You buy 12 bracelets & they remove 12 pounds of trash from the oceans.
Are these bracelets tacky? Would you be caught wearing one even if it's for a "good cause"?
I'm not aware of any 2019 versions.

Each bracelet comes in a box and all the boxes come in an even bigger box. Is this a practical joke?

Bracelets come in a small pouch, I have several of them ans the work these guys do is wonderful. Everyone should do their part, pick up litter, keep our beaches and oceans clean.

Of course, when the trend is over and we eventually throw away the bracelets, won't they just end up back in the ocean?

No thanks, I'll stick with my Buddhist prayer bracelet, which does double duty as anal beads.

Isn't the packaging for that boxed set pretty much counter-intuitive? Get the bracelets then the packaging just ends up in another landfill (although not actually in the water, but still.....?)

Pseudo-intellectual Australian singer and UN ocean ambassador Cody Simpson wears them.

So they’re making more junk to reward those who support cleaning up ocean junk, that will eventually end up as more junk in landfills (or possibly in the ocean)? Is that how this works?

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
