A man finds a hamburger on the street and this is news? WTF?!
Man Finds Untouched Burger On NY Sidewalk, Freaks Out

Well, the are no In n Outs in the east. I don’t think they go much further north than Texas. So how it got there, and how it (apparently) looked so fresh, is a mystery. But no, probably not worthy of STOP THE PRESSES coverage...but this is the Post we’re talking about....

It's New York. Everything is important.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | July 23, 2019 11:50 AM |
Only in New York folks!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | July 23, 2019 11:58 AM |
Did they say *exactly* where it is?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | July 23, 2019 12:33 PM |
New Yorkers are too sophisticated to eat anything from a ( gasp) chain.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | July 23, 2019 1:31 PM |
R1 is correct but that will not stop NYC bashing
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 23, 2019 1:37 PM |
I might have been tempted to take a bite. For research purposes mind you.

I've had In N Out and wonder what the hullaballoo is. Is the west coast that deprived to think this is something extraordinary? The fries are absolutely terrible
by Anonymous | reply 8 | July 23, 2019 4:39 PM |
It’s totally staged / fake news. God, we are so fucked in the post-journalism age.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | July 23, 2019 4:42 PM |
Stupid publicity stunt. Like dropping Thanksgiving turkeys out of a helicopter. Except less dangerous.

[quote]“It genuinely shook me to my core,” Lincoln Boehm, 31, said about coming across a perfectly wrapped burger from the West Coast chain Saturday
He really needs to examine his life if it shook him to his core.
[quote] Boehm said he’s tried to bring burgers back to the Big Apple after trips to Los Angeles — but they never held. “Every time I’ve done it it becomes inedible,” he said. “The bun gets soggy and it becomes a mess.
How stupid do you have to be not to understand that you would have to deconstruct the hamburger, then reassemble it after reheating the warm pieces like the meat and toasting the buns once you reach your destination.
Then again, he was shaken to the core, so obviously limited.

Is this a clue that one will finally be opening on the east coast?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | July 23, 2019 5:24 PM |
Did he eat it?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | July 23, 2019 5:24 PM |
[quote] “It genuinely shook me to my core,” Lincoln Boehm, 31,
He's a New Yorker, he's resilient. HE will live through this and become a model for us all to admire and emulate.

Maybe it was a stowaway on a flight and fell out of the wheel well?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 23, 2019 5:27 PM |
Just save a burger and re-heat it carefully so it looks fresh, or save a wrapper and reassemble a Big Mac so that in a photo it just LOOKS like an In N Out.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | July 23, 2019 5:29 PM |
How many more get found before In N Out announces that they’re headed to New York?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | July 23, 2019 5:29 PM |

Not to mention that you need to weave your own gingham napkin from the finest Egyptian cotton.

R13, we just got a Chik-Fil-A on the UES and it’s been busy. Maybe the In N Out folks are taking note.

MARY! If a hamburger shakes him to the core, one wonders what his reaction to Trump winning the election was.

The sky was so blue that day.

Fatburger and Whataburger are so much better.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 23, 2019 6:14 PM |
R23, yuck. Neither are.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 23, 2019 7:40 PM |
I'll get out my NY Strong wristband and T-shirt. Clearly, this calls for NYers to unite and stay strong during this fat and carb crisis.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 23, 2019 7:48 PM |
Boehm, the guy who found it and took the photo, "works as a creative director in advertising" per OP's link. That's all you need to know.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | July 23, 2019 7:55 PM |
Good catch R26.
This was probably fabricated.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | July 23, 2019 9:21 PM |
You notice there were no fries with that... It's because they're awful!
by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 24, 2019 1:18 AM |
"Liberal ideas" is a fairly broad term that's been hijacked. Affordable health care is a liberal idea except to those pushing "free" healthcare. Student loan reform is a liberal idea except to those who want loan forgiveness. Etc.
I identify as a liberal, but not as a progressive.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 24, 2019 2:32 PM |
Um, OK, r29.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 24, 2019 3:57 PM |
Pic was taken NOT in NYC.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 24, 2019 4:34 PM |
So the hamburger was a liberal or progressive. R29?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 24, 2019 11:10 PM |
NY rats gave it a hard pass.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 25, 2019 5:44 AM |
Update and "explanation" on how it got there, by the same author, Boehm. He's milking it for all its worth even selling T shirts!
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 25, 2019 12:48 PM |
It was a girl who had some with her on the way back from the west coast, and she dropped one out of her bag when running for the bus.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | July 25, 2019 12:59 PM |
Tens of millions of dollars worth of viral publicity for In N Out. What a masterful stunt on their part.
