"We don't need to bleed."
This news will be hard on Jill.

Something I heard is that in much of human history, women did not really have many periods, because they were pregnant or nursing all the time. Now birth control tricks the body into thinking it's pregnant. It seems fitting enough.

Punctuation is always important.

R2, that's interesting. Ovarian cancer supposedly occurs at a higher rate in women who haven't had children...because they have more periods than women who have given birth.

This will lead to some other malady that we'll have to wear ribbons for and run in marathons

I don’t blame them. If men had periods, we would’ve devised some way to end them even sooner.

The pill isn't good for women. There's a higher chance of cancer and blood clots. Young women who never would get blood clots otherwise can end up getting them and some even die while on the pill. No joke, it has happened and does happen fairly often.

R7, Before the pill many office restrooms had couches for women who fainted during their monthly. It was also the norm at one time to spend 3 days a month in bed "when on the rag" with just a sip of brandy for the extreme pain many endured.
