter transitioned to a male and married a gay dude not long ago. They seemed supportive of him/hir.

Her hand is huge in OP's photo.

Beller was good in "Promises in the Dark". She blinded me with tears.

Had no idea they were a couple.

R11 - Agreed - I thought I was the only one who remembered her role on Dynasty. He is the perfect example of an Englishman that looks gay AF but is not.

by Anonymousreply 12August 18, 2019 11:32 PM

Loved him back in the day. Music was such fun back then.

by Anonymousreply 13August 18, 2019 11:45 PM

This can only mean that he had/has a rather massive monstercock which she comes back to, year in and year out, since she obviously could have had (and probably did have) any number of other men. Requesting verificatia of sizemeat.

by Anonymousreply 14August 19, 2019 12:23 AM

God R14 - you're so fucking tedious and unfunny.

by Anonymousreply 15August 19, 2019 12:29 AM

Did the daughter grow a cock?

by Anonymousreply 16August 19, 2019 12:31 AM

It also helps that he’s most likely extremely rich!

She Blinded Me With Science was the first song chosen as the theme for "The Big Bang Theory."

Plenty of people think "Dog Eat Dog" was one of my better albums, but in retrospect (a) Dolby pretty much eclipsed me on that record, which is intolerable, and (b) he's not in the same genius league as Shakespeare, Beethoven, Picasso and me.

Kathleen looks very pretty in OPs photo.

Hyperactive is one of my favorite 80s songs

by Anonymousreply 21August 26, 2019 12:59 AM

I remember her in the miniseries, The Blue and the Grey, with John Hammond.

She played the lead in Halloween 3: Season of the Witch.

He was really cute in the early ‘80s. She’s lucky she got him!

My fave of his was “Europa (The Pirate Twins)” song that predated SBMWS

The vid is silly, but the song is kinda deep!

At a quick first glance, I thought this thread was about Colby Keller.

by Anonymousreply 26August 26, 2019 1:43 AM

Dan Hicks' version of "I Scare Myself" is infinitely better than Dolby's.
