Owen Jones destroys Boris Johnson

Owen Jones and Boris Johnson - catnip for DL's Brownshirt wing. Hate away, and I know you will, but Owen is a terrific commentator - well-spoken, with a wide command of the fact, and he absolutely destroys Boris here.

Madness is contagious.

Owen Jones doesn't say anything untrue, or exaggerate the facts. What he says needs to be repeated, and raised by opposition MPs every week in Parliament.

The only things Owen Jones has destroyed are a late night Greggs run of vegan sausage rolls and his own asshole.

The fact that Johnson is even a serious contender for the PM position (and was previously handed a top-level job like Foreign Secretary) is already a national embrassment. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel there in terms of job candidates.

Britain has a big hereditary class divide & therefore, unsurprisingly, one of the lowest rates of social mobility in Europe.

It’s Classism (I wish there was a better, more apt word for it, because this one sounds too nice & harmless, as if it connotes a love of Classical music & literature).

OP Is it cool to hate both these fuckers?

[quote] raised by opposition MPs every week in Parliament.

The opposition is currently preoccupied with its own internal (anti-Semitism) crisis and is in shambles a bit. Worst timing for it really. They can’t really call out someone about casual racism, if they themselves are being accused of systemic ethnophobia & prejudice.

They can and do call him out on other things, but because they’re currently having a leadership revolt it’s drowned out by that.
