Flight attendant Steven Slater who quit and slid down the emergency chute now missing in Mexico
by Anonymous | reply 196 | September 12, 2019 6:41 PM |
Gone Gurl.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 8, 2019 7:07 PM |
Didn’t even last a week.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 8, 2019 7:12 PM |
Trick gone bad.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 8, 2019 7:14 PM |
Can this be cross-referenced to the “Retiring in Central America” thread? How do people just ignore the very real risk of violence in Mexico? Never understood the appeal. There are cheap places to live in the US.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 8, 2019 7:28 PM |
From the bloated, red faced look it should also be cross referenced with a thread about AA. Going out and getting smashed in a third world country is inviting trouble at the very least.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 8, 2019 7:34 PM |
I love this bitch. I hope he’s okay.

by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 8, 2019 7:40 PM |
Judging by his uniforms in the two photos, it looks like he went from being a sky waitress to being a ground waitress. Downgrade!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 8, 2019 7:43 PM |
Who cares about this old queen?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 8, 2019 7:46 PM |
I thought everyone had learned from my anguish when Jack was abducted so senselessly.

One should never mix Spanish Fly and poppers. Especially in Tijuana.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 8, 2019 8:13 PM |
R5 What “bloated and red faced look”? He’s a pink-faced ginger, that’s their normal coloring.
I hope he’s okay.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 8, 2019 8:20 PM |
[quote]But he was reported missing on Tuesday in Tijuana, according to the Chula Vista Police Department in California, as per TMZ.
[quote]His friends pleaded with the public days prior seeking help in locating him, saying they haven’t been able to get in touch with Slater since Sunday.
They're reporting him missing 48 hours after speaking with him? Maybe he's just not into you anymore? He's met some new amigos and has moved on. Did ya ever think of that?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 8, 2019 8:23 PM |
Tijuana bender. He might just be sleeping off a two-day hangover.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 8, 2019 8:32 PM |
Aww, I love that feisty betch. I hope he’s okay.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 8, 2019 8:33 PM |
“...quit and slid down the emergency chute”
Hmmm. He may have had the wrong person slide *up* his poop chute.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 8, 2019 8:43 PM |
R21 - agreed. He must have been on some shit when he pulled that stunt 10 years ago. He fell off the wagon and is PnP'ing around Tijuana.
He's a mess.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | August 8, 2019 8:45 PM |
[quote]He must have been on some shit when he pulled that stunt 10 years ago.

Turn on an overhead light and he'll come running.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 8, 2019 9:06 PM |
R4 Tijuana is an incredibly dangerous city, has been for past 2 decades.
Retiring to Tijuana is akin to moving to the south side of Chicago.
You cannot compare Tijuana to Puerto Vallarta or a nice town full of expats in Costa Rica.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 8, 2019 9:43 PM |
Who moves to Tijuana??
by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 8, 2019 9:49 PM |

Many are people are saying that he didn't tip at Melania's donkey show.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 8, 2019 10:01 PM |
People who are psychologically stable don't commit criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and trespass when quitting their jobs, as he did. Nor do they move to one of the most dangerous cities in the world. He is/was clearly unwell.

[quote]What “bloated and red faced look”? He’s a pink-faced ginger, that’s their normal coloring.
You can't be really be that naive.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 8, 2019 10:06 PM |
Did he ever find a job after he quit his job as a flight attendant?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 8, 2019 10:19 PM |
R35 In OP’s pic it looks like he’s working as a server.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 8, 2019 10:27 PM |
He really reminds me of the late Stephen Stucker from the AIRPLANE movies.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 8, 2019 10:27 PM |
He joined the touring company of Come From Away.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 8, 2019 10:36 PM |
This will end in tears.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 8, 2019 10:36 PM |
God, I hope he didn't run into a coven of witches like that college boy did decades ago.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 8, 2019 11:21 PM |
Witch coven/Drug cartel? That's wild.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 8, 2019 11:26 PM |
That Mark Kilroy story at R40 is horrific.

by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 8, 2019 11:46 PM |
Publicity stunt? To refresh his relevance maybe?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 8, 2019 11:52 PM |
R40 Damn, that has to be one of the most gruesome stories I ever read. The poor guy had his whole life ahead of him at 21 and he died a horrifying death.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 9, 2019 12:06 AM |
Poor kid!
Slater may still be alive. Perhaps he will pop down an AeroMexico plane chute somewhere.

by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 9, 2019 12:43 AM |
Who in their right mind would move to Tijuana? The crime rate there is astronomical and most of it is a horrible hell hole.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | August 9, 2019 12:47 AM |
As we sniffed a fragrant offering of sulfur poo from a scorching hot number this evening, we knew Satan had captured a sister.
Sulfur is Satan's calling card.
We shall say a novena tomorrow at the only Church, one that features the Blessed Virgin, but is not, alas, in Latin.
We must caution that we find Satan, secretly, a very, very hot number.

