I think it's a sign of the poster's own insecurity. If you pick out average that means you believe you are below average. I also think a great many people find the person attractive because the media tells that person is attractive.

Or you just see that some people on here make the most meh looking guys sound like they’re stunning. The amount of men on here labeled “gorgeous” and “beautiful” is astounding.

I don't come to Dl to look at pics of men, but simply for the conversation and hundreds of topics discussed. My taste is different than a lot of those who post pictures. It appears the most popular here spend all their days in the gym and have enough facial and body hair to knit a rug. I prefer younger, fairly hairless twinks. There are hundreds of sites to find your own niche. If you think these guys are average, it's what YOU see in them. Others may find their looks extremely stimulating. Maybe you should post a few pics of guys who look great in your mind's eye and see if we agree?
