Dignified Women

Watching Space 1999, I'm impressed by how cool and collected Barbara Bain is. Even in the face of adversity she remains dignified and mature. Who are some other women who carry themselves in the same dignified manner?

Barbara Bell Geddes as Miss Ellie on Dallas. Always so mature and dignified.

Jaclyn Smith had that cool and collected manner that no other Angel had. Never raised her voice in hysteria, never a hair out of place or a smear of lipstick. Nothing comes close to the elegance of her Martini & Rossi commercials.

Dixie Carter. Or at least her character on Designing Women. Always such a lady. Sometimes, to an annoying extent. I remember one episode where she was annoyed that someone in the office used the word "butt." Sometimes, she could be a bit school marm-y.

Holy crap-- what happened here? Does this new DL have some sort of spelling autocorrect function? Because I sometimes do misspell words, but I sure as hell know how to spell "witch"!