by Anonymous | reply 53 | August 9, 2019 8:27 AM |
Or uncut pinga.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | August 9, 2019 11:31 AM |
Who the fuck would want to retire to a country that people risk their lives to get the hell out of. And Tijuana no less?🤦🏻♂️
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 9, 2019 12:19 PM |
I remember that story. Up until his murder college kids would go to Matamoras from Padre Island during Spring Break. It’s separated by a bridge. After that, few Americans go to Maramoras. I remember going as a kid back in the early 70’s. Still safe. Now it’s cartel territory.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 9, 2019 1:49 PM |
Yeah - that killing was the end of fun times in Matamoras for kids. Still went for dinner at Garcia’s and maybe a cheap dentist. And then starting in about 2011, the cartel violence made it too dangerous. Sad - because the ones who suffer are the legitimate small businesses on the Mexican side of the border. Now cartels run Matamoras and no one goes across. What most people don’t understand though is the US cities on the border are some of the safest in America - even though right across the Rio Grande are some of the most violent cities in the world. Crazy.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | August 9, 2019 4:00 PM |
It makes me wonder if the voodoo witch involved in Mark’s death is still in prison.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | August 9, 2019 4:32 PM |
straight from Wikipedia:
[quote](Sara) Aldrete was convicted of criminal association in 1990 and jailed for six years. In a second trial, she was convicted of several of the killings at the cult's headquarters, and sentenced to 30 years in prison. If Aldrete is ever released from prison, American authorities plan to prosecute her for the murder of Mark Kilroy.

by Anonymous | reply 60 | August 10, 2019 1:39 AM |
I don’t see a lot of people retiring in Tijuana. But there’s a sizable community about an hour or so south in Ensenada. He may not be aware (or care) people are interested in his whereabouts.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | August 10, 2019 2:06 AM |
Think this might be a lesson for those who want to just “walk away from it all”. Not so black and white. Suffering through a miserable job is sometimes necessary.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | August 10, 2019 2:08 AM |
R45 Holy Fuck, agree, that has to be one of the most gruesome and horrific stories. I can only imagine the absolute hell that kid went through the last hours of his life.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | August 10, 2019 2:28 AM |
Agreed R62 walking away from a miserable job doesn't mean you won't end up in another miserable job. If that job pays well it might be worth it to stay but not forever.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | August 10, 2019 10:23 AM |
Maybe he's just trying to keep his Google searches up?
by Anonymous | reply 65 | August 10, 2019 12:05 PM |
Still no sign of this guy...not looking good.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | August 15, 2019 6:46 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 67 | August 15, 2019 6:50 PM |
Tijuana has a lovely climate, just like San Diego.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | August 15, 2019 7:10 PM |
He didn’t actually retired yet right? From the articles, it said he’s still working. What’s he’s job?
by Anonymous | reply 69 | August 15, 2019 7:37 PM |
Maybe she has gone underground.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | August 15, 2019 7:42 PM |
I'm worried that he picked up some rough trade and it didn't end well. He seemed rather...impulsive.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | August 15, 2019 7:45 PM |
Comedian Kevin Barnett kicked in in Tijuana in January. Seems like a death trap.

Just a wild guess, but I’m thinking somewhere they know there’s no space before a punctuation mark.

[quote]Hello everyone. I am one of Stephen Slater's personal friends from the aviation industry.
[quote]He was working at Seaworld and Chipotle, and had recently -- meaning last week -- moved to San Ysidro just over the border to cut down on costs as San Diego and all of coastal California are very expensive.
[quote]Stephen was not driving to the US but was using Ubers and the San Diego trolly to get to work recently. He had lamented after the shootings in El Paso that his driver didn't understand what was wrong with Americans and their tolerance for mass shootings
[quote]on Sunday night he was returning from work and left as his Facebook status a picture of the border crossing, a picture he took because of how busy it was.
[quote]Stephen has struggled so much in his life, especially with addiction. It was normal for him to go missing for days at a time on a bender, but at least one person knew where he was
[quote]His phone was ringing through Monday and Tuesday at least, and with an international ring tone, indicating his phone at least had not slipped back into the US since then
details at link below

by Anonymous | reply 113 | August 22, 2019 5:06 PM |
I don't think there is any way for this to have a happy ending. It's not like he had the money to just disappear voluntarily. Hope there will at least be some closure.

r113 While I am usually a no Frauen wanted here type, when it comes to this sort of thing, they are helpful. They did the lards work digging up the dirt on Chris Watts. You just have to shake an Almond Roca can and they will come running. It's like the Bat signal, only for Frauen.
*shakes Almond Roca can* Have at it ladies, find our missing lamb!

by Anonymous | reply 149 | August 26, 2019 10:03 PM |
It was exposed as a hoax almost immediately. The media dropped the story like a hot potato as soon as they caught on they were being played. This psycho attention whore doesn't need to be indulged or encouraged.
[quote]By 9 PM the same day Facebook friend, Jason Lopez, posted on Slater’s page that the Ex-pat was at home in Tijuana and did not wish to be disturbed. Once again it appears, Steven Slater has grabbed headlines, coincidentally on the ninth anniversary of his August 9, 2010 “I quit” stunt.
by Anonymous | reply 150 | August 26, 2019 10:22 PM |
Really R149 - did they say what happened. Meth binge?
by Anonymous | reply 151 | August 26, 2019 10:23 PM |
Maybe the Jason Lopez guy killed him. Tortured his FB password out of him first. Killed him and then posted an "all good, nothing to see here" message to throw off the attention. I like that better than thinking this was a ploy for attention.
Seriously, what a fucking asshole to wind people up like that. The assholes at TMZ could have at least posted an update. Everyone involved in this non story is an asshole, especially me for getting fucking sucked into caring if he was taco meat. But hey, maybe he is. I'll hold on to that happy thought.

