Did you find Leonardo attractive in his prime?

Young girls and boys lust over younger Leonardo but what about people who actually were there (or at least adults) when he was younger? Was he hot stuff? Did you find him attractive?

Not even a little bit.

by Anonymousreply 1July 22, 2019 4:32 AM

Yeah. I'm exactly his age and I had an insane crush on him when I was coming out in 93-94. Had pictures of him on my dorm room wall. People even said I looked like him! Funny. I had an autographed movie poster of THIS BOY'S LIFE, too.

He was IT in 1997 and 1998 amongst all my peers, but I was also like 14 then...

Never. His face has a weird infantile quality that always turned me off.

by Anonymousreply 5July 22, 2019 4:49 AM

No, he was never my type (and we are the same age). Too babyfaced or something, then as he matured he started looking a bit froglike. I first knew about him from What's Eating Gilbert Grape and I thought he played "special" a little too well.

With age and weight gain, he became somewhat of a German Olmec head in his later years...

Not for a second.

[quote] Was he hot stuff?

I went to school with girls (and some boys) who saw Titanic 5, 6, 7 times in theaters just because of him. Yeah, he was kind of a big deal.

by Anonymousreply 9July 22, 2019 5:07 AM

Yes but I was like 12. I also had a huge crush on Edward Furlong in his prime.

by Anonymousreply 10July 22, 2019 5:08 AM

OP, Titanic was so huge that Leo's next film, Man in the Iron Mask -- a truly terrible film -- was a major box office smash.

by Anonymousreply 11July 22, 2019 5:20 AM

I was about ten when Titanic went out and little girls in my class were all about him, and everybody was talking about him. It used to annoy me as I didn't like him or the movie. I was a snobbish, judgy asshole at the time.

by Anonymousreply 12July 22, 2019 10:01 AM

Never. He had a body like a rake and a head the size of Texas.

by Anonymousreply 13July 22, 2019 10:22 AM

Absolutely. The floppy hair was cute and his face didn’t seem so big and round.

by Anonymousreply 14July 22, 2019 10:24 AM

No . He had a bit of a mush face like Hurley’s kid , but could clean up well at the Oscars and all. He also had pretty blue eyes and that doesn’t hurt . But never found him sexy or anything.

by Anonymousreply 15July 22, 2019 10:25 AM

I was 7–8 years old when Titanic came out, and seeing Leo in that movie was my first memory of being legitimately sexually aroused. I of course didn't know what sex was or what I was feeling, but I was very much "in love" with him. I even remember making my mom buy me a "Lovin' Leo" fan scrapbook at the grocery store (and she claims to have been "shocked" when I came out—pffffft) so that I could pore over all the beautiful photos of him.

The weirdest thing about this is that, as an adult, I don't find him even remotely attractive. I look at photos of him even when he was younger, and, today, I don't find him hot. In fact, he's kind of the opposite of the types of features I tend to like in men—dark hair, dark eyes, body hair. Leo has none of those features. It's very odd, but I guess is a testament to the fact that tastes develop with age.

Your mom seems nice R16

by Anonymousreply 17July 22, 2019 10:43 AM

Pretty face; scrawny body.

by Anonymousreply 18July 22, 2019 10:46 AM

If his acting career hadn’t worked out he could’ve been in a boy band.

by Anonymousreply 19July 22, 2019 10:57 AM

Does "in his prime" have to be legit age?

by Anonymousreply 20July 22, 2019 11:08 AM

Nope he always struck me a stuck in pre-puberty, like he wouldn't have hair in his nether regions.

by Anonymousreply 21July 22, 2019 11:34 AM

I was 14-15 when Leo was at his peak. His face was too feminine and German for my liking.

by Anonymousreply 22July 22, 2019 12:00 PM

Leo was as cute as Orson.

And look what happened to him—
