They were done wrong by Tapatalk. There's actually 2 L Chats now. When Tapatalk found out they were setting up shop on another forum and were going to kill the Tapatalk board they stole the site from the owners, locked them and most of the moderators out, and turned the site over to some person (the one who most likely notified Tapatalk of their plans). They were talking about suing at one point but I don't know where that went.

Don't know. I don't monitor either one. But I would suspect that the Tapatalk L Chat is probably less popular. I do believe there was a small faction of evil doers on that original board. Always bitching and moaning about one thing or another. I remember a few years back when one rogue moderator locked everyone else (including the owner) out and if I remember correctly deleted a whole lot of data before the owner got control back. This was long before the horrible Tapatalk move.

Isn't L-Chat the board that was formed after DL shut down the lesbian section?

All I know about the name Datalounge is that it was intended to be a pun of "on the DL," because the board was about celebs in the closet. That kind of pun was pretty popular in the 1990s -- you'd have boards called The Edge so you could say you were "on the edge," etc. And Datalounge is SUCH a 1990s early internet name, when all things internet were "data" and forums were "lounges."

It doesn't make a fuck of sense now in 2019, though.