Oh, I know, R152. At the very least it would have been nice to hear he was being held and kept as a pass-around pig-bottom for the drug cartels.
by Anonymous | reply 153 | August 26, 2019 10:58 PM |
So, this was all a mockery? A sham? No crimes were committed at all? What a load of fun!

Steven will now be passing around the aircraft with free pretzels.

Is his friend from Seaworld - Tony Tilapia - a real person?

[quote]a pass-around pig-bottom for the drug cartels.
This has me giggling for some reason.

Crying Wolf is a dangerous game to indulge in, especially for someone his age and station...

I, for one, is happy he is safe and alive.
by Anonymous | reply 161 | August 28, 2019 8:58 PM |
r161 ....or is he?
by Anonymous | reply 162 | August 28, 2019 10:17 PM |
He hasn't wanted to be disturbed since August 8th? That's three weeks ago tomorrow.
Has he worked again at SeaWorld? Has anyone except "Facebook friend" Jason Lopez spoken to him?
That doesn't sound like "I want to be alone." It sounds like he's taking the dirt nap.
by Anonymous | reply 163 | August 28, 2019 10:28 PM |
I think Ghislaine Maxwell took him hostage and is using him as leverage, but no one's offered as much as a nickel for him. They might even be paying her to keep him.
by Anonymous | reply 164 | August 28, 2019 10:59 PM |
Safe but not sound.
by Anonymous | reply 165 | August 28, 2019 11:03 PM |
I‘d like to think that he’s reading this.
by Anonymous | reply 166 | August 28, 2019 11:32 PM |
I wonder if he's depressed about his current circumstances, I know he hated his job as a flying waitress but it probably paid better than his current job(s).
by Anonymous | reply 167 | August 29, 2019 3:04 PM |
R167 Then his current, er, most recent job must suck. Got any idea what they pay FA's?
Starting pay of about $17 an hour. Median is about $25/hr. $39k a year on average. So an average salary of about $3200 - $3300 a month gross (before taxes and deductions) and with Jet Blue's FA bases in expensive cities: NYC, Boston, Long Beach, CA, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando. And the airline can't have been that great to work for: the FA's voted 2 to 1 to unionize in 2017, long after Steven's last ride on Jet Blue.
Not that Sea World pays that great either, I guess.

He started a GoFundMe

The most puzzling quote from the Kilroy story:
[quote] Kilroy's mother said she received a cross from a Brownsville woman when she was searching for her son in 1989. "It's a reminder every time that I know that the Lord was involved in everything", she said, while she touched and showed the cross around her neck.
She thinks God wanted her son tortured, sodomized, and boiled??

Sorry, but what’s the summary? He’s still lost?
by Anonymous | reply 175 | September 10, 2019 4:55 PM |
Maybe he was a discipline problem growing up?
Ya know, wet the bed and the like.
by Anonymous | reply 176 | September 10, 2019 4:55 PM |
[quote]He’s still lost?
Oh, honey, he’s BEEN lost since his beer swilling chute sliding JetBlue days.
by Anonymous | reply 177 | September 10, 2019 4:56 PM |
Thank you, R177, but I mean physically lost.
by Anonymous | reply 178 | September 10, 2019 4:58 PM |
R176 What the hell, discipline problem children and bed wetting have nothing to do with each other!

by Anonymous | reply 184 | September 11, 2019 1:44 PM |
R182 Is that so? Have followed the story and seen nothing that suggests he's surfaced...
Can you point us toward confirmation that he's OK?
by Anonymous | reply 185 | September 11, 2019 3:44 PM |
r185
it was on his facebook.

R185 It was all over his personal Facebook
by Anonymous | reply 188 | September 11, 2019 6:56 PM |

R190, maybe a frequent visitor decides he wants the less expensive living? He’d be familiar with it, and feel comfortable with it, and feel safe there.

by Anonymous | reply 193 | September 12, 2019 5:43 AM |
If he was seriously missing, the media would be reporting it. Instead, they've been almost conspicuously silent, probably because they either know they were punked or that it was nothing more than a bender.
by Anonymous | reply 194 | September 12, 2019 6:47 AM |
The NY Post reported on it and from there several gay media outlets reported it, but nothing since then.
by Anonymous | reply 195 | September 12, 2019 12:56 PM |
And some of us aren't on Facebook so can't verify that very vague claim (even if it were true)
